Chi Yue grinned, “I should’ve called you over, but it was too early. I was afraid you wouldn’t be able to get up.”
“That depends on what it is! Next time there’s a scene like this one where we beat up a mistress, you absolutely must not forget me.”
“Alright, are you free? Let’s go out for a meal.”
“Absolutely! Meet at the usual place, wait for me.”
Chi Yue changed the address with the driver. Not long after she arrived at the restaurant, Nan Bingyu showed up, followed by Xi Yihang.
With a sullen face, Nan Bingyu sat down beside Chi Yue. Shortly after, Xi Yihang took a seat too. Nan Bingyu immediately shifted to the other side of Chi Yue and warned him, “Can you give me a meter of personal space?”
Xi Yihang looked startled, “Sorry, I just… was afraid you’d drink again.”
Lately, Nan Bingyu had been drinking often due to work pressure, and when she drank, her true nature came out. At the bar, she would flirt with young guys, and several times she almost went to a hotel. Therefore, Xi Yihang now watched over her as if she were a criminal.

Xi Yihang finally gave in, “Okay, call me when you’re finished, and I’ll come pick you up.”
Nan Bingyu nodded like a pecking chicken, “You go see the client then, I won’t keep you company today.”
Once Xi Yihang left, Nan Bingyu started to complain to Chi Yue about how she had lost her freedom after having two kids and how now that she could finally have fun, she ended up saddled with an old man.
Despite the complaints, her expression was tinged with happiness.
Chi Yue saw through her but said nothing, listening with a smile as she spoke.
Having vented enough, Nan Bingyu couldn’t help asking about the day’s events, “What’s the situation with Zhan Youyou now? Will she be sentenced?”
“Hard to say.”
“What do you mean hard to say?”
“Fu Rongyin has gone there, and based on his past actions, he won’t let Zhan Youyou come to harm.”
Nan Bingyu was furious, “What’s with that fifth brother of yours? You’re his Empress!”
Chi Yue was calmer than her, “Not for long.”
Still feeling a headache, Nan Bingyu said, “What kind of love potion has Zhan Youyou given him? No, I have to ask Xi Yihang later, see if there’s a way to get her locked up—the kind where she can’t get out.”
