Chapter 64 - 62: Minotaur Tribe

Chapter 64: Chapter 62: Minotaur Tribe

Saru was a very ordinary Minotaur, living in an ordinary Minotaur small tribe, composed entirely of Minotaurs with a population of around two hundred.

Although the Minotaur in the Beastman tribes of the Seta Continent are not at the very bottom, they hold a lower-middle position, but the situation of the tribe wasn’t much better either. The entire tribe had only about ten simple thatched houses perched on a hillside, surrounded by muddy wastewater exuding a rotten stench, with flies buzzing around in the air.

The Beastman Tribes are pretty much the same, even in the human Civilized World, there’s no hygiene awareness, let alone the Beastman Tribes inside the Kawa Great Forest.

Saru’s tribe was split off from another Great Tribe two years ago.

In the Kawa Great Forest, when the area of activity of a tribe could no longer provide sufficient food for the entire tribe, a small part would automatically split and go explore elsewhere, searching for survival.

Of course, saying it was automatic separation, if one wasn’t abandoned and forced to leave, who would be willing to leave the tribe’s territory?

Every year, when the Beastman Tribe’s population exceeds its limit, the teams sent out to find new homes almost face a deadly peril in the dangerous Kawa Great Forest.

Saru and his comrades were somewhat lucky, after leaving the Great Tribe and enduring some losses, they finally found a relatively safe place to settle.

Minotaurs are good at cattle herding, relying on the group of domesticated wild cattle they brought from the tribe, Saru and his comrades managed to get through their hardest times upon settling in the area, laying a foundation near here.

Though during the recent cold winter, they lost over a dozen members due to hunger, but as the cold winter passed, the Kawa Great Forest saw all things reviving and growing. The entire forest entered a new cycle, and various food sources became plentiful again, allowing Saru and his tribe to gather enough food from the forest to get through the crisis.

However, good times didn’t last long; soon, a Storm Tiger appeared in the eastern valley at some unknown time. It released magic just like Wind Blade, and by now, several Minotaurs have been killed by the Storm Tiger. The herd they domesticated suffered heavy losses as well. If the Storm Tiger’s appetite wasn’t relatively fixed, their entire tribe and herd would have been devoured by it.

Even so, the Storm Tiger posed a severe threat to all production activities in the Minotaur Tribe. If it wasn’t restrained soon, the entire Minotaur tribe might be destroyed by the Storm Tiger.

But that’s easier said than done.

Undoubtedly, the Storm Tiger was a purely Extraordinary Magical Beast. Although Minotaurs are stronger than the Kobolds, Goblins, and other bottom-tier Beastmen due to their physique.

But so what, ordinary Beastmen can’t even resist against usual Magic Beasts, let alone a top-tier predator Magical Beast like the Storm Tiger.

"May the Beast God protect us, if there’s no other choice, we might have to move."

In the simple thatched house conference room, the Minotaur chief discussed with a few strong Minotaurs.

The whole room felt particularly gloomy.

"I don’t agree, the unexplored areas are too dangerous. Remember when over five hundred of us left the tribe, but what happened? More than three hundred companions died on the road before we finally found this relatively safe place. How can we give it up so easily?"

"Staying won’t solve anything, will you face the Storm Tiger?"

"I don’t agree, so what?"

Indeed a Minotaur, inheriting the bull’s stubborn temper as too. As soon as speaking out, it was on the verge of a clash.

"What are you pulling?"

"Pulling you!"

"Are you looking for a fight?!"

"Bring it on, I’m not afraid of you!"

As the argument heated up, two stubborn Minotaurs were about to fight.

"Enough, you two stop arguing!"

The Minotaur chief, already worried and irritated, immediately spoke up. Already annoyed, they made it worse, he said very disgustedly:

"At this point in time, still..."

The Minotaur chief wanted to rebuke them but hadn’t finished speaking when,

suddenly a change occurred.

BOOM!!!

With a loud bang, the thatched roof suddenly collapsed, opening a big hole, pieces of shattered wood and dust fell like snowflakes, while a huge stone with horrible power crashed into the center of the room causing the whole thatched house to tremble, the ground even dented with web-like cracks spreading everywhere.

What is this???

Looking at the huge hole in the roof exposing the sky and the gigantic stone taller than a person in front, the Minotaurs blinked blankly.

Did the stars fall from the sky?

Just as the Minotaur chief and his followers were at their wit’s end, the sound of breaking wind spread in the air,

then,

BANG BANG BANG!!!

The sound of continuous muffled explosions came from outside, shaking the ground in waves, as if welcoming an earthquake.

At that moment, a lung-splitting roar sounded outside.

"Enemy invasion!!!"

Finally, the Minotaurs realized, while the Minotaur chief slapped the board beside him, sprung up, anger erupting:

"Let’s see which clueless fool dares to come here and wreak havoc!"

Holding two large Iron Hammers, the Minotaur chief stormed out of the thatched room in rage.

At this moment, the entire Minotaur tribe was in chaos, more than half of the thatched houses had collapsed, huge stones scattered in the open space of the village, or crushed through houses and stood in the middle.

The stones falling from the sky didn’t cause many casualties, but thrown the whole Minotaur tribe into a state of extreme panic.

"Bastard, who is wreaking havoc here!"

Stepping out of the thatched house in a few strides, looking up, he saw rows of Beastman troops lining into neat formations, charging toward him.

"Kill!!!"

Amidst the murderous shouting, Beastman Long Spears were erected, led by nine towering Beastmen holding massive Stone Shields, charging fiercely.

The orderly formation, erected Long Spears, strict troops. This formidable scene,

at that moment,

made the Minotaur chief feel as if a mountain was crashing down, rocking him.

"Good! Three Lizardmen, a group of Jackal Wolf People, and Kobolds dare to come wreak havoc here?! Brothers, counter-attack them with full force!"

That shock lasted only a moment before the Minotaur chief regained his composure. Upon seeing the composition of the army, his anger turned into rage, raising his Stone Hammer to rally, leading the disordered troops to charge down toward the Beastman army formation.
