The first light of dawn

Chapter 3 The Objective Has Been Achieved

A man in a black shirt stepped out of the car with an elegant air. His features were chiseled and deep, his gaze dark and restrained, radiating an innate, aggressive charisma befitting someone accustomed to power.

He walked in with a detached expression. As he reached the doorway and heard the name "Jiang Nuan" from the large screen, his steps faltered. His upright figure stood still, his eagle-like dark eyes fixed on the screen.

Xiao Fan was all too familiar with this name; it was the woman he had been searching for for six years without success.

Xiao Fan glanced at Ninth Master, noticing his gaze scanning the surroundings.

Mu Jiuchen narrowed his dark eyes, his long-dormant heart gradually coming alive.

In what manner would a person who had disappeared for six years make their return?

A hint of amused interest curved Mu Jiuchen's thin lips.

The final video showed Shen Yao stealing Jiang Ge's composition and achieving fame.

"My God, how could Shen Yao be so wicked? Was everything just a calculation?"

"This is too terrifying. This live broadcast is absolutely sensational, it's completely changed my perspective."

"Damn, damn, damn, I've been a fan of hers for so long. To peel back the layers and find something so disgusting inside, it's heartbreaking."

The crowd erupted in discussion, their anger palpable.

The reporters, with their long lenses and cameras, aimed them at the big screen, initiating the live broadcast.

Shen Yao's face turned ashen, her body gradually going limp until she collapsed onto the floor, unable to rise.

"Ms. Shen, are these facts?"

"Did you scheme against Teacher Jiang to get the lead role, have an ambiguous relationship with a certain entertainment company CEO, and also frame the Jiang family's adopted daughter? Are these all true?" Su Dan Fiction Network

"Ms. Shen, can you tell us about your relationship with Jiang Jiang Nuan...?"

The reporters' questions came thick and fast.

Shen Yao seemed not to hear them. She slowly raised her eyes and, amidst the crowd, spotted a familiar figure.

"Jiang Nuan," she cried out the two words uncontrollably.

But the noise of the event was too great; no one heard her.

Her assistant and agent also pushed their way onto the stage. Each holding one of Shen Yao's arms, they tried to help her leave.

At that moment, two police officers approached, identified themselves, and one of them spoke sternly, "Shen Yao, we have received a report that you are involved in a murder case. We now ask for your assistance in the investigation."

The scene instantly fell silent.

Only Jiang Nuan's lips, a vibrant red, curved into a pained smile.

"Grandmother, today, I will avenge you!"

Shen Yao, jolted back to reality, couldn't accept it all. She scrambled madly towards the audience.

Everything she had done was merely superficial; the truly hateful person was Jiang Nuan's father, that monstrous man.

"Jiang Nuan, come out, was it you, was it you?" she screamed hysterically towards the throng of people.

Seeing her attempt to flee, the two officers pursued her from behind.

But with too many flashing lights, Shen Yao could no longer see that familiar figure.

Jiang Nuan, seeing her objective achieved, smiled into the earpiece hidden in her collar and said, "The plan is successful. Everyone go home."

Then, she looked at Shen Yao, who was frantically searching for her. Her gaze was cold and sharp. Shen Yao was only the first step.

The truly terrifying ones were her adoptive father and mother. A devilish smirk played on her lips; the future held great promise.

Because she had never experienced familial love, she was the one who left first!

Lowering her head, she quickened her pace and exited the building. She looked up at the bright sky, but the smile on her lips gradually turned bitter and pained.

She took a deep breath and turned, only to collide violently with a hard, unyielding embrace.
