Chapter 829: An Anomalous Entity
Ryuk’s hand grabbed firmly onto her head.
Immediately, she was dragged back out of the black hole by Ryuk, but then she suddenly felt his hold on her head release.
The second she did, it occurred to her to conjure another black hole and escape, but right then, the world fell silent.

Time seemed to fall into an absolute crawl, with her heart beating as loudly as a gong being the only sound.
The realization to run faded away, and for a moment, she forgot how to even do so.
All of this anomaly came from something, and unconsciously, she raised her gaze, and there it was:
A colossal fist blazing in purple smashing forward with a power that could blow an entire star to dust.
It was like the sun itself, coming down with a fury that could never be stopped or resisted.
‘So… so much power,’
The thought occurred to her, as the fist came closer and closer, her heartbeat ringing so loud they were all she could hear, until a voice cut through it all.
“Stop.”
It was like a divine decree as the colossal fist in the air instantly paused in its track, before its colossal form faded.
She blinked once, and she found herself back in the room, a purple-colored fist hanging just a centimeter away from her face.
Unconsciously, she looked behind the fist, to find the shimmering purple eyes that held nothing at all in them.
But she knew the horror she had seen, and it made her step back away from him.
Ryuk slowly took his fist back, rising upright and looking forward to the place where the familiar words came.
He found her now standing on her feet, her white gown sticking tight to her body, wet from the Apex essence, with golden eyes staring at him from just five meters away.
“Stay back, Morgaine. He’s very dangerous.”
The cloaked woman called out, another black hole spiraling forth from beneath her palms, and soon enough, a sheathed katana once more found its way to her hands.
But just then,

The sound of footsteps echoed out from the side as she watched Morgaine step out,
“Mor…” She called, but just a moment later, she was already before Ryuk.
Her hands reached for his cheeks, and her lips moved closer to his, but just before they met, he swerved his out of the way.
The reaction surprised her, her eyes flashing with shock as she took a step back from him.
“You refused my kiss?” She asked Ryuk, who looked into those golden eyes, and he spoke a word that shook her to the soul,
“Do you really think I’m too blind to recognize what is mine, and what isn’t?” He asked, watching her grin fade, and she asked.
“What… what do you mea…”
Her words were forcefully stopped dead in their tracks when Ryuk’s hands reached out with the speed of lightning, latching onto her throat, and in half a second, she was in the air, dangling from his hands.
“Tch, you bastard. Let her go!” the cloaked lady roared in anger, but then, once again, her body suddenly froze, paused in the stance of unsheathing her katana.
She turned forward to find two shimmering purple eyes looking in directly with hers:
“Do you feel every inch of your cell, telling you that if you moved any of your muscles, just one more inch… you’ll die?” He asked, hearing the sound of teeth grinding tighter from beneath the cloak.
He turned away from her to look at Morgaine dangling in his hands, and he asked:
“Where’s Morgaine?”
It was a question that didn’t seem to make any sense to everyone in the room, but by the sound of the question, it was like a heavenly decree that could not but be answered.
“How did you know… you’re not looking at her?”

The system panel notification blinked before Ryuk’s eyes, but even then, he could see it as clear as day.
“The eyes that look at me are not the ones I know. Yours have already lost their innocence.” He replied, watching her brows crease.
Ryuk had seen many killers in his life, and he had a susceptibility to being able to tell what type of person one was simply from looking into their eyes.
He knew Morgaine, and he doubted she had ever killed at all, as looking into her eyes gave him this feeling of lightness and freedom.
It wasn’t heavy; it looked almost unnatural, and every time, those innocent eyes captivated him.
But he also knew the other eyes.
The eyes that have taken a life.
No matter how many colors his own eyes take, Ryuk can see the deathly silence in them.
He had recognized it from Zar’kul’s green hollow eyes, and the same was true for Odette’s Purple eyes, that shifts into a darker colour of death anytime she draws her weapon.
There was nothing but death in those people’s eyes, which added even more to their deadly aura.
Morgaine’s eyes right now weren’t the innocent thing he knew.
Even if she had killed someone during this timeframe, her eyes shouldn’t have turned this deathly.
The eyes before her looked almost like those of Odette:
Eyes belonging to one who must have taken a mind-numbing amount of life.
“So, I’ll ask once more… Where’s Morgaine?” He said, watching as she looked at him quietly for a long while, trying to find a flicker of doubt from his eyes, but then,
GRRRRHHH
The sound of something like an electric shock entering a body echoed in the room, and Ryuk’s hand suddenly shot away from her neck, his fingers twitching wildly.
She landed onto her legs, but didn’t wobble at all, her hands reaching for her neck and scrubbing away the slight sting she felt.
“You know,” She said, as she stopped rubbing her neck, turning to look at him.
“The little girl did mention having a ‘man,’ and the mere thought of that made me sick for an entire week.”
“If her virginity had been taken, I would have killed her off immediately.” She said so mercilessly that the cloaked lady unconsciously took a step back.
“But… I have to say, for one who is reported to be three or so years younger, you seem quite capable for your age.”
