Two days later, the set of the opening ceremony for "The Bodyguard"!
Pig's head, yellow paper, and incense sticks were all prepared. Actors, the director, and reporters had arrived on site.
Actors like Zhenzi Dan, Fan Shaohuang, Yang Caimi, and Bai Bing were present. These actors had a certain level of fame within the industry.
But Su Han was different.
Su Han was an extra. The fact that an extra could be cast as the second male lead was a key point the media reporters seized upon for their questions today.
"Director Chen, I heard that the actor you chose for the second male lead is not a professional actor, but an extra."
"Are you worried about anything regarding this?"
A reporter quickly stood up and asked.
As expected, the focus of their questions was on Su Han, an extra, landing the role of the second male lead.
Regarding the reporter's question, Director Chen calmly and smoothly replied, "To be honest, if it were a regular extra, I would definitely be worried."
"But this extra is not ordinary. His acting is even better than that of professional actors, not inferior to professional actors."
"What I'm a little worried about right now is this."
Director Chen paused as he said this.
The reporter pressed on, "Are you worried he won't act well?"
Everyone's gaze was intense.
But what Director Chen said next made everyone gasp in shock.
"No, I'm worried he'll act too well, that he'll portray the villain Feng Yuxiu too villainously."
Everyone: ?????
What on earth?
This answer defied common sense.
Director Chen's response was completely unconventional.
Worried that an extra would act too well?
That was too exaggerated.
Even if an extra acted well, they couldn't possibly be better than a professional actor.
The reporters present all had expressions of disbelief.
But since Director Chen was the host, the reporters dared not push too hard.
They managed an awkward smile and moved on as if it had passed.
Of course, this segment of the interview would definitely be posted online by the media, where they would start to exaggerate and incite trouble.
However, Director Chen didn't mind, as all of this was within his expectations.
Being underestimated wasn't necessarily a bad thing; sometimes, it could indirectly help promote the film, perhaps for the better.
After the simple opening ceremony in the morning.
Filming began in the afternoon.
Before filming started, Su Han exchanged pleasantries with the actors on set, such as Zhenzi Dan, Fan Shaohuang, and Bai Bing.
"The Bodyguard" tells the story of martial arts instructor Xia Houwu being challenged by the martial arts fanatic Feng Yuxiu, which then stirs up a bloody storm in the Hong Kong martial arts world.
The film kicks off with a criminal case of a martial artist who declared himself the Southern Fist King, leading to the introduction of the protagonist, Xia Houwu, who is serving time in prison.
The protagonist Xia Houwu was imprisoned years ago for accidentally killing someone. Upon learning of this criminal case, the protagonist immediately requests to assist the police in solving the case and catching the killer.
The police agree to his request, and Xia Houwu is released from prison to find the killer.
This marks the beginning of the conflict with Feng Yuxiu.
Zhenzi Dan plays the protagonist Xia Houwu, who was formerly a martial arts coach for the police force.
In his youth, he desperately wanted to become the best in the world, so he sparred with many people. During an accident, he unintentionally killed someone and became a prisoner.
Because of this incident, he vowed never to use martial arts again.
But in the end, to protect the one he loves, he is forced to fight the villain Feng Yuxiu.
Su Han plays the second male lead, Feng Yuxiu.
This is a villainous role.
Feng Yuxiu, born with a disability, has legs of unequal length.
Such a disabled person would not be suitable for practicing martial arts, but he refused to yield to fate. To practice martial arts, he endured immense suffering that ordinary people could not bear.
He broke ties with his relatives and even killed his wife.
He was obsessed with martial arts, yearning to defeat Xia Houwu, who was once the best in the world, and become the best in the world himself.
This is roughly the situation for the two main male protagonists of this film.
The first scene to be shot is Zhenzi Dan's character.
Xia Houwu, while in prison, sees the criminal case on television and then seeks out Inspector Lu Xuanxin of the Serious Crimes Unit, claiming he can help her solve the case.
But the prison guards refuse. He is forced to cause trouble and fight in prison to make Lu Xuanxin come to see him.
Zhenzi Dan's fight scene was phenomenal.
He fought against more than a dozen people without showing any fear.
He single-handedly took down more than ten people. The scene was incredibly impressive, and every staff member couldn't help but gasp, deeply admiring Zhenzi Dan, truly living up to his reputation.
After Zhenzi Dan's fight sequence, the staff members began whispering amongst themselves.
"Zhenzi Dan is so amazing. I always thought it was acting before, but I didn't expect him to be so capable."
"Incredible, taking down over ten people by himself without even breaking a sweat."
"Now I'm a bit worried about Su Han, who has to fight him."
"No, no, Su Han is very capable. He beat the martial arts instructor before. Don't you guys know?"
"Yes, we know. But even if he's capable, he can't possibly be as capable as Teacher Zhenzi Dan, right?"
"Damn, that seems right too. Zhenzi Dan is a professional martial arts actor after all. This is really difficult, he'll probably have a tough time later. We should also prepare for many retakes."
After witnessing Zhenzi Dan's brilliant performance, many staff members secretly discussed that Su Han definitely couldn't compare to Zhenzi Dan.
Of course, Su Han heard all their discussions.
Heh, before it's even started, those people have already made a premature judgment. Aren't they underestimating me too much?
After all, I have a system. The role of Feng Yuxiu is deeply etched into my bones, and I also possess Feng Yuxiu's martial arts. How could I possibly not be a match for Zhenzi Dan?
As Su Han understands it, Feng Yuxiu later becomes someone with no attachments, in a state of "killing gods when encountering gods, killing Buddhas when encountering Buddhas."
If it weren't for the current movie trope that good triumphs over evil and villains must die, Feng Yuxiu would absolutely be able to counter-kill Xia Houwu!
Saying he can't beat Zhenzi Dan?
That's truly laughable!
Besides, general movies usually exaggerate things much more than reality. Currently, Zhenzi Dan is just the Zhenzi Dan in reality.
But if Su Han were to play Feng Yuxiu directly, then Su Han would become Feng Yuxiu.
Therefore, if they were to actually fight, he would definitely be able to take down Zhenzi Dan.
Thinking this, Su Han began to feel a sense of anticipation.
Just as he was thinking these thoughts, Zhenzi Dan walked towards him.
