Chapter 27 A Strange Turn of Events

Mingmei and Mu Chen’s fierce attack caught the Zerg completely off guard. Mingmei hadn’t expected the Zerg to be so much more numerous than they’d imagined. The area they’d broken through was quickly filled again after she and Mu Chen charged in, making their battle with the Zerg seem increasingly bizarre.

It was like two reckless little monkeys sneaking behind a pride of lions and kicking one on the butt.

“Senior Duolun?!”

Mingmei had clearly received Duolun and the others' channel signal, but she couldn’t see them anywhere around.

“We’re here, we’re here. Hold on for a bit, we’ll be right over!”

Duolun, hearing Mingmei's loud voice, stopped pretending to be deaf.

“Where are you now?”

Mingmei and Mu Chen watched as the Zerg seemed intent on surrounding them. Mingmei gritted her teeth and touched her space button; she had a pile of mental recovery potions inside.

If worst came to worst, she'd use the Zerg cores to deal with them!

Hearing Duolun's muttering, Mingmei felt a sudden pang of fear. She immediately manipulated her Jin Yi (Brocade Robe) to push Su Bo (White Silk) away from her!

“Meimei!”

Mu Chen was startled by Mingmei’s action, then a flash of white light appeared between him and Mingmei!

With a "bang!"

Mingmei's cockpit shook violently. A sharp pain shot through her left arm. Before she could cry out, Mingmei quickly maneuvered the Jin Yi (Brocade Robe), its mechanical left arm shattered by the impact, to dodge again. Sure enough, the light reappeared where she’d been a moment before.
