Chapter 460 My Family Status Was Lowered

"You're going to keep it? That's wonderful," the female shop owner said, her face lighting up with surprise.

"You're that happy? If you're keeping it, then we won't be buying any pets from you," Qin Tian said, looking at her with some astonishment.

"That's alright," the female shop owner waved her hand, smiling. "I'd rather earn less money if it means this little one can find a good home. I really can't take it in myself."

Qin Tian and Xia Nuannuan exchanged smiles at her words, filled with genuine admiration for the kind-hearted shop owner.

"By the way, what kind of dog is it?" Xia Nuannuan asked curiously.

"It's a mutt. It's female, and looks more like its mother. I suspect its mother might have been a Border Collie," the female shop owner replied with a smile.

"How old is it?" Qin Tian asked next.

"I'm not entirely sure of its exact age, but judging by its size, it's probably about three or four months old," the female shop owner continued.

"It's still a baby then!" Xia Nuannuan exclaimed.

"Yes," the female shop owner nodded.

"Brother, let's keep it!" Xia Nuannuan said to Qin Tian, her voice firm.

"Alright!" Qin Tian agreed with a smile.

"Boss, can we give it a bath here?" Xia Nuannuan asked excitedly.

"Of course. I can teach you how to take care of it while we're at it," the female shop owner said with a smile.

"Mhm!" Xia Nuannuan nodded vigorously, like a pecking chick.

Soon, the little gray dog finished its food and let out a bark at the female shop owner, then made as if to leave.

"Don't go, you have a home now!" The female shop owner quickly stepped forward and picked it up with practiced ease.

"Woof woof!" The little gray dog didn't struggle, but tilted its head, looking at the female shop owner blankly and barking.

"Silly thing!" The female shop owner gently patted its head and looked at Xia Nuannuan. "Let's go to the back to give it a bath."

"Okay!" Xia Nuannuan nodded joyfully.

Afterward, the female shop owner taught Xia Nuannuan while washing the little gray dog until it was spotlessly clean, then drying it with a hairdryer. The little gray dog was surprisingly cooperative throughout the process, seeming to enjoy being clean.

After its bath and drying, the little gray dog's appearance improved significantly. While not as adorable as the Chow Chow or the shop owner's poodle, its well-behaved nature was enough to melt the hearts of most girls.

"Brother, look how good it is!" Xia Nuannuan happily hugged the little gray dog, showing it off to Qin Tian, completely smitten.

Qin Tian smiled and stroked the dog's head, then turned to the female shop owner. "Does it still need vaccinations?"

"Yes. I can't administer vaccines here, but I can introduce you to a friend who runs a pet hospital. You can head straight there." The female shop owner smiled.

"Okay, then could you also help us get a set of dog supplies?"

"Sure, no problem."

Before long, the female shop owner had gathered all the necessary supplies for raising a dog: a small bed, a potty training pad, bowls, dog toys, dog food, and chew sticks. She didn't recommend the expensive items, only the ones with the best cost-effectiveness.

Qin Tian loaded everything into the car's trunk, and then the two of them, along with the dog, prepared to head to the pet hospital recommended by the female shop owner. Xia Nuannuan had already exchanged contact information with her.

"If anything comes up, feel free to message me anytime," the female shop owner said to Xia Nuannuan with a bright smile.

"Okay!" Xia Nuannuan hugged the little gray dog, nodding with a sweet smile.

"We'll be going now, bye-bye!"

"Goodbye!" The female shop owner waved goodbye with a smile and reached out to pet the little gray dog. "Little one, remember to be good in your new home!"

"Woof!" The little gray dog barked, as if bidding farewell to the kind person who had helped it.

...

...

Upon arriving at the pet hospital recommended by the female shop owner, they got the little gray dog its first vaccination. Afterward, they drove back home.

"We're home!" Xia Nuannuan exclaimed happily as she entered the house and placed the little gray dog on the floor. The dog stood still, its big dark eyes curiously taking in its surroundings.

"You play with it. I'll go put the things away."

"Mhm, should we give it a name?"

"You think about it!"

"Mhm, what should its name be!" Xia Nuannuan furrowed her brow, thinking seriously.

Qin Tian carried the pile of items to the balcony and arranged them according to the shop owner's instructions. In the living room, Xia Nuannuan sat on the sofa, gently stroking the little gray dog.

"Have you thought of one yet?" Qin Tian walked over, asking with a smile.

"No, come help me think!" Xia Nuannuan beckoned him over.

"Okay!" Qin Tian sat down beside her with a smile and picked up the little gray dog. "How about Huihui?"

"That doesn't sound good. She's a girl! Don't be so casual about it, think properly!"

"Alright!" Qin Tian shrugged helplessly, put the dog down, and raised his right hand, motioning downwards. "Sit!" The little gray dog looked at him, confused. "Spin around." Qin Tian made a circling motion. The little gray dog remained still, lifting its front paw to touch its nose.

"Pfft!" Xia Nuannuan couldn't help but burst out laughing. "How could it understand so easily!" "You made me look silly, you're so clumsy. How about calling you Benben?" Qin Tian cupped the dog's head in his hands and gently rubbed it.

"It's still young, you're the clumsy one! Don't go naming it randomly!" Xia Nuannuan snatched the little gray dog back, giving him a playful shove.

"I feel like my domestic status has dropped. Oh no, I regret it," Qin Tian said with mock seriousness.

"What nonsense are you talking about?" Xia Nuannuan rolled her eyes, unable to contain her laughter.

After spending some time playing with the dog at home, they still hadn't decided on a name. They weren't in a hurry and decided to go out to the supermarket to buy some ingredients for dinner. The little gray dog had already become attached to Xia Nuannuan. Seeing them about to leave, it followed them to the entrance.

"Woof woof!"

"We're going out to buy something. Can you guard the house?" Xia Nuannuan said to the little gray dog with a smile while changing her shoes.

"Woof!" The little gray dog barked again.

When Qin Tian opened the door, they both walked out. They noticed the dog hadn't followed, but was still standing there, its dark eyes looking at them, appearing a little pitiful.

"Brother, maybe we should bring it?" Xia Nuannuan felt a pang of reluctance.

"I don't think so. We'll be back soon. If we take it and leave it in the car, it's better to leave it at home."

"That's true, okay!" Xia Nuannuan nodded and looked at the little gray dog. "Be good, Mommy will be back soon."

Qin Tian was taken aback for a moment, then chuckled. "Guard the house well, and when Daddy comes back, I'll give you something tasty." Xia Nuannuan's face flushed, and she playfully elbowed him. Qin Tian grinned and gently closed the door.
