352: Chapter 43: Ancient Invasion 352: Chapter 43: Ancient Invasion New York has fallen, the streets are full of the citizens’ cries and the dinosaurs’ roars.
Some people tried to escape in their cars, but they were no match for the might of the rampaging Tyrannosaurus.
Explosions and dense smoke began to rise in the city.
There are plenty of gun stores, so occasional scattered gunshots can still be heard, interspersed with citizens’ cheers, which quickly turned into screams and fleeing.
Tang Zheng was strolling through the corridors of the hospital, nonchalantly inspecting the deserted wards.
Occasionally, he would glance out of the windows, where he could see the figures of people fleeing in panic.
“Where’s the operating room?
I’ve always wanted to see it.
This is an opportunity.
And the blood bank, and stuff.” Lu Fan puckered her lips, counting off places she wanted to go on her fingers, completely without any sense of tension.
What are dead people to her?
They’re not her kindred, after all.
“Do you think this is a sight-seeing tour?
Want to check out the morgue too?” Nicole gave her an annoyed glance.
“No!” Lu Fan immediately trembled and waved her hands in refusal.
“Tang, aren’t you going to save them?
Those dinosaurs are no match for you, are they?” Nicole, unable to bear the sight of the dying citizens, pleaded with Tang Zheng.
“After the initial chaos, the police and the army will show up.
All we have to do is rest and wait for the tyrant to make his appearance.” Tang Zheng really didn’t have the extra energy to save those insignificant people.
“You might think it’s cruel, but I have to ensure we have the maximum advantage when facing the tyrant.”
“Nicole, don’t be foolish.” Miranda didn’t agree either, “Tang Zheng isn’t made of iron, you should save your strength.”
“Where can I take a shower?
I feel uncomfortable all over.” Tang Zheng pointed at himself, “American hospital layouts should be similar, right?”
“I wouldn’t know.” Nicole shook her head, “I’ve never been a nurse in this hospital.”
“Tang, these kinds of hospitals usually have VIP wards, luxury suites, where you should be able to take a shower.
Maybe even arrange for a nurse to give you some special services.” Miranda cast a flirtatious glance at Tang Zheng.
“Forget it, I’ll find it myself.
In general, the layout of the whole building can be found in the main hall.” Tang Zheng originally wanted to save some trouble, but now he had to do things himself.
“Isn’t that a bit risky?
There should be people who’ve escaped into the hospital now.” Lu Fan showed her concern, “Let Nicole find it.
We wait here, after all, she’s dressed as a nurse.”
“Hehe, too cautious.
With so much chaos, who would care about you?
Besides, AK isn’t a firestick.” Tang Zheng ruffled Lu Fan’s hair with amusement, “The first time I entered the Trojan Horse Game, I robbed a bus and occupied a five-star hotel.
At that time, there were thousands of Los Angeles police officers sniping outside.”
“They later turned into zombies, an entire city full of zombies, with only Uncle and a dozen others left alive.” Lu Fan explained proudly, she had already heard of Tang Zheng’s experiences.
“You are insane!” The two women stared, dumbfounded, their eyes filled with curiosity, “How did you survive?”
“Of course by fighting my way out.” Tang Zheng stood by the elevator, pressing the door open button, “Don’t worry, the power won’t cut out in the short term.”
With a ding, the elevator descended to the lobby.
Just as the door cracked open, Tang Zheng spotted a crowd of people pushing to get on the lift, their faces filled with anxiety.
Upon seeing the elevator open, the citizens tried to squeeze in.
Some of them, however, paused when they saw Tang Zheng and his companions armed with guns.
They stopped in their tracks, but the crowd moved a few steps forward due to inertia.
“Get lost!” Lu Fan pulled out her revolver and fired two shots.
She didn’t want to get trampled.
Miranda also aimed her gun at the crowd, if these people got in, they’d probably be squashed to death.
At the sound of gunshots, the citizens were stunned, but unfortunately, the little loli didn’t carry much intimidation, so they didn’t retreat.
“You’re forcing me?” Lu Fan’s mouth started twitching.
She took out a hand grenade, pulled the pin, and roared, “If I open this grip, it’ll explode.”
The citizens stirred up a commotion.
Those at the front wanted to retreat, those at the back were still pushing forward.
Even some took the wrong way and rushed inside the hospital lobby towards the elevator.
After all, there were too many people.
Lu Fan’s face turned black with rage.
“Cover your ears.” Tang Zheng positioned his gun muzzle diagonally upwards and pulled the trigger.
The bullet burst out and the echo reverberated throughout the elevator shaft.
Tang Zheng’s firing muzzle descended slowly, those crowds blocking the entrance of the elevator scattered like birds and beasts at this time, running faster than the startled rabbits.
Some unfortunate ones even fell and got trampled.
When Tang Zheng leisurely came out, some people rushed into the elevator, frantically pushing the close door button, while others tried to find hiding places through the stairs.
Especially when a Tyrannosaurus smashed through the glass door and barged into the lobby, the panic hit its peak.
Miranda was scared too, but she felt at ease following behind Tang Zheng for some reason.
Tang Zheng switched to the Thunderstorm rifle and fired two shots at the Tyrannosaurus’s head, instantly killing it.
The headless corpse of the Tyrannosaurus collapsed on the ground, even knocking over a support pillar.
For a moment, the entire lobby fell into silence.
Everyone stared in amazement at the young man from the east.
His casual strut was too shocking.
Then there was that loli who hopped and skipped to the notice board by the door, looking at the hospital layout map.
