Chapter 239: Prime War [End]

Chapter 239: Prime War [End]

Dust and smoke billowed high into the sky above the Nullarbor Plain, a vast expanse that no longer wore its peaceful facade. The barren land, once filled only with dry shrubs and empty stretches, had transformed into a colossal mechanical graveyard.

Wrecked mechas, towering as tall as buildings, lay scattered in heaps, some still sparking from shattered metal joints.

Fragments of spacecraft littered the ground, their once-gleaming metal now scarred with scratches and gaping bullet-like holes.

In the distance, five massive alien Kur spacecraft hovered, their engines growling low, filling the air with bone-rattling vibrations.

"Phew... Almost done."

Ren stood atop the wreckage of a spacecraft he had just destroyed. His clothes were tattered, torn in places, revealing bloodied wounds across his body. Blood trickled from his arms and legs, but his eyes burned with unrelenting vigor, showing no signs of exhaustion.

The sword in his hand, a manifestation of the Everlasting Platinum Divine Authority, glowed softly with a platinum light that seemed to dance, ready to slice through anything—matter, space, even time itself.

"Pfft, look at me. I look more like a hobo than a Devil King. Itsuki and the others are probably watching, right? They must be worried seeing me like this." Ren muttered to himself, grinning as he wiped blood from his temple.

"Still, these wounds are just scratches for a Campione, but they wouldn’t believe me even if I explained, would they?"

"If women could be reasonable, they wouldn’t be women in the first place. Even Itsuki-sensei, who’s usually understanding, acts like this—what else can I do but cry inside?"

Done complaining, Ren turned his gaze to the five remaining spacecraft.

"I wonder how the other Campiones are doing? Still fighting, or already chilling?" Ren chuckled, imagining the faces of his equally battle-crazed comrades. "Whatever, I’ll find out later. For now, it’s time to end the Prime War on my side!"

*WHOOSH!*

With a movement so swift it made the air roar, Ren bent his knees and leaped. His body shot into the sky, leaving a swirling trail of dust and sand behind.

His target was clear: the nearest spacecraft. Ren gripped his platinum sword tightly, muscles tensing in his arm.

"I’m tired of wrecking these from the outside. Now I want to see your faces, Kur aliens!"

His voice echoed across the vast plain.

As he reached the spacecraft’s hull, Ren swung his sword with a motion so smooth yet brimming with power.

*SWOOSH!*

Platinum light sliced through the air.

*CRAAASH!*

The spacecraft’s thick metal hull split like paper. A massive chunk of the ship’s body flew aside, revealing a glittering interior filled with glowing cables and panels.

*THUD!*

Ren landed lightly inside the ship, his feet touching the slick metal floor.

"Hmm, cool interior. What tech did you use for this? Not made in China, right?" he joked, stepping forward with his sword slung over his shoulder.

Inside, Ren was greeted by a bizarre sight.

The Kur aliens, octopus-like creatures the size of humans, scurried through the ship’s corridors. Their bodies were clad in glowing blue exosuits, their mouth-tentacles writhing as if communicating. Some wielded advanced energy weapons, their barrels aimed at Ren.

*ZZZAP!* *ZZZAP!*

Green energy beams shot toward him, hot enough to melt the surrounding metal. But Ren only grinned. With a barely visible flick of his hand, he swung his sword.

*SWOOSH!*

Platinum light cleaved the beams, shattering them into harmless energy fragments that dissipated in the air.

"You guys really don’t learn, huh? Attacks don’t work on me." Ren said, his voice dripping with mockery. "Give me a more exciting challenge!"

*SWOOSH!* *SWOOSH!* *SWOOSH!*

Ren charged forward, his sword moving like lightning. Each swing sliced through the Kur’s exosuits as if they were paper.

The aliens’ tentacles flailed in panic, some attacking with mechanical claws or firing more energy beams, but none could touch him. Ren moved like a shadow, swift and deadly, leaving a trail of destruction in his wake.

*SWOOSH!*

Dodging, Ren slashed a control panel on the wall.

*BOOM!*

Sparks and smoke erupted from the damaged machinery, and the ship began to shake violently.

Ren leaped into the main control room, where dozens of Kur scrambled at advanced consoles. In the center stood a larger Kur, likely their leader, with a shinier exosuit and longer tentacles.

"Oh, the big boss? Nice, I’m tired of beating your minions!" Ren grinned, pointing his sword at the massive Kur.

The creature raised a massive energy cannon, glowing with intense red light.

*SWISH!*

A colossal energy beam shot out, powerful enough to level a building. But Ren, with a casual motion as if strolling through a park, swung his sword.

*SWOOSH!*

Platinum light sliced through the beam, and in an instant, the cannon in the Kur’s hands split in two.

