Chapter 227 Arrogant Sun Qichen

Ye Tian was furious. "Who did this?" he demanded.

His uncle replied, "The Sun family! Sun Qichen bought the entire forest to build a cold storage facility! Ye Gui and I went to stop him, and he beat us up!"

Ye Tian narrowed his eyes. "I see."

After hanging up, Ye Tian changed his clothes, told his family, and drove back to the village.

His car drove directly to the edge of the forest, where he saw over a hundred people shouting outside the woods, confronting a group in blue uniforms. These uniformed individuals, numbering one to two hundred, looked menacing.

"This land belongs to the collective village. What right do you have to dig it up? My ancestors have been buried here for four generations!" someone shouted.

A man in his thirties stood there, one hand on his hip, the other holding a cigarette, his gaze cold and tinged with disdain. He clearly didn't take the villagers seriously.

The village chief was also present, but he was squatting to the side, smoking and not daring to utter a word. It wasn't for nothing; Sun Qichen was not to be trifled with. His brother was a high-ranking official in the district, and his cousin held a position in the provincial government. Sun Qichen himself was a ruthless character. He had monopolized the sand and gravel business at fifteen, amassing millions. Later, he became a contractor for major projects in the city, accumulating hundreds of millions, and his friends were all wealthy and influential. Who would dare provoke him?

A wave of engine noise announced the arrival of a high-spec BMW 7 Series, which stopped at the edge of the forest. This caused everyone to fall silent and turn their attention to the car.

Sun Qichen also looked over, slightly surprised, seemingly curious about the car's owner.

When the car door opened and Ye Tian stepped out, Sun Qichen froze for a moment. As he hadn't been home for a long time, he didn't recognize Ye Tian.

At that moment, a relative next to him whispered a few words in his ear. After listening, Sun Qichen's disdain intensified. "I wondered who it was. So it's the second young master of the Ye family."

Seeing Ye Tian, his uncle and Ye Gui, as if finding someone to back them up, rushed over to complain.

"Xiao Tian, this Sun fellow is truly despicable. He's even planning to exhume our ancestral graves."

Ye Tian saw the village chief nearby and said coldly, "Come here."

The village chief's heart skipped a beat, but he still got up obediently and hurried over, smiling obsequiously. "Xiao Tian, you're back?"

Ye Tian asked coldly, "What's going on?"

Village Chief Wang Dalong sighed. "I can't help it. The district called and told me to sell this land to the Sun family. I had no choice but to sell."

Ye Tian: "This land is the common burial ground for the villagers. Don't you know that?"

Wang Dalong gave a wry smile. "I truly have no choice. You know, my family's graves are also in there."

Ye Tian glared at him, and the latter quickly lowered his head.

He glanced at Ye Gui, whose face bore several punches, his left eye bruised, and his nose bleeding.

He asked, "Who hit you?"

Ye Gui pointed at Sun Qichen and shouted, "He did! He even insulted our grandfather!"

Ye Tian narrowed his eyes and slowly walked towards Sun Qichen.

Sun Qichen held his head high, his chin almost reaching the sky.

Ye Tian: "Sun Qichen, you hit Ye Gui and insulted my grandfather?"

Sun Qichen sneered, "Ye family kid, I hit him and I insulted him. What can you do about it?"

"Too arrogant!" the villagers murmured.

"Exactly. Just because he's rich, he's acting like this. It's too much!"

Ye Tian grunted and asked Ye Gui again, "Have my grandfather's and my parents' graves been disturbed?"

Ye Gui: "My uncle and aunt's graves have all been leveled."

Ye Tian silently lit a cigarette and said, "Sun Qichen, I'll give you one chance. Go and fix the graves, then kneel and apologize."

Sun Qichen was stunned, then burst into laughter. "Ye family kid, are you crazy? You want me to apologize? Who do you think you are?"

Ye Tian exhaled a puff of smoke. "I am your ancestor!"

"Thump!" Sun Qichen, about to curse, suddenly knelt on the ground, completely out of his control.

"Here it comes!" Village Chief Wang Dalong exclaimed, his eyelids twitching wildly.
