Chapter 721: Chapter 721: Chi Yue, Didn’t You Remember Him?

Chi Yue had already gotten out of bed and was walking around when Fu Xingchuan arrived; she was in the living room playing with Fu Mianmian.

Fu Xingchuan walked up to her and sized her up, clucking his tongue, “How did you manage to make yourself look like this? No wonder you can’t keep a man.”

Chi Yue remained calm, “If you consider yourself a guest, you’d better watch your words.”

Fu Xingchuan sat down next to her nonchalantly and took Fu Mianmian into his arms, “Mianmian, has Zhan Mobai come to see you?”

Chi Yue glanced at Fu Mianmian who then widened her eyes and asked Fu Xingchuan, “Uncle, is Zhan Mobai coming to play with me?”

Chi Yue secretly breathed a sigh of relief.

Lin Wanyun had left Nancheng. Before she left, she made a call to her asking her to conceal the fact that she had been to Nancheng.

Chi Yue had previously instructed Fu Mianmian and thankfully, the child was clever and did not say anything wrong in front of Fu Xingchuan.

Upon hearing this, Fu Xingchuan looked at Chi Yue and suddenly laughed, “Well taught. But do you think anyone would believe her?”

Chi Yue remained composed, “If you don’t believe her, you wouldn’t ask.”

Fu Xingchuan seemed defeated by her, put Fu Mianmian down, and she ran off instantly.

Fu Xingchuan scanned the empty house, “Chi Yue, if you regret it now, I can still marry you.”

“Why would I regret it?”

He scoffed lightly, “To meet a man like Fu Rongyin is indeed your luck, but even he has treated you like this, yet you still have no regrets. That actually makes me think too highly of your ambitions.”

“Are you here to irritate me? Fu Xingchuan, even if I divorced Fu Rongyin, I wouldn’t get together with you.”

Fu Xingchuan stared at her, realizing she wasn’t joking, and his smile faded.

“Why don’t you ask why I came back?”

“Your home is here, isn’t it normal to come back?”

“Chi Yue,” Fu Xingchuan’s gaze turned stern, “The old man from the Fu family wants me to enter a political marriage. This is your last chance.”

Chi Yue still appeared indifferent, “Congratulations, you’re finally getting married.”

Fu Xingchuan’s eyes stared at her unwaveringly for a long, long time before he lazily leaned back on the sofa, “After all, I was mistaken, Chi Yue, you heartless woman.”

Chi Yue: “…”

After finally seeing off Fu Xingchuan, Lin Wanyun’s call came through.

“Chi Yue, did Fu Xingchuan come to see you?”

“Yes, he just left.”

“You…”

“Don’t worry, I didn’t say you had been here.”

Lin Wanyun’s tone sounded somewhat anxious, “I’m not talking about that, I’m asking, did he mention anything about getting married?”

“He said he’s entering a political marriage.”

“Then it’s over, he’s probably planning to run away from home.”

Chi Yue had a headache, “What happened?”

“He had a falling out with his family before coming to you and absolutely refused to agree to the marriage, saying he would only marry you in this lifetime. I guess he even took his luggage when he left, and it’s unlikely he drove the family car.”

Chi Yue, struck by a thought, stepped out the front door and saw that Fu Xingchuan’s car was parked there, door wide open, cleanly emptied of any person.

Chi Yue couldn’t quite understand, why would he be so fixated on her?

“Chi Yue, is it possible that you’ve not remembered him?” Lin Wanyun suddenly said.

“What?”

Lin Wanyun sighed, “It seems you haven’t remembered him yet. It’s not your fault, it’s just that he’s too sensitive. Don’t overthink it, we’ll find a way to contact him.”

Chi Yue wanted to ask more, but Lin Wanyun had already hung up the phone.

Chi Yue was confused, especially after Lin Wanyun’s last remark, nothing seemed right.