"Seriously, you make fancy weapons but not cut-proof ones? Lame!"

Ren leaped toward the giant Kur, his sword tracing a perfect arc.

*SWOOSH!*

*PU-CHI!*

With one swing, the creature’s head separated from its body, its exosuit shattering into pieces.

*RUMBLE!*

The ship began to tilt, its engines roaring uncontrollably. Ren knew it was time to go. He sprinted toward the ship’s wall, his sword slicing through thick metal like butter, creating a massive hole. The wind blasted him as he leaped out, landing on the Nullarbor Plain with a perfect roll.

*BOOM!*

The ship exploded behind him, a massive fireball lighting up the twilight sky. Metal debris rained down, some landing near Ren, but he stood calmly, sword over his shoulder.

"One down, four to go." he said, his eyes shifting to the other ships, now moving more aggressively.

"Not scared, huh? Good, I like enemies who don’t run!"

*BAM!*

Ren leaped again, this time toward the second ship. He landed on its hull, his sword immediately carving a hole to enter.

Inside, he was met by a better-prepared Kur force, accompanied by small combat drones firing laser beams. But as before, none could touch him. His platinum sword moved like a storm, slicing through drones and Kur alike.

*SWOOSH!*

Ren destroyed the main control panel with a single slash. The ship began losing altitude, its engines whining like a dying beast.

*WHOOSH!*

Moving swiftly, Ren wrecked every critical component he found. Giant cables were cut, energy reactors destroyed, and Kur who tried to stop him fell to his blade.

*BOOM!*

Within minutes, the second ship crashed into the wreckage of the first, exploding in a blast that shook the earth.

"Three to go!"

The third and fourth ships fired heavy weapons at him, energy beams and massive metal projectiles raining down on the Nullarbor Plain.

*BOOOMMM!*

The ground around Ren exploded, creating new craters in the already-ruined landscape. But Ren just laughed, dodging every attack with impossible speed.

"If that’s all you’ve got, you’re just wasting ammo!" he shouted, leaping toward the third ship.

*SWOOSH!*

This time, Ren didn’t bother entering. He swung his sword from the outside, platinum light cleaving the ship into two massive halves.

*BOOM!*

Its engines exploded midair, and Ren landed back on the ground, dodging the falling debris.

*BZZZZTTT!*

The fourth ship tried to escape, its engines roaring as it climbed toward orbit. But Ren wasn’t letting it get away. He bent his knees, gathered strength, and leaped with such force that the air around him exploded.

*WHOOSH!*

In an instant, he was in front of the ship, swinging his sword in a wide arc.

*SWOOSH!*

*BOOM!*

Platinum light split the ship from end to end, followed by a massive explosion that lit up the sky like fireworks.

Ren landed with a satisfied smile.

"One more, and I can go home to my harem."

The fifth ship, the largest of them all, hovered above him. Its weapons began to glow, and Ren felt a surge of energy far stronger than before.

This wasn’t an ordinary ship—it was likely the Kur’s main invasion headquarters.

"Oh, finally something that looks fun!" Ren grinned widely, his sword glowing brighter. "Come on, squids, give me a finale I won’t forget!"

*BAM!*

Ren leaped with full force, his body streaking like a meteor, sword aimed at the heart of the massive ship.

*CRASH!*

He smashed through the hull, creating a huge hole. Inside, he faced the largest Kur army yet, along with massive weapons he’d never seen before.

"Getting serious now, huh?" Ren chuckled, his sword already in motion. "Alright, let’s end this show with a bang!"

*SWOOSH!* *SWOOSH!* *SWOOSH!*

*BANG!* *BANG!* *BANG!*

*BOOM!* *BOOM!* *BOOM!*

The battle inside the fifth ship was pure chaos. Ren moved like a tempest, his sword cutting through everything—Kur, weapons, even the ship’s structure. Small explosions rocked the corridors, and red alarms blared everywhere. The Kur screamed in their strange language, but Ren didn’t care. To him, this was a one-sided slaughter.

Finally, he reached the ship’s main reactor, a massive pulsing energy core guarded by desperate Kur. Ren raised his sword, its platinum light shining blindingly bright.

"Goodbye, squids. Thanks for the fun!"

*SWOOSH!*

*BANG!*

One slash, and the reactor shattered. The ship shook violently, and Ren knew it was time to leave.

*BOOOOMMMM!*

He sprinted to the hole he’d made, leaping out just as the ship erupted in a colossal fireball that lit up the entire Nullarbor Plain.

Ren landed, panting but grinning with satisfaction. The landscape around him was unrecognizable—just wreckage, craters, and smoke.

"It’s finally over! Took longer than I expected."

"Now, time to check on the other Campiones."

With his sword vanishing, Ren walked away from the battlefield, leaving a sea of destruction behind.
