Wa Yu Tang Xia
Chapter 84 Entering the Divine Hall
Lin En watched his aunt go up to the second floor, wondering what she was preparing. But if it could affect something like a god, it must be amazing.
Lin En looked at the time and realized it was still early, just noon. He couldn't just do nothing with this time.
He glanced at Xiaobai and Lilina, who were still munching on melons.
Thinking about today's gains, he decided to create the magic defense towers first and see how they worked.
Outside his Home, Lin En checked the materials for the magic defense towers. He already had some, enough to build about four. So, without further ado, he started building.
Lin En chose to build the magic defense towers in the four corners. Because of his secondary profession, what would normally take five hours would now only take four.
Watching the magic defense towers being built, he wondered what he should do now.
After thinking for a moment, he had an idea.
Lin En returned to the monster space, went to the beach, and took out the giant egg that was missing its egg. That's right, he was going fishing.
Seeing only the chain left, Lin En opened his backpack, grabbed some random items, secured them, and threw the bait into the sea, hoping for a fish to bite.
He felt a tug and immediately pulled it up. It was just a regular fish, so he threw it back and continued.
As time passed, a pile of hooked items accumulated behind Lin En. It wasn't just living things that got hooked; for example, now he had hooked a piece of white crystal.
Although he was catching a lot of things, the monster girl Xiao Na had already arranged for other monster girls to process them.
Fishing was already somewhat addictive, and the fact that Lin En could catch anything made it even more so.
Without realizing it, Lin En fished from noon until sunset.
Huh? He felt a huge pull. Lin En gripped tightly and started pulling with all his might, but to his surprise, he couldn't pull it up at all. What had he caught?
After a while, the chain calmed down. Lin En thought the thing was tired and was about to exert force to pull it up, but then...
With a *plop*, Lin En was pulled into the sea.
Looking at his empty hand, not only was the giant egg gone, but his entire weapon was gone.
Swimming ashore, Lin En muttered to himself, "What the hell was that? It was incredibly strong, and I couldn't budge it no matter what."
He realized it was already so late. His clothes were wet, and his fishing rod was gone, so he decided to go back, take a bath, and sleep, ready for the temple exploration tomorrow.
He returned to the treehouse, took a bath, ate, and went to sleep.
.....
Early the next morning, Lin En woke up and opened his eyes, ready to get up, but then...
Lin En pulled back the covers and saw Xiaobai sleeping on top of him. No wonder he had dreamed of being weighed down by something.
He carefully moved Xiaobai aside, tucked her in, and after washing up, went to the tavern.
As soon as Lin En entered the tavern, he saw his aunt Hillya waiting at the bar. He walked over and called out, "Aunt, good morning."
Hillya looked at Lin En, took out three items, placed them on the bar, and said, "These three things. The first is for storing magic books and divine books. I want you to collect all the books inside."
Lin En looked at the bracelet on the counter, nodded, and asked, "How do I use it?"
Hillya: "It's similar to using your skills. If you don't know how, just put it in your backpack, and the Dungeon System will explain it."
"The second item is for you to use when you enter, to prevent being entangled by something."
Hearing this, Lin En curiously asked, "Entangled by what? What could possibly entangle you, Aunt?"
Hillya: "Besides the Evil God, there are also fiends, although they are created by the Evil God. But after those fiends die, they release evil energy, which this is meant to prevent."
"If someone is infected by evil energy and it isn't removed in time, they will also turn into a fiend."
Lin En: "So evil energy is that powerful? It's contagious too?"
Hillya: "After all, it's related to a god. But it's not as serious as you think. A priest's purification spell can solve it, and a mage's shield can block it, but you can't do either of those."
Lin En... "Then what's the last one?"
Hillya: "If you really decide to go to the main hall where the Evil God is sealed, you must drink this potion before you enter, or you won't even be able to move."
"Oh, right, the Dungeon System can't identify this potion. Just drink it directly."
Lin En put away all the items. As expected, the potion's description was unknown.
Lin En looked at Hillya and asked with concern, "Aunt, your face looks a bit pale. Are you okay?"
Hillya: "I'm fine. It just took some energy to make this potion. You should go to the temple now, and remember to bring back every single book."
"Do you understand?"
Lin En quickly nodded and said, "I guarantee not a single one will be left behind."
Seeing that his aunt didn't reply, Lin En left the tavern and headed towards the temple.
Feeling a bit drained, Hillya muttered, "It really costs blood and strength. That kid Lin En better bring back that legendary magic array for me, or I'll be at a huge loss."
.....
Lin En left his Home and put it away, then walked towards the temple ruins.
He arrived at the place where he had chatted with the magic array yesterday, and tried to touch it. His hand was bounced back by a magical barrier.
Just as Lin En was about to ask about it, a chat window popped up.
——————————
Legendary Magic Array: "You actually came. I thought you wouldn't."
Lin En: "Yo~ You're still here. Didn't you say you were running out of energy?"
Legendary Magic Array: "It's almost gone. I just wanted to see if you would really come."
"Huh? Energy is running out. Kid, let's meet again next time."
Just as Lin En was feeling confused, a cracking sound rang out.
Lin En quickly retreated and saw cracks constantly appearing in the transparent magical barrier. The cracking sound kept ringing out, and as the cracks increased, they quickly covered the entire barrier.
Finally, with the last cracking sound, the entire magical barrier shattered like glass, and the fragments quickly disappeared.
As the magical barrier shattered, Lin En suddenly felt a chilling sensation, as if the entire temple had become darker.
But looking at the unchanged temple ruins, was it just his imagination? Or was it a change caused by the fiends starting to awaken?
Possibly, Lin En flapped his wings and quickly flew towards the location of the magic books and divine books. He didn't care about fiends or anything else; he would get the books first.
