Xiao Zhou was sleepwalking.

Chapter 19 The Young Man Like a Fierce Tiger

“Brother Biao, over there, it’s that scumbag.”

Suddenly, an angry female voice called out.

Qin Tian and Xia Nuannuan’s expressions changed upon hearing the familiar voice.

They looked over and saw Jin Lili and a group of youths glaring at them from a nearby intersection.

Leading them was a burly young man, around twenty-four or twenty-five years old, with sharp eyes and a resolute, cold demeanor.

Jin Lili stood beside him, her right index finger pointing at them. Her face, still slightly swollen from being slapped, was contorted with rage.

Behind them were seven or eight other youths, almost all around twenty years old.

Their fashion style was very unconventional, and they had various tattoos on their exposed skin, making it obvious they weren’t decent people.

Passersby saw them and scurried away as if from a plague, their eyes filled with disgust and fear.

“Qin Tian, you should go quickly.”

Xia Nuannuan suddenly stepped forward, using her slightly plump body to shield Qin Tian. Her voice trembled slightly. “I’m a girl, they won’t dare to lay a hand on me. You go first.”

Qin Tian was taken aback, feeling his heart fill with warmth and happiness.

He had dated a few girls in his past life, but he was sure none of them could do what Xia Nuannuan was doing.

“Silly girl.”

Qin Tian smiled happily, reached out, grabbed her shoulder, and pulled her behind him.

“I’m a man, how can I hide behind a woman!”

“Qin Tian, now is not the time for this!”

Xia Nuannuan was completely panicked. She grabbed his arm tightly, her face filled with distress. “Don’t fight them, there are too many of them.”

“Trust me, okay?”

Qin Tian smiled slightly, gently pried her hand away, and walked towards the group.

“Qin Tian…”

Xia Nuannuan’s eyes turned red with anxiety.

She stamped her foot, fumbled in her pocket for her phone to call the emergency number, but to her dismay, it was dead.

“What to do, what to do…”

She looked around anxiously.

There weren’t many pedestrians nearby, and those present were keeping their distance, clearly wanting to avoid any involvement.

“Can anyone lend me a phone, please?”

She called out loudly for help.

A few passersby who heard her glanced at her, their faces hesitant.

“Who dares to lend it, try me. What are you looking at? Get lost!”

A young man behind Jin Lili and Zhou Biao yelled furiously at the passersby.

The onlookers flinched, then immediately scattered like startled birds.

Seeing this, Xia Nuannuan’s face turned ashen. She clenched her fists tightly.

Qin Tian turned his head and grinned at her, “Nuannuan, just stay put. Don’t worry, I’m very strong.”

His perfectly white teeth flashed blindingly in the sunlight, momentarily stunning Xia Nuannuan.

When she came to her senses, she was shocked to see Qin Tian actually charging towards the group.

His speed increased, and his momentum built up as he ran, like a fierce tiger descending a mountain.

“Holy crap! Is he crazy?”

One of the youths exclaimed in disbelief, cursing.

“Be careful, this kid is acting strange.”

Zhou Biao, standing beside Jin Lili, stared intently at the charging youth and warned them with a grave expression.

Compared to the others, he was the most experienced.

He had felt this kind of aura from a formidable individual in Jiang City before.

It was the confidant of a big shot in Jiang City, someone with incredibly formidable skills.

He had personally witnessed that formidable man take down over a dozen strong men in less than a minute, with some even dying on the spot.

Jin Lili was also stunned by Zhou Biao’s words.

“Damn it, he’s just a kid, what’s with the act? I’ll deal with him!”

A youth with a buzz cut spat and stepped forward, clenching his fist.

“Mao Qiang, come back!”

Zhou Biao shouted urgently.

But it was too late.

To the shock of several people, the youth’s figure stopped abruptly in front of Mao Qiang.

