Chapter 548

Chapter 548

Anton returned to his room after showing Ms. Noria and her minions some of the recipes from Earth by letting them watch cooking guides from the most famous streaming website. They repeatedly assured him that, given time, they would be able to master the different foods they had seen.

He couldn’t wait to taste some of them once Ms. Noria was able to cook them. Anton truly missed some of them, especially pizza and ice cream, and he couldn’t wait to let Anna have a taste of them.

Back in his room, Anton opened the window that looked out into the garden and sat on the table and chair on the balcony facing it. He immediately cast the Blizzard spell that was converted into Mana Rain, then he suddenly remembered his concern about drowning the garden in water, so he tugged on the rope that would summon either Mr. Jenkins or Ronia.

After a couple of minutes, Anton heard a knock on his door and told the butler to enter.

“I have some concerns about the garden. Can you have the head gardener come here so I can talk to him about them?” Anton told Raymond, and then the butler left.

After a few minutes, he returned with an older gentleman.

“How can I help you, My Lord?” the gardener said while bowing.

“Please call me, Anton. I’m not a noble. What’s your name?” Anton asked.

“I’m Tomas, Sir.”

“Tomas, I have a question regarding the garden. As you may have noticed, whenever I’m here, I keep casting the spell that brought the mana rain. I wondered if the flowers in the garden are being over-saturated with water?”

“At first, the other gardeners and I were concerned with that as well, but for some reason, all the plants in the garden are fine. As a matter of fact, they became healthier the more water from your spell they received,” Tomas said.

“That’s good to know. I just don’t want to destroy the flowers in the garden just because I want the smell of the flowers to intensify.”

When Raymond and Tomas left, Anton spent the rest of the afternoon idling about. He drank tea, read his web novel, watched movies, television shows, and animes while casting the Blizzard spell converted into Mana Rain once in a while, so that the smell of the flowers surrounded him. Anton was quite sure that the smell of the flowers that grew rapidly because of the mana water that came from one of his spells had some sort of auditory benefits. Like relaxing or calming the mind. If there were any others, Anton didn’t want to bother researching it.

Before the sun had set, Anton remembered that he told Raymond and Ronia that he would be creating a lot more enchanted items for the manor so he called Raymond and told the butler to inform Ronia to purchase a lot more sculpture and other art pieces that he could enchant them with his specific brand of enchantments then gave Raymond a thousand gold coins to give to Ronia.

After that, Anton returned to idling about. He felt a little guilty since he had this theory that the end of the world was coming because of the undead, but he kept idling about. He knew for a fact, though, that he was probably the only one who thought that. Maybe his father and his sister joined him in believing that crazy theory after the tragedy that happened to them. It was just hard to be very serious about it when he was inside one of the most powerful kingdoms, surrounded by the most powerful wizards.

Anton hadn’t even explored the kingdom of Ormunda yet, since he had only been to a very small part of it, which was only on the fringes of the main city. Even the vaunted Magic Academy that Anna was a part of was considered one of the weakest schools in the kingdom due to the fact that it’s located outside the center. That meant that he really had no idea of what Ormunda was truly capable of.

When the sun had set, Raymond informed him that it was time for dinner, and they all went to the dining room to eat. At the least, he wasn’t eating alone. Raymond, Ronia, Torbin, Torban, and Mary joined him at the huge table.

While they were eating, Raymond told Anton that three letters had arrived, but the butler deemed it not important because it was from Elianah’s sister and her friends. The letters were placed in his office.

Ronia informed Anton that the sculptures that he was requesting would be purchased the next day and would be placed in his office.

“Take your time. I’m not in a rush since I’ll be idling about in the manor while waiting for father to arrive.”

During the next few days, Anton was true to his promise to idle about. He would wake up in the morning and eat some delicious breakfast that Ms. Ronia had prepared. Then he would spend a few hours creating enchanted items, and Ronia and the others would store them somewhere. After he got tired of creating enchanted items, he would spend several hours reading web novels, watching movies, television shows, and anime. He hadn’t even entered the game to level up his new ladder character, thinking that he would focus on them once he returned to delving the dungeon.

Anton also created the large table mana power bank and placed it in Raymond’s office after he taught the butler and Ronia how to operate it.

In those few days, Anton received a lot of invitations from his neighbors, but he declined all of them since he didn’t want to bother learning how to behave while he was among the rich in Ormunda. He was aware, though, that his neighbors were not really all that. They were just rich merchants who were lucky enough to earn coins and purchase noble titles from Ormunda’s governing body.

The only notable families among them were those that had wizards in them, but at the very least, they should be an archmage rank or above.

Unfortunately for Anton, Laloniah and her two friends, Mierin and Selanor, learned that he was home and went almost every day to the manor to bother him. Thankfully, they would only do so for a few minutes, and after that, they would spend the rest of the time in the manor in the gardens playing among the flowers and birds.

Laloniah said to him that his garden resembled the gardens in the elven kingdom. The girls also didn’t bother him too much about watching movies, especially when he said that he would only start showing movies once his father and sister arrived.

The flower shop that one of the gardeners and his wife opened was earning a serious amount of gold coins, which made Anton a little impressed. Mr. Jenkins said that the majority of the earnings were from the three perfumers who partnered with the shop, and sixty percent of the flowers from the garden went to them.

Anton had an inkling that the perfumes made from the flowers that grew rapidly because of his Mana Rain possibly had some beneficial special effects, and he told so to Raymond so. That caused Raymond’s eyes to light up, and the butler said that he would do a little research and renegotiate with the perfumers if it was true.

After idling about for a few days, Anton started exploring the places near his manor. Torbin and Torban went with him as his bodyguards, but Raymond exasperatedly said that the three of them just looked like friends exploring the city.
