Chapter 622: Chapter 622: Fu Rongyin, Leaves with Nothing
“Once this is over, I won’t see her again.”
“Then, come find me after it’s over, please, Mr. Fu.”
Fu Rongyin wanted to explain but felt powerless to do so, he gave her a deep look and walked out of the room.
As soon as he stepped out of the room, a loud noise came from behind, and the door closed in front of him, he even heard the sound of the room locking.
Fu Rongyin didn’t linger, he went downstairs, only to see that Chi Jianshan had somehow positioned himself there.
Chi Jianshan must have heard their conversation and said, “Although I don’t know what you were talking about, Fu Rongyin, if you hurt my daughter, even if I am very satisfied with you, I won’t let you be together.”
Fu Rongyin clenched his fists, his cold face tensing up tightly, but soon relaxed again, “I won’t hurt her.”
“It’s best you don’t. Since she won’t keep you, I won’t either—go back.”
Fu Rongyin hadn’t expected Chi Jianshan to also dismiss him, he paused for a moment, then quickly left.
Chi Jianshan watched his retreating figure, then glanced toward the direction of upstairs, sighed and left.
—
It didn’t take long for Nan Bingyu to learn about Chi Yue’s situation.
That day, under the guise of work, she invited Chi Yue out and discovered that Chi Yue had lost a lot of weight.
Her heart felt uneasy, “It’s just a man, is he really worth it?”
Chi Yue glanced at her irritably, “What are you thinking? This is from the medicine I’ve been taking. Besides making me lose weight, it’s made me feel much lighter.”
“Really?” Nan Bingyu was clearly skeptical.
“I gain nothing from lying to you.”
At that, Nan Bingyu’s expression softened quite a bit, then she asked, “What exactly is going on with Fu Rongyin? Did Lu Nanxi really get pregnant with his child?”
A flash of something unusual crossed Chi Yue’s eyes as she casually said, “I’ve refiled for divorce. Even if they get married right away, it has nothing to do with me.”
Nan Bingyu frowned, “Yueyue, that’s the man you groomed with your own hands, are you just going to let someone else have him?”
Chi Yue suddenly laughed, “That’s why I made him pay a price, the price of all the assets he holds in his hands, Fu Rongyin is left with nothing.”
Nan Bingyu looked at her in surprise, “Are you serious?”
The last time Chi Yue mentioned it, she thought Chi Yue was joking.
“Do I look like I’m joking? I don’t do things where I lose everything.”
Nan Bingyu opened her mouth but said nothing, instead, she gave her a thumbs up.
Just then, someone approached them.
Nan Bingyu raised an eyebrow when she saw who it was, “Fu Xingchuan, why do you keep lingering like a bad spirit?”
Fu Xingchuan leaned lazily back in his chair, “I’m not clinging to you, you don’t have to take it personally.”
“Who knows what you’re up to,” Nan Bingyu implied.
Yet Fu Xingchuan said, “Don’t worry, I’m not here to gather information for my half-brother from a different mother.” He looked at Chi Yue, a mischievous smile curling his lips, “I’m here for Yueyue.”
Nan Bingyu immediately looked at Chi Yue, who was forced to speak, “He’s pursuing me.”
Nan Bingyu: “…”
“I accepted.”
Fu Xingchuan flashed a triumphant smile at Nan Bingyu.
Nan Bingyu gasped, “No way, Yueyue, you like this type?”
Never mind that Fu Xingchuan is a member of the Fu Family with a subtle relationship with Fu Rongyin, even if he had no relation to Fu Rongyin, he and Fu Rongyin are completely different types of people.
To say Chi Yue likes this type, she doesn’t believe it.
“What’s wrong with my type? Youthful, sunny, handsome, healthy, you seem to have quite an opinion about me?”
Nan Bingyu scoffed lightly, “I not only have an opinion about you, I have an opinion about all with the surname Fu!”
Fu Xingchuan immediately looked at Chi Yue, but found that she was watching the direction of the restaurant entrance, where Lu Nanxi and Fu Rongyin were walking into the restaurant.
Chi Yue withdrew her gaze, thinking that not greeting them would avoid awkwardness.
However, fear often summons exactly what one fears.
Lu Nanxi was already walking towards them, greeting them, “What a coincidence, Miss Chi, you’re also dining here?”
