Chapter 216 Demonic Transformation

“You die!”

Dong Liang roared, pulling a jade pendant from his pocket.

He bit his finger, and blood dripped onto the jade.

The moment the blood touched the jade, it turned bright red, and a surge of Yin energy flowed into Dong Liang.

Dong Liang’s body began to swell.

*Boom.*

The room was filled with Yin energy.

The table in the room trembled, and everything on it fell.

“General Black Tiger, retreat!”

General Black Tiger leaped back to Zhao Yan’s side.

“I will make you die!”

Dong Liang punched the stairwell, causing debris to fall and block the exit.

His blood-red eyes swept over Zhao Yan and her companions.

Yin energy continued to pour into his body. The bones in his hands protruded outwards, forming a pair of sharp bone claws.

The flesh on half of his face began to decay, and his facial bones became prominent.

Assaulted by the Yin energy within him, Dong Liang charged forward recklessly.

Lan Jing quickly dodged with Captain Liu. Dong Liang’s body slammed into the wall, sending a cloud of dust flying.

“Roar!”

A beast-like roar erupted from Dong Liang’s mouth.

“Miss Zhao, how did Dong Liang turn into this?” Lan Jing asked, astonished.

Zhao Yan replied, “He has demonized.”

“But he can’t control this power.”

“Old man, protect them. Make sure they don’t get harmed by the demonic energy,” Zhao Yan instructed.

“Rest assured, I’m here,” the old man replied with a soft hum.

A talisman emitted golden arcs of electricity. With a crackle, it shot forward and quickly stuck to Dong Liang’s forehead.

As soon as the talisman touched Dong Liang’s forehead, it was instantly repelled by a surge of Yin energy.

Roaring madly, Dong Liang lunged with a punch.

*Bang.*

His fist hit the wall, which, like fragile paper, was instantly dented by the blow.

With a *snap*, an empty sound of impact echoed.

A dark shadow swept down. Zhao Yan dodged to the side.

The stool next to her was struck and instantly split in two.

Zhao Yan saw clearly that Dong Liang had grown a bone tail behind him.

Zhao Yan knew from his eyes that Dong Liang had completely lost his sanity.

Looking at his waist, Zhao Yan suddenly understood. She took out a peach wood sword from her bag.

Gripping the peach wood sword tightly, she thrust it downwards.

Before Dong Liang could react, his clothes below his waist had already been pierced by the sword.

“Too weak.”

Zhao Yan’s sword did not strike Dong Liang, but the jade pendant he carried.

The sword shattered the jade pendant, and the Yin energy it emitted instantly vanished.

Dong Liang, who had been demonizing, collapsed to the ground with a thud.

Zhao Yan squatted down and picked up the broken pieces of the jade pendant, examining them in her palm.

“The Yin energy in the jade pendant was sufficient, but he was too weak. He couldn’t even unleash a tenth of the pendant’s Yin energy,” Zhao Yan stated.

After saying this, Zhao Yan turned and walked over.

Lan Jing and the others immediately apprehended Dong Liang.

“Dong Liang is too weak. Why would the demon fancy him?” Zhao Yan handed the jade pendant to the old man.

The old man took the jade pendant and held it above his head, observing it for a long time.

“From beginning to end, the demon only treated him as a disposable pawn.”

“However, the energy within this jade pendant is quite strong. Someone like Dong Liang, when using it, could exert such power with a single punch. For someone else, it would likely be even stronger.”

Zhao Yan hummed in agreement and said to Lan Jing, “Arrest him.”

She then turned and searched the basement for a while.

General Black Tiger ran to her side and sniffed the ground intently.

Zhao Yan used her peach wood sword to dig into the ground, and soon unearthed a box.

Upon opening the box, she discovered it filled with many stone statues.

These stone statues were peculiar, each with six eyes. She examined them closely under her flashlight, noticing that inside the statues, black worms seemed to be wriggling.

When she broke open a statue, the worms, once exposed to the air, instantly turned into mist.

Inside the statues were many sticky worm eggs.

Zhao Yan handed all the stone statues to the old man for examination.

Upon seeing the stone statues, the old man proceeded to smash them.

After the statues were broken, they revealed worm eggs within.

“The souls of evil spirits were attached to these stone statues. Now, there are no evil spirits within these statues.”

“These stone statues were once inhabited by evil spirits, but after the demonic energy covered them for too long, demonic eggs began to grow inside.”

With that, the old man quickly walked out.

The old man carried the stone statues, now in several pieces, and Zhao Yan followed closely.

“Wait a moment!” The old man stopped beside Lan Jing’s car and gently knocked on the window.

Lan Jing rolled down the window and asked, “What is it, Mr. Li?”

The old man looked at Dong Liang, grabbed his collar, and asked, “Where did you put the stone statues?”

“The demonic souls and demonic energy within the stone statues have begun to recover. If a man holds them, he might become food for the evil spirits. If a woman holds them, she is very likely to be used by the evil spirits as a vessel to nurture these strange demonic eggs.”

“Demonic eggs? Impossible! Lady Lingji promised me she wouldn’t do anything to her, and would even protect her,” Dong Liang exclaimed, shaking his head.

“I have nothing left. As long as I can live without worry in this life, I will pay any price.”

“Don’t try to deceive me. I won’t fall for your tricks,” Dong Liang gritted out.

Zhao Yan shook her head helplessly. Looking at Dong Liang’s state, she could only think of Qian Ling as the one who could have caused this.

With that thought, Zhao Yan picked up the worm eggs and pried open Dong Liang’s mouth.

“What are you doing!”

Zhao Yan said coldly, “You don’t believe me? Fine, eat these things. Then you’ll understand what will happen.”

“Get away!” Dong Liang shook his head desperately, trying to knock Zhao Yan’s hand away.

As the worm eggs were forced into Dong Liang’s mouth,

Zhao Yan didn’t give him a chance to spit them out, forcing him to swallow them.

Lan Jing watched Zhao Yan’s actions and then Dong Liang’s expression as he clutched his throat.

After a few minutes, Zhao Yan noticed that Dong Liang’s stomach had visibly distended.

“Ah!”

Dong Liang screamed in pain, clutching his stomach and rolling around in the car.

The pain was so intense that he couldn’t bear it, and he slammed his head against the seat.

“Do you really think that evil spirit will let her go? The longer she stays with the evil spirit, the more dangerous it will be.”

Saying this, Zhao Yan placed a talisman on Dong Liang’s stomach.

The Yang energy from the talisman dispersed, and Dong Liang’s distended stomach deflated.

Dong Liang was covered in a cold sweat from the pain, his expression towards Zhao Yan filled with terror.
