The alertness of Mingmei and the others was indeed necessary.

"Enemy attack!! Enemy attack—!"

Mingmei and the others were chatting idly in the channel when suddenly Mingmei felt a white light from the sky through her mech's visual sensors, momentarily blinding her.

The public channel, used for casual gossip, was usually quiet, with everyone keeping their voices low.

But suddenly, the dramatically increased volume, coupled with the white light, and the hoarse shout of a senior in the communication channel, followed by a long burst of static, instantly jolted everyone awake!

"Retreat now! Enemy attack!!"

Then, screams erupted from everywhere, stunning everyone as they looked towards the sky.

Originally, the rows of mechs and battle starships above them were now turning into patches of light and fire.

As countless fragments fell around her, Mingmei was completely unable to react.

"What are you waiting for? Move!"

The captain's voice rang out again beside Mingmei. She dazedly watched as a large number of mechs retreated.

Seeing the flames and debris surrounding the falling mechs, Mingmei unconsciously felt her cheeks get wet.

She raised a hand to her face and realized she was already in tears.

Mingmei still couldn't believe that the army above her had been turned into this, the scene of instant destruction was one of the few nightmares she had ever experienced.

A pink figure flashed past her, and Mingmei recognized it as Lu Xiaoyao's mech, Fen Dai, rushing to the front lines for rescue.

Mingmei suddenly steered her mech out of the retreating formation, flashing to a position halfway along Lu Xiaoyao's trajectory.

With a loud clang, everyone saw Mingmei intercepting a streak of silver light.

They were stunned when they took a closer look!

It was a Liu Ying (firefly) that was even larger than the ones they had seen before.

"It's that insect general! Oh my god!"

Mingmei's actions naturally attracted the attention of others around her.

They all saw Mingmei sprint and flash to a position where she blocked the Liu Ying, which was so fast that no one could see it coming!

"Retreat now!"

None of them dared to rush forward, especially since their current goal was to retreat.

As soon as Mingmei recognized the insect general, she was once again engaged in battle with it. As she fought, she realized how fast it really was.

When Mingmei heard Guigui's warning, which was even faster than the mech's own warning, she gritted her teeth and ignored it, instead facing the challenge head-on, continuing to fight the incredibly fast Liu Ying.
