Chi Yue behaved as if no one else were around as she went to the restaurant, had a quick breakfast, and then left, claiming she was off to work. In reality, she headed to No.1 Bay.
She needed to catch up on sleep and couldn’t let Chi Jianshan find out she had been up all night, or he would start worrying again.
As luck would have it, she ran into Chu Shuo at the entrance of the apartment building.
Chu Shuo appeared to be in good spirits. “Here to see me?”
Chi Yue thought about what Nan Bingyu had told her last time and said, “No, I came to get some things. Are you heading out to work now, or…?”
“To work. Why?”

A smile still lingered on Chu Shuo’s face, but Chi Yue clearly noticed his smile fade a little.
“I’ve apologized to her.”
Seeing that he didn’t want to talk about Leng Siling, Chi Yue made some small talk and then went upstairs.
No.1 Bay was Fu Rongyin’s property, and since he hadn’t given it to her and it would be inconvenient to come here after the divorce, it was essential for her to buy a new property to have a space of her own.

“Do you have any proof that he allowed you to move in?”
Zhan Youyou looked at her as if she were looking at an idiot, “Could I have gotten in without his permission?”
“With so many people doing your bidding, you’ve never been shy about skulking around and engaging in sneaky activities, have you?”
This time Zhan Youyou wasn’t fooled and caught the insinuation, becoming furious, “What do you mean? Are you suspecting that I moved in without permission?”
“I didn’t say that.”
Chi Yue spoke in an indifferent tone, a stark contrast to Zhan Youyou’s agitated demeanor.
Zhan Youyou, seething with anger but seemingly thinking of something, raised her chin defiantly, “Trying to provoke me into leaving with reverse psychology? It’s useless, Chi Yue. If I were you, I wouldn’t bother coming here for nothing. Even if you call Qi Yizhou over, he won’t send me away. If you’re unhappy about me moving in, you can stay here too.”
Chi Yue gave her a deep look, “I will move in, but a place polluted by trash needs to be renovated before it’s fit for living again.”
Having said that, Chi Yue turned and left without looking back.
Zhan Youyou watched her leave with an effortless poise, grinding her teeth in resentment. Her eyes were filled with malice, “Chi Yue, just you wait, you won’t be able to stay so calm for long!”
After leaving No.1 Bay, Chi Yue called her divorce lawyer to inquire about the ownership of the apartment there, only to be told by the lawyer that her name was on the property deed.
Chi Yue was shocked, and after much thinking, she couldn’t figure out when Fu Rongyin had transferred the property into her name.
Unable to recall, she let it go. Now that the apartment was hers, she would not let Zhan Youyou occupy it for free.
