Chapter 73 Holy Dragon, Luka Jin

Chapter 15 The Golden Dragon

As the dragon's roar echoed, a massive, gold-plated dragon appeared in the sky.

Its immense body cast a shadow over the entire homestead.

Seeing the dragon still roaring arbitrarily in the sky, Lin En quickly sent his magical creatures and monster girls back into the monster space.

Once the monster girls were inside, Lin En swiftly stowed away the dragon suit. After all, what was a dragon suit to others was nothing less than a dragon-slaying suit to an actual dragon.

Not long after hiding the suit, the dragon descended from the sky, its golden eyes sweeping over Lin En and the fierce beasts.

Clutching a handful of bird eggs, Lin En trembled theatrically as he watched the dragon land. The fierce beasts, on the other hand, roared at the dragon, seemingly unafraid.

The dragon raised its proud head and boomed at Lin En and the beasts, "Insignificant insects, offer everything you have to the noble and great Holy Dragon, Luca Jin.

"This is my benevolence, allowing you to avoid death and serve me."

*Crap*, Lin En thought, the dragon's tone was arrogant. Clearly, it hadn't experienced the harsh realities of life.

Lin En continued his charade, feigning a pitiful and helpless demeanor.

The fierce beasts, however, couldn't stand it. Knowing they couldn't defeat the dragon, they resumed their infighting.

Luca Jin watched the self-destruction with interest and commented, "Oh, not bad. Only the strongest can stand beneath the dragon's feet. It seems you have a high level of awareness.

"I am deeply gratified. The final victor will receive the baptism of dragon blood."

...

While the dragon was focused on the infighting beasts, Lin En stealthily approached the thorn wall and cast an Appraisal Spell on the dragon.

Name: Luca Jin (Rank Seven)

Race: Dragon

Physique: ???

Strength: ???

Agility: ???

Spirit: ???

Skills: Dragon Might, Dragon Breath, Dragon Body, Dragon Bloodline...

{A member of the Holy Dragon clan, one of the most proud dragons.}

...

As expected, it was Rank Seven. All its attributes were question marks? It seemed he had to resort to *that* method.

But first, Lin En took out all the eggs from his backpack and used them one by one. Magical creatures, magical beasts, and even fierce beasts gradually appeared – flying ones, running ones, swimming ones, all kinds of bizarre shapes.

As the eggs in his hand dwindled, the number of figures steadily increased.

Looking at the demons and monsters before him, they might have been useful against the previous fierce beasts, but against the current dragon, they were useless. Rank Six was completely powerless against Rank Seven.

When the last egg vanished from his hand, Lin En hadn't summoned a single Rank Seven creature. It seemed he really had to use *that* method.

.....

Meanwhile, the fierce beasts had reached the final stage. After a short while, only one beast remained, frantically devouring the corpses of the others.

Luca Jin, who had watched the entire process, chuckled in satisfaction. "Hahaha, what a splendid game! I am very pleased. Now, come and receive my blessing, hahaha!"

The last beast completely ignored Luca Jin and continued to devour.

Unfazed by being ignored, Luca Jin thought, *I'm quite pleased with this little insect's performance, so I'll be a bit more patient with it*, but only a bit.

Finally, after the beast swallowed the last corpse, Luca Jin once again signaled it to come and receive the blessing.

The last surviving fierce beast was not the Giant Mantis, but the Flying Goose. This time, the Flying Goose finally reacted. It raised its head, its eyes bloodshot, and charged towards the dragon.

With greatly increased attributes, the Flying Goose quickly reached Luca Jin and began to attack frantically. However, the Flying Goose's attacks had no effect whatsoever.

Luca Jin, who had initially been somewhat satisfied with the Flying Goose, instantly revealed a fierce glint in its eyes and slammed it into the ground with a dragon claw.

With its claw pressed on the Flying Goose, Luca Jin said with utter arrogance, "I thought you could become my dragon beast, which is why I had a little patience. But you dared to touch my beautiful scales? Unforgivable!"

With a surge of power, Luca Jin crushed the Flying Goose to death. It retracted its claw, glanced at the lifeless goose, and said, "Overestimating yourself."

With the death of the last siege beast, Lin En received a system notification: The siege of fierce beasts had ended.

The moment he heard the notification, Lin En stowed away his homestead.

After mocking the Flying Goose, Luca Jin turned to look at Lin En's homestead, only to find it gone, replaced by a group of magical creatures and beasts.

The magical beasts Lin En had summoned instantly scattered, trying to escape in all directions.

Seeing the fleeing beasts, Luca Jin unleashed Dragon Might, crushing them all to the ground. Those below Rank Four were instantly flattened, beyond death.

Luca Jin looked at the group of magical beasts and creatures before him. Surely, he could find some dragon beast subordinates among them.

Luca Jin began to speak: "I am the Holy Drag..."

Some of the magical beasts, unable to withstand the Dragon Might, vanished, interrupting Luca Jin's self-introduction.

The proud dragon finally became angry and incinerated the remaining magical beasts with a blast of dragon breath. Then, it soared into the sky, searching for Lin En.

Soon, Luca Jin spotted Lin En. Its massive body plunged downwards, its huge dragon eyes fixed on Lin En.

Luca Jin: "Insignificant insect, why did you run? Wasn't it I, the great Holy Dragon Luca Jin, who saved you?"

"So, you will be my subordinate from now on. With your tiny body, I wonder if you can withstand my dragon blood?"

Without waiting for Lin En's reply, Luca Jin dripped a bit of dragon blood onto Lin En.

Then, he watched Lin En scream in agony.

Soon, Lin En couldn't withstand the pain and committed suicide.

Seeing this, Luca Jin was perplexed. That wasn't how it was supposed to happen, according to the books he had read!

Shouldn't he be able to casually encounter a group of people or beasts willing to pledge allegiance to him after he appeared? And then, after wandering around a bit, he would encounter a special person or beast who, after receiving his dragon blood, would gain great power and be utterly loyal to him?

Why was everyone either trying to attack him or run away after he appeared? And the one he finally found couldn't even endure the pain of absorbing dragon blood and committed suicide?

Something was wrong. Luca Jin's dragon face wore a bewildered expression.

No, this wasn't what he wanted. The book seller must have given him a fake book, which was why he failed.

*Damn*, to dare deceive the great Holy Dragon clan! If he didn't throw him into the Dragon Breath Valley when he got back, he wouldn't be called Luca Jin.

Hmm... unless he gave him the real book, then he'd consider just squashing him to death instead of throwing him into Dragon Breath Valley.