In a flash, the youth dodged Mao Qiang’s incoming punch by tilting his head like a nimble antelope, and then, with a powerful elbow strike, slammed into Mao Qiang’s chest.

“Bang!”

A dull thud, like a log hitting a bell, echoed, followed by the crisp sound of bones breaking.

“Pfft—”

Mao Qiang spat out a mouthful of blood and flew backward like a sack of rags.

Zhou Biao spread his arms to catch the flying Mao Qiang, staggering back a couple of steps.

“Brother Biao!!!”

The other youths cried out in alarm.

“Cough… I’m fine, this guy is tough. Attack him together, don’t underestimate him!”

After a couple of coughs, Zhou Biao shouted with a solemn expression.

The youths exchanged glances, their flippant demeanor vanishing instantly. They looked at Qin Tian with vigilance, as if facing a formidable enemy.

“Come on!”

A brilliant, innocent smile spread across Qin Tian’s handsome face as he beckoned them over.

Not far behind him, Xia Nuannuan’s large eyes were wide open, her mouth hanging agape, her jaw almost hitting the ground.

“Damn it, how dare he look down on us! Attack him together!”

One of them yelled furiously.

The other youths echoed in unison, shouting curses to bolster their courage as they charged at Qin Tian.

Fists, side kicks, chops…

Qin Tian unleashed moves from various martial arts styles with powerful, sweeping motions.

Accompanied by screams and the sound of flesh meeting bone, in the blink of an eye, the youths were sprawled on the ground, temporarily incapacitated.

Jin Lili was completely stunned, her mind blank, her expression as if she had seen a ghost.

After placing Mao Qiang on the ground, Zhou Biao slowly stood up, his eyes fixed on Qin Tian with a sharp gaze.

“What style are you using?”

He asked in a deep voice.

“Mixed martial arts!”

Qin Tian replied with a smile.

Zhou Biao was slightly taken aback; he hadn't heard of that.

“Come on, it’s just you left.”

Qin Tian twisted his neck, making cracking sounds.

“Zhou Biao!”

Zhou Biao unexpectedly announced his name, and seeing Qin Tian’s confused look, he added, “That’s my name.”

Qin Tian nodded in understanding, smiling, “Qin Tian!”

“I can guess that Lili offended you, but my woman was hurt, so I have to seek justice for her.”

Zhou Biao continued as he walked towards Qin Tian.

“Understood!”

Qin Tian smiled.

This man wasn't inherently bad, it was just unfortunate that the woman he chose was a troublemaker.

“Hoo!!!”

Zhou Biao suddenly let out a loud shout and in an instant, he was in front of Qin Tian. He raised his right leg above his head and brought it down like a battle axe towards Qin Tian.

The moment his opponent lifted his leg, Qin Tian had already identified it as a Taekwondo move.

With his reaction speed, he could easily dodge it.

But he didn’t dodge. Instead, he crossed his arms above his head and took the blow head-on.

“Bang!”

A loud sound echoed.

Qin Tian’s body, with its lowered center of gravity, was like a solid rock, unmoving.

Conversely, Zhou Biao was pushed back several steps by the immense counterforce.

“My turn.”

Qin Tian murmured and swiftly closed the distance, his attacks raining down on Zhou Biao like a thunderous storm.

Zhou Biao scrambled to defend and evade, but the skill gap was too vast.

After a few exchanges, Qin Tian landed a straight punch to his abdomen.

Zhou Biao grunted, his eyes bulging as if about to pop out. He clutched his stomach and fell to the ground.

“Control your woman from now on. You’re no man if you can’t even keep your own woman in check.”

Qin Tian said to Zhou Biao, who was curled up on the ground. He then glanced at the terrified Jin Lili, gave a playful smirk, and turned to walk towards Xia Nuannuan.

“Nuannuan, it’s done. Let’s go, I’ll take you home!”

“En!”

Xia Nuannuan responded with a beaming smile.

Her clear, bright eyes seemed to sparkle with countless tiny stars.
