Chapter 170 The Plan Begins

Ye Ningze watched Wu Qingfeng’s retreating back, knowing the plan was proceeding as meticulously as intended.

The Wu and Feng families would clash, like a snipe and a clam, while he, the fisherman, would reap the greatest benefits and achieve the most significant development.

This included Liu Qichao, Li Mingbo, and the others they had recruited and brought under their wing.

Once these individuals matured, they would become a formidable force. Moreover, if Ye Ningze aimed to establish a new order, he could not afford to get too entangled with the old guard.

Through this recent incident, Ye Ningze had seen the entirety of the Sun Base for what it truly was: a jungle governed by the law of the jungle.

Here, the strong preyed on the weak without respite, and to survive in this world, one needed sufficient strength. And sufficient strength, at times, came not just from individuals but from the collective.

This was why Ye Ningze wished to see these individuals develop the real combat power to resist the major families.

They possessed limited resources, and their cultivation was exceedingly difficult. More often than not, they served as cannon fodder on the battlefield, perhaps even risking their lives for meager gains. It was an inherently unfair situation for them.

Ye Ningze’s goal was to shatter this unfairness, to grant these individuals more cultivation resources and a fairer cultivation environment. Where there was oppression, there would be resistance, and where there was resistance, there was a need for leadership.

Ye Ningze had long seen through it all; all that was needed was the opportune moment to rally them and unite them firmly under his banner.

This was precisely why individuals like Liu Qichao were helping Ye Ningze bring more people into his camp.

It had to be said that while these individuals like Liu Qichao lacked formidable combat power, their grasp of the current situation was remarkably accurate.

Furthermore, Liu Qichao’s people possessed considerable intelligence; they knew what they should and should not do.

They understood even more clearly what needed to be done at this very moment. Liu Qichao, along with those he had recruited, did not immediately appear by Ye Ningze’s side but quietly awaited the Feng family’s move.

Ye Ningze was confident that the moment the Violet Lightning Rat appeared on his shoulder, the Feng family would lose their patience and immediately seek to eliminate him.

This was because they could be certain of one thing: it was none other than himself who had stolen the vital energy ore.

Ye Ningze’s method was simple: to enrage Feng Tianyi and provoke him into launching relentless attacks.

Only by doing so could opportunities be created for others. And when they discovered the true threat, they would abandon their current pursuits and turn their attention to those who posed a genuine danger to them.

However, this was the very moment Ye Ningze intended to strike. He would utilize the forces he had recruited and the strength he currently commanded to deliver a harsh lesson to the enemy, making them realize they had provoked someone they shouldn't have.

Ultimately, all of the Feng family’s resources would be seized. As for the Feng family members themselves, others would deal with them; Ye Ningze had no need to worry about that.

“Are you certain he has a mouse-like demonic beast with him?”

Feng Tianyi asked a member of his family standing beside him.

The person before him nodded without hesitation:

“Not only does he have a demonic beast, but it’s not just any mouse. This mouse is incredibly fast, even faster than us.”

Upon hearing this, Feng Tianyi was almost certain that it was Ye Ningze who had stolen his vital energy ore.

The damned fellow had been so shameless as to pilfer the vital energy ore while they were engaged in battle.

These vital energy ores were incredibly precious, even holding significant value for him personally.

Yet, who could have imagined that Ye Ningze would so easily steal them? How could Feng Tianyi accept such an outcome?

Therefore, only by eliminating Ye Ningze could Feng Tianyi quell his hatred.

To be safe, Feng Tianyi had brought a considerable number of people. He knew Ye Ningze’s strength was formidable, and he also had the protection of the Su family.

Thus, to eliminate Ye Ningze, he had to bring more men to be prepared for any eventuality.

Feng Tianyi suddenly said to the person beside him:

“A few of you, go and surround them from the rear. Make sure they have no chance to escape. We must capture them in one fell swoop.”

These individuals immediately nodded and vanished from Feng Tianyi’s sight.

Feng Tianyi, however, remained still, standing in place. Once the encirclement was complete, he would strike immediately, like lightning.

At that moment, Ye Ningze and his group would have nowhere to run and no way to escape.

Feng Tianyi sneered inwardly, “Ye Ningze, you have your troubles too. Once I capture you, I will make you suffer unimaginable pain and regret why you ever opposed us.”

Time ticked by, and their encirclement tightened. Ye Ningze’s men seemed utterly unaware of the approaching encirclement, continuing with their own affairs.

After a few minutes, Feng Tianyi, leading his men, charged towards Ye Ningze’s group with incredible speed.

They reached Ye Ningze and his men almost instantaneously, and before Ye Ningze’s people could react,

the enemy launched their assault. Their fierce attacks, repeated time and again, caught Ye Ningze completely off guard.

Feng Tianyi, with a smug expression, approached Ye Ningze and declared in an extremely arrogant tone:

“You fellow, haven’t you always had good luck? Don’t you have the Su family’s protection? This time, let’s see how you overcome this difficulty. If I capture you this time, I will show you what it means to wish you were dead.”

Ye Ningze paid no mind to the man, simply smiling calmly and saying:

“You idiot, haven’t you noticed anything amiss yet? By the time you realize it, it will likely be too late.”

Upon hearing Ye Ningze’s words, Feng Tianyi fell into deep contemplation.

He refused to believe that Ye Ningze was the type to bluff; this could only mean he truly had a plan. As for what that plan entailed, he had no idea.

However, he was certain that Ye Ningze’s plan would be anything but good for him.
