Jiangda University had tens of thousands of students, with a myriad of school clubs.
The club recruitment performances lasted for several days every year.
Today's performances in front of the library naturally didn't include all the clubs, but the variety was quite substantial.
In addition to clubs focused on trendy interests like skateboarding and street dance, there were also cultural and artistic ones such as literature, calligraphy, and Go. Some clubs were also involved in very meaningful volunteer activities.
Some clubs were putting on brilliant performances, attracting quite a crowd of freshmen. Others simply had members sitting there to recruit new members.
Xia Nuannuan was in high spirits, linking arms with Qin Tian, looking around and trying out several club activities.
In the lively and cheerful atmosphere, time flew by quickly.
Before they knew it, it was time for dinner.
As the afternoon classes ended, more freshmen, passing by the library, came to join the excitement out of curiosity.
On the lawn not far away, beautiful senior students from the dance club were performing hot dances. Freshmen surrounded them in circles, and the excited cheers of the boys could be heard from time to time.
"Shall we go take a look?"
Xia Nuannuan glanced at Qin Tian beside her and suggested with a smile.
Qin Tian smiled faintly and calmly shook his head, "Let's skip it. With so many people, we don't need to join the crowd."
"Really not going? Beautiful senior girls dancing!"
Xia Nuannuan smiled meaningfully and said, "Don't worry, I won't be jealous. You've been with me for so long. Before Ning Ruo's tennis club starts, you can go see it if you want."
"No need to be polite, I'm genuinely not interested!"
Qin Tian said with a wry smile.
"Fine, then it's your own choice not to go. Don't regret it!"
"No regrets."
"Don't boys like to watch pretty girls dance?"
Xia Nuannuan looked at him with a hint of suspicion.
"Like is like."
Qin Tian nodded with a smile, then changed the subject, "But you know, with you as my girlfriend, what are they compared to? How about... you dance for me? I'd definitely enjoy watching that."
As he said this, he raised his eyebrows playfully.
Xia Nuannuan's face instantly flushed red, and she gave him a glare, "I don't know how to dance!"
"It's okay, just wiggle a bit, I'll like it too."
Qin Tian grinned.
Xia Nuannuan's face turned even redder, and she reached out to pinch the soft flesh on his waist, threatening, "Like this?"
"My mistake!"
Qin Tian immediately admitted his fault.
Xia Nuannuan snorted dismissively, released her grip on his waist, and affectionately hugged his arm.
"Then let's go, let's see some more."
"Yeah! Aren't you hungry? Do you want to eat first?"
Qin Tian felt the pressure on his arm and smiled contentedly and happily.
Compared to those dancing girls, his own girlfriend was much better looking.
"I'm fine, are you hungry?"
Xia Nuannuan asked, tilting her head up.
"Then let's go eat later, I'm not that hungry either."
"Mhm!"
Just then, angry shouts of an argument could be heard.
The two looked in the direction of the sound and saw that something seemed to have happened in the area where a club they had just watched was performing. Freshmen were surrounding the scene and discussing it.
"Is that... the martial arts club we just watched?"
Xia Nuannuan asked in surprise.
Qin Tian nodded slightly.
The activities of this club mainly involved learning traditional Chinese martial arts for physical fitness.
They had already watched it. Some members were performing boxing routines.
They were performing a very basic set of "Wubu Quan" (Five Step Fist), which was quite watchable. However, in terms of actual combat effectiveness, it might not be as useful as a brick.
Xia Nuannuan naturally had no interest in martial arts. As for Qin Tian, who already possessed comprehensive fighting skills awarded by a system, he would naturally not join any martial arts club.
Therefore, they had only watched for a while before leaving.
"They seem to be arguing, did something happen? I can't see!"
Xia Nuannuan said with some concern.
There were too many freshmen gathered around, blocking their view, so they couldn't see exactly what was happening.
Qin Tian was much taller than her, so his vision was naturally better. Moreover, his perfect physical condition also gave him excellent eyesight, allowing him to see some of the situation clearly.
It seemed that a few boys in taekwondo uniforms were arguing with the members of the martial arts club about something.
"Let's go take a look!"
Qin Tian said.
"Okay!"
Xia Nuannuan looked up at him and nodded in agreement.
As they got closer, they could see more clearly.
The leading boy among those in taekwondo uniforms had a black belt tied around his waist and a trendy Korean hairstyle. His somewhat handsome face showed obvious disdain.
The surrounding freshmen were discussing animatedly, and some of their voices reached Qin Tian and Xia Nuannuan, providing them with useful information.
Jiangda University also had quite a few international students, including some exchange students from various countries each year.
The young man being surrounded was the president of the school's taekwondo club, likely an international student or exchange student from Korea.
It was unclear what dispute had occurred between the two clubs, or if the other party was intentionally causing trouble. Both sides were confronting each other, the atmosphere was gradually becoming tense, and they were about to resort to violence if words failed.
After Qin Tian led Xia Nuannuan closer, he reached out and patted the shoulder of a boy in front of him.
"Brother, what happened?"
"What is it!"
The boy seemed to be holding back his anger and turned to lash out. Upon seeing Qin Tian, he was slightly stunned.
"It's you..."
"Sorry, what's going on inside?"
Qin Tian asked again out of curiosity.
"That's an exchange student from Korea. He said the martial arts club people stole their spot. It's obviously him intentionally looking for trouble, and he looks down on our traditional martial arts. It's infuriating."
The boy replied with a grim expression.
"And those few guys next to him sucking up to him, back in the day, they would definitely be considered traitors!"
Another boy next to him also said with a face full of indignation.
"I see!"
Qin Tian nodded in realization, his brow furrowing slightly as he looked at the situation inside.
Inside, the members of the two clubs were arguing more and more fiercely.
"Your so-called boxing techniques are just fancy poses. If you have the guts, send someone to spar with our president!"
"That's right, whoever loses gets out and gives up this good spot."
"Why should we give it to you? We were here first and occupied the spot."
"What fancy poses? Our president isn't here right now, otherwise, you'd be in trouble. What kind of crap taekwondo is that? He's a Korean, fine, but are you guys who are blowing him up out of your minds?"
"You idiots, did you read history? Why are you praising this Korean so much?"
...
The faces of the boys from the taekwondo club turned red and then pale from the scolding.
However, since they had come along, they had evidently prepared themselves psychologically.
"Stop the nonsense, don't change the subject, this is about the two clubs."
"Exactly, stop the moralizing about history. Just tell us if anyone dares to spar."
"If you're scared, you can all come at once. Our president can take on several of you."
...
