Chapter 552
Anton and Anna arrived at the entrance of the treasure room. He then instructed Anna on how to activate the defensive array, which required her to place her hands in the center of the door, where the array was located. Once Anna activated the array, the door of the treasure room opened for her.
They both entered the treasure room, and Anna gasped at the huge number of weapons and armor placed inside.
“Are they all magic items? Did you make them?” Anna asked.
“No. They all came from Balathar Dungeon and the Corridors of Amuneta Dungeon. Most of them haven’t been identified yet. I will let Father handle all of these items. He could sell them or let his mercenary group use them.”
“Are you not using any of the items that you receive from the dungeon?”
“No. Remember the powerful items that I gave you when we were on that boat traveling to this continent? They’re basically powerful items that were made by my bloodline magic, and none of the items that came from the dungeons could even compare to them. Unfortunately, I can only manifest a few of them each year, but one thing I can guarantee is that they would be more powerful than anything I have received from the dungeon so far.”
“Are the dungeon monsters powerful?”
“Starting from the 60th floor of the Corridors of Amuneta dungeon, the monsters were truly powerful and could already strategize. If, for example, I bring you and your father with me, I wouldn’t be able to protect you, and you would probably die from the monsters’ attack immediately. I don’t even think that you can even take on the 30th
floor of the Corridors of Amuneta, which I considered an easy floor to mine gold coins.”“Hey! My teacher said that my potential is huge!” Anna complained.
“Potential is not strength! It would be better for you to concentrate on learning the knowledge to become a better wizard in your school, and if you really need some combat experience, I’m quite sure that your teacher could handle it. Just follow and obey your teacher,” Anton scolded Anna.
“I know that! It’s just that I feel like you're belittling my capabilities. I’m trying my best to increase my strength so I would be of help when the time came for us to battle the undead,” Anna said softly.
“I’m not belittling your power. I just want to make sure that you’re safe until you’re truly powerful enough to battle it out with the best of them. When you reach that level, then you can prove me wrong. I just don’t want you to underestimate the dungeon monsters on the lower floors of high-level dungeons.”
Anna rolled her eyes at his brother.
“Why would I enter high-level dungeons! As you know, battle experience is part of our curriculum, and you are correct that Teacher Munetta already had plans for that. We will be entering the beginner dungeon in a couple of months.”
“Well, since I’ve been telling you about the Corridors of Amuneta, I thought that it would give you an idea to try that dungeon,” Anton said.
“Are you stupid?! I know my abilities. I will not go galivanting somewhere I couldn’t handle. I’m not an idiot to gamble with my life!” Anna shouted at Anton.
“I’m sorry, okay. So what are you going to do later with your classmates?” Anton asked, trying to change the topic.
Anna glared at him for a few more seconds and relented.
“We’re going to tour the whole manor, but will probably spend the majority of our time in the gardens. The flowers there are truly beautiful. By the way, as an apology, you will have to sing later. I still have the enchanted recorder of your singing, and my friends wouldn’t believe me when I said that the one singing was you,” Anna said.
“Sure, but I haven’t been practicing my singing and guitar playing lately. I’ve been quite busy delving into the dungeon, watching movies, and reading books, and I think I’m a little rusty.”
Anna glared at him and wouldn’t stop until he promised that he would sing later before dinner.
“What’s inside those six chests?” Anna pointed at the chest that was placed in the middle of the treasure room.
“Those chests contain gold coins. Each one has 100,000 gold coins.”
Anna gasped and asked why he kept gold coins in the treasure room instead of keeping them in his spatial item or one of Ormunda’s many establishments' bank cards.
“Well, at first that’s what I was doing, but when I bought the manor and saw this treasure room, I felt like it needed to have chests full of coins, so that’s what I did,” Anton said straightforwardly.
Anna just rolled her eyes at him again.
After they went outside the treasure room and locked the defensive array, Mr. Jenkins informed Anton that Ms. Elianah, her sister, Laloniah, and her friends, Mierin and Selanor, had arrived to greet Anna. The butler said that the elven women were already in one of the salons that overlooked the garden, together with the Supreme Wizard Munetta and Anna’s classmates.
Anna laughed and made a comment that the elves probably had a spy in the manor for them to know immediately that she had arrived. Anton just rolled his eyes at his sister. Both of them were then led by the butler to the salon, where everyone was.
When they arrived at the Salon, Anton noticed that there was a table full of pastries and a pot of tea, and pitchers of fruit juice. He greeted the elves and immediately picked up a pastry and started eating. Then he joined everyone on the sofa.
Since Anton’s mouth was full of pastry, Anna just sighed and introduced herself to the elves. She was also the one who formally introduced her teacher and her classmates to the elves. After that, the conversation was dominated by Anna, Laloniah, and her friends, and they started talking about the Disney film, The Little Mermaid.
Anna’s classmates listened in and asked questions now and again, but because of how haphazardly the girls were talking about the movie, they only got confused. Anna then persuaded Anton that they should rewatch The Little Mermaid so that her classmates and her teacher could join in with the conversation. So they all went to the theater room to rewatch the Disney film, The Little Mermaid.
After the movie was done, thankfully, it was Anna who answered all of her teacher, and her classmates' questions about how animation worked. Anton was surprised that Anna even demonstrated the technique using one of her notebooks, and her cartoon drawing was much better than the stickman drawing that he did.
Anton was a little proud that Anna even answered the most complex questions regarding animation and how it was created without magic. She apparently knew how cameras worked and how a lot of people were involved in an animated movie’s creation, since they had been talking about movies for a very long time when they started traveling.
Anna even remembered the details of the documentary they had watched regarding the creation of animation.
After that, they all went to the dining room to eat lunch, and the conversation while they were eating was all about The Little Mermaid. Anton laughed when he heard the girls talking about finding their one true love. Elianah and Supreme Munetta were discussing the magic that the sea witch had used, even though Anton told them that the movie was fiction.
