Chapter 3447: This is what I seek

In the blink of an eye, the black MECHA damaged the mechs just enough to leave them unable to attack him anymore, but also undamaged enough to ensure the pilots were still alive.

"Resistance more powerful than anticipated! Deploying more forces!"

A new wave of mechs emerged from the border patrol force, which had emerged from within the underground base, surging towards the black MECHA with a charging momentum, threatening to have the MECHA destroyed if it chose not to cooperate with their means and methods.

And yet, much to the shock of everyone who watched, the outcome didn’t change.

BOOOOOOOM!!!

RUMBLE!

The world shook as the black MECHA easily dispatched all the incoming mechs, while still leaving the pilots alive so that the dwarves didn’t suffer a single casualty.

The evident desire to hold back was clear in the intruder’s actions.

The machine hadn’t moved from the spot that it had emerged from, floating midair while not making a single threatening or aggressive motion, while restricting its output enough to make sure that not a single dwarf died, something that would impede peace.

The Border Patrol Force, however, had a duty to fulfill regardless of what the intentions of MECHA were. It had entered a restricted marine space and had resisted arrest while also fighting back and damaging their mechs. It only strengthened their directive to take the machine and its pilot into custody.

The number of squads of mechs deployed to capture the intruder only grew with each passing minute.

And yet, they were unable to even get close to capturing the mech.

"Requesting reinforcements!"

"We need the royal guards!"

"Please deploy the national protectors!"

The quality and power of the new incoming mechs rose with each wave.

More fancy technology with powerful substances and extraordinary power for a machine of that size, and yet in the face of the seemingly boundless might of the black MECHA, not a single one of them seemed to have the power to even put a scratch on the powerful machine.

The sheer amount of energy and power that the machine was able to output rather efficiently was extraordinary. Was it simply thanks to the miracles of esoteric matter? It had to be, given how powerful the machine was.

What they didn’t understand was how different the concept of the MECHA was from the dwarven mech platform. The MECHA of the Panama Continent and human civilization, pioneered by the Esoterist, was a platform that was designed to harness the strength of Martial Artists and machines synergistically without sacrificing one or the other.

The core of the machine was the Martial Artist.

The energy systems that did exist were for the sake of adding to the power that the Martial Artist unleashed upon the world.

While the dwarves fought only with the power of technology, the MECHA fought with the power of Martial Art and technology, leading to an extraordinary boost in effective combat power.

The MECHAs never stood a chance.

It was only an hour after getting beaten up and humiliated that they had had enough.

RUMBLE...

A wave of mechs fell back, their machines damaged despite the powerful energy shields and armor plating technology that they used to defend against the power that the black MECHA unleashed upon them.

Thousands of mechs had been pushed back by a single machine.

It was unfathomable to all of them.

The power that the machine had displayed was so great that it was enough to easily put them in the top hundred most powerful combat assets in the entire world. Perhaps even higher than that, even if it was truly absurd that the Panama Continent was able to produce warriors of this caliber. Regardless, it had become abundantly clear to everybody involved that they were not equipped to deal with such a powerful enemy.

They couldn’t use their long-range gravitational collapse siege technology, one of the most powerful siege technologies that had ever been developed, because the MECHA was too close to the coast. Any damage they inflicted on him would also be inflicted on their own land and people further inland.

It also helped that the machine proved to be truly docile in its aggression. It merely defends and incapacitates with the minimum amount of harm needed. It displayed an unfathomable amount of knowledge of exactly what needed to be done to disable their machines.

So much so that they might have thought it was a dwarven traitor to the Bournvyrne Empire if they didn’t know better. Regardless, the outcome of their attempts to capture the machine or its pilot failed miserably.

"...Stand back," the frustrated tone of a high-ranking dwarven warrior reached all of his compatriots.

"Captain, are we just going to let this bastard go?!"

"No..." The dwarven captain narrowed his eyes. "His Majesty has deployed God’s Hammer."

Suddenly, the communication channels went silent for a moment.

The name was spoken like an incantation.

The kind that one might say and expect a miracle to unfold before their very eyes.

It wasn’t too far from the truth.

RUMBLE

The world shook as the very fabric of space and time tore open.

A wormhole was opened some distance away from the black MECHA that stirred, mustering more power on standby as a profoundly heavy presence emerged from within the wormhole.

The machine was radiant, golden and silver, with a luster that made it feel like it was from a different world. The body that stepped through the hole in reality proved to be even larger than the black MECHA.

There was an indescribable quality to it that was ephemeral.

As though the very quality of its workmanship had ascended to another realm. As if a deity itself had carved the machine out of divine materia.

"This..." Ieyasu’s eyes sharpened within the black MECHA as he beheld its extraordinary build.

His pitch-black cybernetic eyes were filled with greed and desire as he grew engrossed in the extraordinary quality of the artifact before him.

"This is what I seek."
