Chapter 727: Chapter 727: Refreshing
Zhan Youyou felt a tingling sensation all over her scalp as she saw Fu Xingchuan standing there indifferently. She roared furiously, “Fu Xingchuan, are you dead? Why aren’t you helping me push her away!”
Fu Xingchuan had originally no intention to intervene, but since Zhan Youyou had already spoken, he could no longer just stand by.
But…
“I’ll help, but you have to deal with that woman for me.”
Fu Xingchuan and Zhan Youyou were here to negotiate terms, but they hadn’t anticipated this mishap.
Zhan Youyou also knew that Fu Xingchuan wanted her help to deal with his fiancée. She originally had many strategies to make Fu Xingchuan unconditionally help her take back Fu Rongyin, but for now, she could only swallow her anger and agree.
At this moment, she deeply loathed Nan Bingyu.
If it weren’t for her, why would she gain no advantage and even be threatened by Fu Xingchuan!
Nan Bingyu’s actions continued, and her clothes had been pulled open. Without time to think further, Zhan Youyou shouted, “I agree to your terms, now get her off me, immediately!”
Thus, with the help of Fu Xingchuan, Nan Bingyu was pulled away.
Nan Bingyu exhaled sharply, feeling relieved, and sneered, “Just a weakling, without your family backing you up, you are nothing.”
She disdainfully dusted off her hands and went back to Chi Yue, “I’m going to wash my hands; they’re filthy.”
Chi Yue had watched the whole ordeal, and seeing Nan Bingyu take advantage and still look disdainful, she couldn’t help but chuckle, “Go ahead.”
Feeling Zhan Youyou’s murderous gaze, Chi Yue looked back unabashedly, a sharp glint flashing through her eyes.
She could endure, but that didn’t mean she would always endure.
Chi Yue looked away, only to see Chu Shuo observing her.
“What’s wrong?” she asked.
Chu Shuo chuckled, “I was just thinking… never mind, this is good.”
Chu Shuo’s words confused Chi Yue, but she didn’t delve deeper.
Nan Bingyu returned quickly. As soon as she did, Xi Yihang grabbed her hand and checked it repeatedly.
Nan Bingyu pulled her hand back, “What are you doing?”
“You’re not hurt.”
As he said this, a sinister look flashed through Xi Yihan’s eyes, though it was fleeting, Nan Bingyu caught it.
She glared at him, “At that level, how could she hurt me?”
Xi Yihang’s handsome face remained expressionless as he offered her some food, “Eat, you need to replenish your energy.”
Chu Shuo clicked his tongue, “People these days, it’s better to keep things simple. At least they know how to care for others.”
With one look, Nan Bingyu glared at him. Chu Shuo had already put down his cutlery, “I’ve got something else to do, so I’ll be leaving first.” He looked at Chi Yue, “Shall I take you back first?”
Before Chi Yue could speak, Nan Bingyu interjected, “You can go. We’ll take Yueyue back later.”
Chu Shuo looked at Chi Yue, who nodded toward him, “Go ahead, I’ll swing by the studio later.”
“Alright, got it.”
After Chu Shuo left, it wasn’t long before Chi Yue also left.
The workload at the studio had been heavy recently, and upon arriving at the studio, Chi Yue went straight into the lab.
On the way, Dai Qiu came in to call her, saying someone was looking for her.
Her work being half-done, she asked the person to wait.
When she emerged from the lab two hours later, she was surprised to find that the visitor was Qin Ya.
After a brief moment of shock, Chi Yue approached, “Sorry to have kept you waiting.”
Qin Ya smiled lightly, “It was my decision to wait here, no need to apologize.”
She glanced around the office environment, “I heard this is your own venture? I’ve heard good things about your studio from friends. If your mother were still here, she would have been very proud of you.”
Chi Yue nodded, disregarding her last comment, “Did you need something from me?”
“There is something I need your help with.” Qin Ya took out an envelope and placed it on the table, “I want you to do a paternity test involving Fu Runan and Fu Xingchuan; they are not biologically related.”
Chi Yue was baffled, “If I remember correctly, when Fu Xingchuan returned to the Fu Family, he brought a paternity test with him.”
“Yes, but that paternity test was also from your hand.”
Chi Yue froze, clearly remembering she had never taken their business.
Qin Ya’s following words cleared her confusion, “Fu Rongyin had handed it to you.”
