Chapter 523 Han Yifan

"Hello, J," a sunny voice called out.

Jiang Nuan smiled. "H, I'd like to go out for a bit."

"Okay! I'll be right there."

After hanging up, Jiang Nuan found a stylish, light gray backpack in the closet. She packed her phone and other essentials. The weather was still pleasant, so she also included a change of clothes.

Once everything was ready, she checked on the five people lying unconscious under the trees. They were all men, each with extraordinary, almost otherworldly good looks.

She rarely saw any girls in the Dark Emperor. It was mostly men. These five men had been injured during a mission and had been in a deep sleep ever since. They weren't alone, however.

Jiang Nuan smiled at them, saying, "I hope you all wake up soon and reunite with your families."

"J, I'm here."

Their codenames in the Dark Emperor were the first letter of their surnames.

Jiang Nuan turned and saw a young man in white, dressed in white clothes and pants, with his long hair cascading over his shoulders. He possessed a graceful demeanor, like a celestial being.

Jiang Nuan offered a faint smile. "H, hello!"

Han Yifan looked at the beautiful Jiang Nuan, a flicker of admiration in his eyes.

"J, the car is outside," he said, standing under the tree and pointing outwards with a smile. A blush touched his handsome face, and his fair skin seemed to glow with a faint pink in the morning light.

Jiang Nuan looked, seeing a striking young man bathed in dappled light. He was as gentle and warm as jade, in the prime of his life, standing against the wind as if a thousand flowers had bloomed.

Jiang Nuan walked over with a smile and shook his hand.

"Let's go." Under the morning sun, her smile was breathtaking, leaving an indelible impression that seemed to surge through the river of time.

Han Yifan had grown up at Cape One from a young age. He was the great-grandson of Old Man Wang and was the same age as Jiang Nuan. He was a cheerful, lively, and somewhat naive young man with astonishing medical skills.

Han Yifan drove a jeep. A section of the mountain road was unpaved, making it inaccessible for ordinary cars.

He looked at Jiang Nuan, his eyes clear and his smile gentle. "J, where are we going?"

Jiang Nuan smiled at him. "To the city center."

"Alright!" A faint smile graced the young man's lips, as gentle as the clear breeze and bright moon.

"J, this is breakfast I made for you, lamb pancakes. I added some medicinal herbs to help with your recovery. Although your wounds have healed very well, I think they can heal even better."

"Thank you!" Jiang Nuan took the meat wrap, its aroma filling the car.

She asked in surprise, "Did you make this yourself?"

"Yes, I spend my days researching medicinal herbs, and my greatest joy is cooking. You can come over to my place tonight, and I'll make you a delicious roasted whole lamb," Han Yifan invited her with a smile.

Jiang Nuan had actually planned to stay out that night and check into a hotel. Hearing Han Yifan's invitation, she agreed.

She took a bite of the meat wrap. "Delicious."

Her eyes lit up, and she took another bite.

The young man, praised, also smiled. In the morning light, the atmosphere inside the car was incredibly pleasant.

The journey down the mountain took nearly five hours, finally reaching the city at six in the evening. Jiang Nuan, let alone sightseeing, just wanted to sleep. She finally understood that Cape One was truly located deep in the mountains and forests.

The capital of Qi Kingdom was incredibly prosperous, exuding a fashionable aura everywhere. The towering city was not what Jiang Nuan longed for most; Cape One, with its peace and comfort, free from the city's disturbances, was where she preferred her later years.

"H, I'm very tired. Do you have a place to rest in the city?" Jiang Nuan leaned against the seat, looking weakly at Han Yifan. Her body was still quite weak and needed a good sleep.

Han Yifan glanced back at her and smiled. "Yes, I'll take you there now."

He had been driving for over ten hours, and he was also quite tired. He had seen Jiang Nuan's profile and was very interested in her. His grandfather also praised her highly and wanted her to learn from several elders, which further piqued his interest.

Han Yifan took her to his private villa in the city. It was situated by the mountains and water, and it was most beautiful in the evening. The maple leaves on the back mountain were as red as fire, and the air was very fresh.

Han Yifan parked the car in the courtyard. Jiang Nuan unbuckled her seatbelt and got out. Looking at the grand villa before her, Jiang Nuan couldn't help but sigh, realizing how good it was to be rich.

"Thank you! I think I need to sleep for a while." Jiang Nuan was truly exhausted, her brow furrowed. She felt weak and dizzy, her body feeling heavy.

Han Yifan knew her current condition couldn't handle any strain and led her upstairs to rest.

"J, you can stay here. Three days isn't enough, so I told my grandfather to give you ten days of leave to rest well." The young man left like the wind without waiting for Jiang Nuan's reply, seeming very eager.

Han Yifan was actually eager to use the restroom; he had been holding it for two hours.

Jiang Nuan didn't even have time to survey the room. The moment she hit the pillow, she was asleep.

When she woke up, it was already past nine in the evening. Jiang Nuan slowly sat up and looked around the room. The decor was entirely white, pure and pristine. The window sills featured relief carvings, simple and elegant.

She slowly got out of bed and found the bathroom. After washing up, she came out to find a maid standing at the doorway, smiling at her. "Miss, this is the clothing the young master prepared for you. After you change, you can come down for dinner."

"Thank you!" Jiang Nuan took it and saw it was a white dress. It had a somewhat ethereal quality. She noticed that everyone at Cape One seemed to favor this style of clothing. The fabric was exceptionally comfortable, and wearing it made her feel light and graceful.

After changing, Jiang Nuan looked at her long, straight hair, feeling very ethereal. However, she still preferred her usual style: a white shirt and black pants, which she found more capable and fitting for her.

Upon reaching the first floor, she caught the aroma of food. Jiang Nuan was hungry and craved meat. A maid led her to the backyard.

Under the bright night sky, solar lights illuminated the surroundings. In the open space of the backyard, a white pavilion was set up, with flowers and trees planted on both sides. In the center was a large kitchen, fully equipped with all necessary utensils.

Han Yifan, dressed in white clothes and pants, stood tall and slender, skillfully carving the roasted lamb. Hearing footsteps, he turned to look at Jiang Nuan and offered her a gentle smile. Seeing Jiang Nuan in the white dress, his eyes were filled with admiration; she truly looked perfect in it.

Jiang Nuan felt his gaze was a little intense. She looked at him deeply and said with a smile, "It smells so good."

"Nuan Nuan, please try this!" Han Yifan brought over a lamb leg and placed it in front of Jiang Nuan. Jiang Nuan didn't mind him changing her address; after leaving Cape One, codenames were no longer used.

"Thank you!" Jiang Nuan sat down at the table. The gentle evening breeze lifted her dark hair, making her look instantly stunning.

Han Yifan momentarily lost himself in the sight of her. Jiang Nuan looked down, cutting the lamb to eat, unaware of Han Yifan's gaze.

"It's delicious." There was no hint of gaminess, and it was perfectly roasted, crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. Jiang Nuan loved it.