Tang Zheng didn’t find any useful information at the front desk, he smashed the LCD monitor with the butt of the gun and randomly opened a drawer to inspect.
“What’s that?” Nicole glanced, blushed, and turned her head away.
“Found it!” Lu Fan ran towards the elevator, a group of citizens having seen their strong ability to kill the Tyrannosaurus, followed in a hurry.
“Beat it, don’t follow!” When Tang Zheng got into the elevator, Lu Fan immediately turned hostile, driving them all out, “kill him if he doesn’t listen.”
A group of people watched the elevator doors close and angrily cursed before each finding their own hiding place.
“Lu Fan, you shouldn’t be like this!” Nicole felt that Little Lolita was too ruthless.
“What if I told them to go to the tenth floor?
How would we hide then?
The more people there are, the less safe.
” Lu Fan was annoyed, “I’m doing this for your safety.
Why are you blaming me?”
Nicole turned various shades of red at Lu Fan’s words, suddenly realizing that, if not for Tang Zheng, she would have been driven away by Lu Fan like those other unfortunate souls.
As expected, the VIP ward was luxurious with a refrigerator, an air conditioner, and all other necessities.
Lu Fan glanced at the big bed, cheered, and then made a flying leap onto the sofa.
He picked up the remote control from the coffee table, turned on the television and continuously switched channels on the large screen across from him.
“Fries and soda!” Lu Fan pulled out snacks, completely relaxed, and began enjoying his afternoon entertainment time; he asked, “Uncle, how about I take a bath with you?”
“No.” Tang Zheng headed towards the bathroom; Miranda wanted to follow him, but a certain Little Lolita was playing the third wheel.
“You can go take a shower in the room next door, and just lock the door.” Tang Zheng wasn’t looking for a roll in the hay.
He locked the door, turned on the showerhead, and began to shower.
After ten minutes, a hot shower revived Tang Zheng’s energy.
He had just dried his body and was about to go out when Miranda barged in, hugged him, and planted a kiss on him.
“What the hell are you doing!” It took all of Tang Zheng’s strength to push her away.
“Don’t worry, Lu Fan got bored and took Nicole to explore the hospital.” Miranda explained, “Little Lolita still can’t forget about the operating room.
Oh, he left you a walkie-talkie.”
“I’m not in the mood.” Tang Zheng didn’t want to waste his strength, and he wasn’t worried about Lu Fan.
That Little Lolita was too cunning.
Taking Nicole along probably wasn’t just for guiding but for using her as bait.
…
After the fight, Tang Zheng quickly rinsed off his body, returned to the living room, sat on the sofa, took out a can of food, and started eating.
Miranda came out in her protective clothing a minute later, using a bath towel to dry her wet hair.
“Are you satisfied?” Miranda sat next to Tang Zheng, rested her head on his shoulder and said, “It would be great if we could just sleep now.”
“What if I said the next Golden Single Horn would also go to Nicole, what would you do?” Tang Zheng casually switched channels, all of which were flooded with ads.
Miranda’s body immediately stiffened, she stared at Tang Zheng and shouted, “What kind of joke are you making?
Am I not better than that little girl?”
Tang Zheng laughed out loud, and just shrugged it off.
Miranda knew that she had lost her composure and that Tang Zheng was just teasing her.
She felt a little annoyed, but she couldn’t help it.
After all, this was a matter of life and death, and she couldn’t stay calm.
“Eat up.” Tang Zheng handed her the prepared canned food and a fork.
“Uncle, the operating room is really interesting.” With a thud, Lu Fan kicked the door open and walked in.
“Tang, when are you going to replace my father?” Nicole followed behind, clearly unhappy about being conscripted.
“Uncle, why are you not wearing the sportswear?
You look so ugly this way.” Lu Fan directly squeezed between Miranda and Tang Zheng, separating them, then hugged his arm and started acting adorable.
“It’s too hot.” Tang Zheng gave her an excuse, then said, “Go check on Jack and the others.”
“Tang.” When they approached the teleportation gate, Julia, with Demi in her arms, happily ran over.
Luckily, Jenny survived as well.
“Did everyone else die?” Lu Fan sniffled, “Why are they taking so long to get here?”
“Are they eating on the way?” Miranda had just finished speaking when a blue light flashed from the teleportation gate, and David and his team appeared.
Leonard was missing, and Danny looked dejected, drenched in blood and wearing protective clothing, but the others were fine.
“He’s got two broken ribs.” Jack checked Danny out and said, “But it’s not a big deal.”
“That’s awfully selfish.” Lu Fan muttered, covering her mouth.
Robert and his team certainly had medicine, but they apparently hadn’t given any to Danny.
Even if Danny’s entire sternum had been broken, even though his face was pale, he still managed to flirt with Natalie.
“It was difficult to kill two Armed Tyrannosaurus, but the Golden Single Horn has gathered quite a few.” Danny boasted as a show of strength to Tang Zheng.
Then he noticed Tang Zheng’s refreshed appearance and uniform.
He frowned and said, “While we were fighting and serving as bait, you ran ahead.
So, how was it?
You enjoyed your hot shower, didn’t you?”
“Yes, it was good.
You can take one too.
We’re staying at the hospital today and setting off again tomorrow.” Tang Zheng nodded without arguing with him.
But when he thought that Danny was being used as cannon fodder by David without his knowledge, he felt sorry for him.
“Ha, you’re afraid to go alone, aren’t you?” Danny wanted to say something, but was gagged by Miranda’s words.
“Tang Zheng killed two Tyrannosaurus!”
At once, the room fell silent.
Robert and the others looked at Tang Zheng incredulously.
