Chapter 1 New Beginnings

As soon as Lin En entered the wooden house, he went straight to the Misty Treasure Chest to check how many stones he still needed.

He saw that he only had a little over a hundred stones, far from enough. It seemed he had to check the [Trade] section. As Lin En was wondering what to trade, he was startled by a loud shout.

Lina had followed Lin En into the wooden house not long after he entered. Her bright eyes darted around, taking in everything with curiosity.

"Wow, what's this? A Condensation Device? Wow, is this… is this a Dream Bed?" Lina excitedly ran over to the bed. When she realized it was indeed a Dream Bed, she happily rolled around on it.

"Holy crap!"

Lin En, seeing this, couldn't let it continue. "Get off the bed! Don't get my bed dirty!"

He went straight to the bed, pulled her off, and pushed her into the bathroom. Standing at the bathroom door, Lin En looked at the bewildered Lina and said, "You better wash that weird smell off you before you come out."

*Bang*

After closing the door, Lin En went to sit on the sofa and opened the [Trade] section to buy materials.

Lina looked around the small room, curiously touching everything. "Ah!" She accidentally hit the sprinkler switch, and water sprayed all over her.

*Splish, splash*

"Wow!" Lina took a few steps back, looking at the sprinkler in amazement. "So cool!" After a moment, she finally realized, "Ah! I can finally take a good bath!"

Looking at her dirty reflection in the mirror, Lina quickly took off her clothes, revealing her snow-white skin and the emerald green hair cascading down her back.

"Wooh!" Feeling the water flowing over her body, Lina finally took out the floral essence she had made for bathing and began to wash herself slowly.

After a long negotiation, Lin En finally gathered enough stones. Now, all he needed was the energy core. "Phew, so tiring! Did they have to haggle so much?"

"Alright, time to go find an energy core in the remaining dungeons." Lin En walked outside, clicked to reclaim his homestead, then squatted down to ask the stone walls which one had a treasure chest behind it.

"Huh? (´｀;)?"

Seeing the wooden house still standing there, several question marks popped into Lin En's head. "What's going on? Why can't I reclaim it?" He clicked the reclaim button repeatedly.

After a long while, Lin En finally remembered the ditzy girl inside the wooden house.

Helpless, he walked back in to see if she was done washing. But the sight that greeted him immediately made his blood boil. Seeing Lina lying on the bed, Lin En went straight to the bedside and yanked the blanket off her.

"Holy crap!"

Lin En put the blanket down, his face certain. "It's an illusion, must be an illusion, right?"

To ask himself if it was an illusion again, Lin En pulled the blanket off again.

"H-h-holy crap! S-so white!"

Lina even turned over in her sleep, making Lin En's eyes widen. He gently put the blanket down, the image of the white tiger burned in his mind.

Looking at Lina sleeping on the bed, several thoughts immediately flashed through Lin En's mind: "So white, so pink, so soft, so… Ah, no, what am I thinking!"

"Hey, hey, wake up! What are you sleeping for so early? Hey, the sun's shining on your butt!" Speaking of butt, Lin En thought of those two white cheeks again. "Ahem, hey, Lina, get up!"

"Hmm…" Lina groggily sat up, not even noticing the blanket sliding down.

"Holy crap, so white, so pink, so soft, so smooth, so bouncy!"

"Phew, I can't take it anymore!" Lin En stood up, glared at the little white rabbits a few times, then ran outside to do a set of military exercises.

"Ha-ho, ha-ho, ha! Haa…"

Finishing his workout, Lin En looked at Lina standing at the door of the wooden house and said, "Don't worry, I'll take responsibility. You'll be my wife from now on!" He nodded firmly to emphasize his point.

"Wife? What does 'wife' mean?" Lina asked, confused.

"Uh, 'wife' is… 'wife' means we'll eat together, sleep together, do everything together. Ahh, anyway, it means we'll live together from now on!"

"Eat together? Sleep together? Live together?" Lina said blankly, "That… you can only sleep together if you're partners."

Hearing this, Lin En walked right up to Lina, cupped her small face in his hands, lowered his head, and said to her, "From now on, I'll be your partner, your husband, understand? And your husband's name is Lin En, got it?"

Seeing the somewhat dazed Lina, Lin En pulled her away from the door and reclaimed the wooden house. Looking at Lina, who still hadn't reacted, he squatted down to ask the stone walls which one had a treasure chest behind it.

Lin En: "Stone walls, which of you has a treasure chest behind you?"

East Stone Wall: "Behind me is a stone forest. No treasure chest."

South Stone Wall: "Treasure chest? Nope."

West Stone Wall: "Treasure chest? This? (Image)"

Lin En: "??? Wait, you can send images?"

North Stone Wall: "Why not?"

Bottom Stone Wall: "Exactly."

Top Stone Wall: "Image, image."

Lin En looked and saw that it was a picture of him and Lina. Lina was standing there blankly, while he was squatting.

"Whatever, I'm not paying attention to the Top Stone Wall." Lin En looked at the treasure chest image sent by the West Stone Wall. The picture showed a large golden treasure chest located in a cave.

Lin En: "West Stone Wall, is it just a treasure chest? No ferocious beasts or anything?"

West Stone Wall: "Of course there are! And it's a newly advanced ferocious beast, a fourth-tier one. You wouldn't last one claw against it."

West Stone Wall: "But, you're in luck. It just finished advancing and went to feed to replenish its energy. It won't be back for at least two or three hours."

Seeing this, Lin En didn't dare waste any time. He grabbed Lina and hurried towards the West Stone Wall.

Seeing Lin En pulling her along, Lina asked in confusion, "What's wrong? Where are we going?"

Lin En answered as he ran, "N-nothing. We're just going to the next dungeon. Let's go, hurry!"

Lina: "Ah, okay, okay okay!"

Ten minutes later, they finally arrived in front of the stone wall. Lin En took out his pickaxe, ready to start digging.

"Wow~"

Lina: "Lin En, Husband, why is your pickaxe golden?"

Lin En: "What did you just say?"

Lina: "Why is your pickaxe golden?"

Lin En: "Not that, the one before that."

Lina: "Lin En, Husband?"

Lin En: "Yes, you called me Husband."

Lina: "Husband~~"

"Mm," Lin En, satisfied, finally started digging.
