Chapter 161 I Want to Go to the Distance and Poetry With You

Stepping out of Jubao Pavilion, Lu Heng discovered several more newly opened shops.

These shops were clustered together, perhaps all enticed by Wu Chenzi. Since they had no competitive relationship, they chose to open next to each other on the same street.

Wu Chenzi had also opened a shop on this street selling pills from the Danyang Sect. Lu Heng decided not to go in this time. The pills sold here were refined by disciples of the Danyang Sect, and they couldn't possibly be as good as those personally refined by Wu Chenzi. He already had many of Wu Chenzi's personally refined pills.

Furthermore, with his spatial abilities, he had stored those pills in his newly acquired residence, and he could have as many of those pills as he wanted.

Carrying a box of pastries sold in ancient times, Lu Heng returned to the apocalypse.

Sitting in the warm living room, Lu Heng ate pastries while watching a movie playing on the projector.

"Lu Ge, I'm coming in."

A knock sounded at the door, and Lin Yu spoke from outside.

"Come in. There's no one else here, so you don't need to knock every time you enter."

Seeing Lin Yu walk into the living room, Lu Heng gestured to the pastries on the coffee table. "I just went to another world and got some pastries. Try them and see how they taste."

Picking up a piece casually, Lin Yu sat on the other sofa. "Mmm, these pastries taste good. They're not as cloyingly sweet as ours."

"Did your father and them leave?"

Lin Yu's action of eating pastries paused for a moment, then resumed as normal. "They left. I gave him a weapon that strengthens strength attributes, and he was quite happy."

"Good. Tomorrow, we'll start organizing them for further training outside. After another round, the zombies in the surrounding towns should be cleared. Remember to bring back the supplies. Don't let other teams snatch the goods after we've killed the zombies."

There was a chance some survivor teams might get lucky and follow behind their zombie-clearing teams.

"I know. Every team has dedicated personnel for collecting supplies. However, some things can't be collected entirely in one trip, as the transport capacity of vehicles is limited."

"Ah, speaking of which, I just remembered. I have storage rings here with large storage capacity, though they seem to be smaller than your ring." Lu Heng then produced a pile of storage rings from his space.

"This one is about thirty-six cubic meters, which can hold quite a lot. Give one to each team leader. Let them carry them. Anything not fixed to the ground can be put in, but living things still can't be. Remember to have them drip blood to contract them."

"We currently have four hundred teams, not including those responsible for maintaining order within the city. How many are there?" Lin Yu looked at the pile of storage rings scattered on the table and started counting.

"So many teams?" Lu Heng had no concept of the specific numbers. Seeing Lin Yu already counting, he took out another pile of storage rings from his space and stacked them in a corner of the living room.

"If these aren't enough, I'll get more. Give one to each of those management personnel as well. These need to be controlled. We're not selling them to the outside world right now. When spring comes and we organize them to search for military supplies, give a few more to those people. Those vehicles can also be stored, so we won't need to arrange drivers to bring them back."

"Lu Ge, are these things very cheap in that other world? You got so many at once." Lin Yu twitched his mouth, looking at the rings stacked by the wall.

"These things aren't cheap there either, but it's fine. Your Lu Ge has money wherever he goes. You don't need to worry about this. Brother can afford it."

"Lu Ge is amazing."

"By the way, these rings cannot store each other. That means your ring cannot store these rings either. Count your items carefully, and put the rest in your room."

"Hmm, are these things space-repellent? That's why they can't be put in?" Lin Yu picked up a ring and tried it. As Lu Heng said, these rings couldn't be put into his own ring. However, he seemed to remember something and looked up at Lu Heng.

"I know what you're thinking. My storage space is quite special, and it doesn't repel these."

"I knew Lu Ge was amazing."

After a good while of sorting, Lin Yu finally finished organizing all the rings. He counted out the rings to be distributed and put the remaining ones back into a small box, returning it to his room.

"Lu Ge, I'll distribute these now. They need to go out of the city early tomorrow morning. Don't let them be delayed in using them."

"Alright, you go ahead and be busy. Take these pastries with you, I can't eat them all."

After sending Lin Yu away, Lu Heng rewound the movie he was watching. While he was talking to Lin Yu, the movie had been playing automatically, and he had missed many parts.

There was still some time until spring. The zombies had hibernated during this winter, and Lu Heng had nothing to do staying in his room all day.

Lu Heng was no longer managing the future planning and renovation of the city. He felt he couldn't just be idle. Since he could return anytime from the other world, he thought he might as well visit the capital city of that world and find some high-level magic crystals there.

Or he could simply hunt some high-level magical beasts himself. He was currently at the eighth level of enlightenment in multiple elements. Lu Heng felt that if he brought his contracted mutated animals, he should be able to kill level nine magical beasts across levels without issue.

Perhaps he could even find some novel attribute magical beasts to contract. Having more attributes or simply strengthening his mutated animal team would be very beneficial.

With a plan in mind, Lu Heng informed Lin Yu that he intended to leave Director at Nameless City. This way, Director could quickly notify him through his thoughts, and Lu Heng could return immediately.

"Why are you leaving me here again? I'm so lonely as a cat in the room," Director said pitifully, pawing at Lu Heng's trouser leg.

"You can't fight, so bringing you is useless," Fatty Hu grumbled, glancing at Director. "Roar~~, why are you stepping on me, wife?"

"Master, Meow is useful. Take me with you. Leave Turtle at home to guard the house. It sleeps all day anyway, or you can leave Black Bear. Look, that guy has already started hibernating." Director continued to tug at Lu Heng's trouser leg, not forgetting to glare at Fatty Hu.

"You said it's hibernating, so leaving it here is also useless. How about I leave it for you too? If you're really bored, you can wake it up and talk to it?" Lu Heng tugged at his waistband.

"No, Master, don't leave me behind every time. I want to go see the distance and poetry with you."

Lu Heng: "I'll leave Turtle for you too."

"Lu Ge, why don't you take them all? The zombies aren't very active in this cold weather. They are contracted with you after all, and they probably want to be with you." Lin Yu said apologetically, looking at Director who was reluctant to part.

"Yes, Master, I will miss you." Director tugged at Lu Heng's trouser leg again.
