Chapter 113

Chapter 113: Go Find Yin Shuya, Dare to Stir Up Some Trouble?

The students in the front rows sat quietly.

No one turned around, and there weren’t any suspicious movements.

Those in the back were mostly asleep, barely even lifting their eyelids.

Since Jiang Zhou didn’t find any clues, he just stuffed the paper ball into his pocket.

Then he pulled Feng Siruo’s arm over to use as a pillow and calmly went back to sleep.

Soon, the bell rang for the end of class.

Xu Haodong came over and tapped him on the shoulder, raising his eyebrows.

“Come on, let’s go open the floodgates.”

Jiang Zhou glanced at him. “It’s only a 40-minute class, and you need to pee after every one?”

Xu Haodong blinked. “Huh? Isn’t that normal for you too?”

“I can hold it all morning, okay? Who’s like you?”

He turned to the other guys. “You guys don’t do that, right?”

The nearby boys shook their heads, indicating they were fine for at least two class periods.

Once per class was definitely overkill.

“Haodong, is your kidney shot or something?”

“I mean, other than some reddish pee, I think I’m fine…”

Jiang Zhou’s eyes widened. “You still have that doctor’s card I gave you? You better get it checked.”

Xu Haodong hesitated. “I… I don’t need to go that far, do I?”

“‘Battering rams turn to dust!’” Jiang Zhou dramatically quoted.

“…You’re scaring me. I think I need to take leave and get examined.”

Jiang Zhou shook his head, exasperated, then looked at Feng Siruo.

The little girl was also getting drowsy, her head resting on the desk.

But her left hand was still stretched out under his, already turning red from the pressure.

He rubbed her head gently, got up, and left the classroom.

Who the heck threw that paper ball?

Jiang Zhou pondered while climbing up to the rooftop.

He felt he had to scold this person properly.

In college and still not focused on studying? Just thinking about chasing romance all day?

Don’t they know that “books contain golden mansions and beauties”?

The rooftop was windy, with gusts howling through the metal fencing.

It clanked loudly in the breeze.

But despite the wind, the weather was beautiful — clear skies, big fluffy clouds, and brilliant sunlight.

Though Jiang Zhou had mentioned the rooftop a few times before, this was his first time actually coming up.

He’d only talked about it previously to scare Fang Youcai.

No one hung around rooftops for no reason, unless you’re “Cheng-ge,” the guy who died young.

But the view up here really wasn’t bad.

Jiang Zhou stretched, took a deep breath of fresh air, and immediately felt refreshed.

After a few minutes… still no one showed up.

He yawned and decided to head back to nap some more.

Forget about confessions and all that, maybe someone just wanted to mess with him.

College students were bored out of their minds.

Pretending to be a girl to send flirty paper notes to guys was a classic prank move.

He’d done it once too, duping Guo Wei all semester.

The guy got over 100 notes and never saw a single girl.

Even now, he still believed someone secretly liked him but was too shy to confess.

But who was behind this prank?

Gao Wenkai? Could be.

Or Zhang Guangfa.

Definitely not Xu Haodong. That guy barely had enough time between classes to pee, let alone pull pranks.

As Jiang Zhou prepared to head downstairs…

Creak!

The metal rooftop door suddenly opened.

A figure stepped through, graceful and eye-catching.

She was wearing a light yellow hoodie and washed denim jeans.

The tight fit outlined her perfect curves.

“Jiang Zhou.”

Jiang Zhou turned and blinked in surprise. “Huang Qi? You were the one who called me up here?”

Huang Qi looked confused. “Nope. I just came to get some fresh air.”

“Really?”

“Yeah, why would I lie about that?”

“Here, take a look.”

He pulled the paper ball from his pocket and showed it to her.

“Ew, you scoundrel,” she teased.

“What the hell? How am I a scoundrel? This has nothing to do with me.”

Huang Qi knelt on a bench and threw an arm around his shoulders. “Didn’t I always say you were a playboy? Passing notes like that.”

Jiang Zhou blinked. “That wasn’t from me. Someone sent it to me.”

“Seriously?”

“Got tossed at me in class. I thought it was from you.”

Huang Qi looked at it closely. “They even drew a heart. Must be a girl in class crushing on you.”

Jiang Zhou frowned. “You’re sure this isn’t you messing with me?”

“If I wanted to confess, I’d jump straight into your arms. Who needs kiddie tricks like this?”

“So it was someone else? Damn, is my charm getting that out of hand?”

“If you weren’t attractive, why would I have secretly kissed you?”

“How about another kiss, this time on the lips?”

Huang Qi snorted and blushed. “In your dreams!”

Jiang Zhou glanced again at the note. “Call me up here and don’t show? What’s the meaning of that?”

“Forget the note. What about what I asked you last time?”

“What? About rooming together on the trip?”

Huang Qi blinked. “So you do remember.”

Jiang Zhou pinched her cheek. “Wouldn’t it be better to go find a proper boyfriend?”

“I already did. I’ve got my eyes on you. I’m gonna fight Feng Siruo for you.”

“Don’t bully her. She’ll just cry, so you’ll win too easily.”

Huang Qi ruffled his hair. “I bet she’s even prettier when she cries.”

Jiang Zhou tapped her forehead. “If you bully her, I’ll bully you.”

“Bring it on! If you don’t, you’re not a real man!”

“Fine. Tomorrow night, I’ll prove I’m a man.”

The two of them bantered back and forth for a while.

Before long, the bell rang for the next class.

What they didn’t see was that…

Behind the door, someone had been standing there the whole time.

She had been watching through the glass for a long while, and in the end, with a look of disappointment, turned and walked away.
