Chapter 1 The Standoff

At either end of the silent road, two groups faced each other.

The brawny man frowned, clearly not expecting the other party to still be alive!

"Two cockroaches with tenacious vitality..." The brawny man smirked. "Not bad luck, either."

The RPG rocket had struck the lower rear of the SUV, the powerful explosion flipping the vehicle, but not directly impacting the occupants.

The brawny man guessed that this was the reason Li Tianran and Ding Lu had survived.

"Take them out." The brawny man waved his hand, and a dozen of his men raised their guns, aiming directly at Li Tianran and Ding Lu.

Li Tianran looked at this scene, feeling helpless.

Li Tianran looked at the woman expressionlessly, coldly asking, "Why are you here, and what did those people chasing you want you for?"
