Chapter 609: It Really Is Him!

Chapter 609: Chapter 609: It Really Is Him!

Nan Bingyu lay on the sofa with a look of utter despair, "It’s not a macho man; it’s Xi Yihang."

Chi Yue was startled, "It really was him!"

Nan Bingyu looked at her with surprise.

Chi Yue recounted what she had seen of Xi Yihang on the street last night, "I thought I was seeing things, but it turns out..."

"You saw him? Then why didn’t you..." Suddenly recalling something, Nan Bingyu was filled with regret.

Last night, to prevent interruptions to her perfect evening with the macho man, she had turned off her phone, and now...

She pinched the bridge of her nose, "I have no one to blame but myself."

Nan Bingyu asked, "What was the situation last night?"

Nan Bingyu sighed again.

Last night, she arrived at the hotel with someone, still dressed, only for Xi Yihang to burst through the door, and then, she saw the muscular man getting dragged out by him.

At this point, Nan Bingyu voiced her confusion, "I really didn’t expect Xi Yihang to have such an aggressive side."

Compared to the days when he kept her locked up, the way he handled the macho man was simply too gentle.

Chi Yue fell silent.

It could only mean that Xi Yihang had been watching Nan Bingyu; otherwise, why didn’t he look for her normally, but the moment she went to that kind of place, he’d show up?

She had seen Xi Yihang arriving with a face dark with rage, and looking at the mess in the hotel room, one could only imagine how furious he was last night.

Luckily, he no longer dealt with Nan Bingyu in the hurtful way he had before.

"Should we call the police?" Nan Bingyu suddenly asked.

Nan Bingyu was initially startled, then remarked with a sense of resignation, "If I could call the police, I wouldn’t have needed to ask you to come over."

Even though Xi Yihang had been horrible to Nan Bingyu before, and they had managed to get him taken to the police station, he always got released in the end.

Moreover, last night’s incident occurred because she had played a part in it, giving him the opportunity.

With a long sigh, "Ask the front desk to send some drinks over, let’s have a good chat."

Chi Yue spent the afternoon drinking in Nan Bingyu’s room, and by the time she left the hotel, she was feeling tipsy.

Standing by the roadside waiting for a car, she nearly lost her balance several times. A considerate girl approached, asking if she needed help; Chi Yue asked if she could help her call for a designated driver.

Just then, a conspicuous sports car stopped in front of her, and Fu Xingchuan, sitting in the car, greeted Chi Yue, "Sister, shall I take you home?"

The girl warily eyed Fu Xingchuan, asking Chi Yue, "Sister, do you know him?"

Chi Yue, not yet drunk to the point of unconsciousness, nodded, "He’s my brother-in-law."

The girl then relaxed and helped her into the car.

As the sports car sped off, the cold wind carried away some of her drunkenness.

She half-closed her eyes to watch the streetscape, using it to avoid conversing with Fu Xingchuan.

But Fu Xingchuan wouldn’t let her have her way, "How did you end up so drunk at the hotel? Doesn’t Fu Rongyin care about you?"

Chi Yue turned to look at him, "What does it have to do with him?"

Fu Xingchuan chuckled lightly, "Yes, it’s none of his business, is it okay if I just want to know?"

Chi Yue turned her gaze back to the window.

The person in the passenger seat had her long hair blown about, revealing a delicate neck. Her profile was soft and beautiful, the type all men liked, a stark contrast to her rational demeanor.

Fu Xingchuan swallowed, "Have you thought it over?"

"What?" Chi Yue didn’t hear him clearly.

"The thing I mentioned before, about being my girlfriend."

Chi Yue looked at him seriously, making him feel a tingling sensation in his scalp, he couldn’t help but ask, "What’s wrong?"

"Are you really clueless or just pretending? My uncle has been discharged from the hospital after the surgery."

Fu Xingchuan was momentarily taken aback, then laughed, "What does that have to do with being my girlfriend?"
