Chapter 624 Jiu Zuo Yu Ji

Ren Ping: "The head of the Eastern Dragon Conglomerate, Hisa Tamaki. She claims to be here for investment inspection, but my intelligence suggests they have ulterior motives. To prevent them from causing trouble, the higher-ups specifically assigned me to receive her. Of course, my current identity is the head of the investment promotion department."

Ye Tian: "I'll be right there."

In one of the best hotels in the capital, Ren Ping, disguised as an official host, was in a room with a group of subordinates. The room was filled with listening devices, allowing them to monitor all conversations from the other side.

When Ye Tian entered, Ren Ping took off his headphones and said, "For a day and a half, I haven't heard anything. These people might know they're being monitored."

Ye Tian: "Weren't they here for inspection? Why are they still staying in the hotel?"

Ren Ping: "They said Hisa Tamaki isn't feeling well. I suspect there's more to it."

Ye Tian: "Let me listen."

He put on the headphones and heard someone speaking in Japanese. He couldn't understand it and could only analyze their tone.

Suddenly, a woman spoke. After only a few sentences, he frowned slightly. After listening for a few more minutes, he took off the headphones and said, "A woman is sick."

Ren Ping was stunned: "You could tell she was sick just from a few sentences?"

Ye Tian: "She has a lung condition. Her breathing has a distinct characteristic, so I could tell."

After listening to the woman's voice, Ren Ping said, "She is Hisa Tamaki. It seems she is genuinely ill. Brother, could you do me a favor and accompany me to see her? I'll say you are a renowned doctor from the capital, specially invited to treat her."

Ye Tian: "Alright."

Ren Ping put on his suit jacket and, with Ye Tian, knocked on a nearby door. The door opened, and a middle-aged man bowed slightly: "Mr. Ren, is there something you need?"

Ren Ping smiled and said, "Butler Oda, I heard Miss Hisa is not feeling well, so I've invited Mr. Ye, a renowned doctor from the capital. Mr. Ye has treated several Grand Guardians and many important figures, curing them with his medicine."

The butler, Oda, glanced at Ye Tian and said faintly, "Thank you, Mr. Ren. However, in terms of medical skill, our Eastern doctors surpass those of your country."

Ye Tian thought to himself, "He's quite boastful." He then said, "If the doctors of your country are so skilled, why haven't they cured your young lady's illness yet?"

The butler Oda was taken aback, and after a few seconds of silence, he replied, "Doctor Watanabe is currently giving his full attention to the treatment. Healing takes time."

Just then, a woman's voice came from inside the room: "Butler, please invite the gentleman in."

Butler Oda turned and bowed slightly: "Yes."

Then, he said to Ye Tian, "Mr. Ye, Mr. Ren, please come in!"

Ren Ping and Ye Tian entered the room. In the living room, a young woman, not yet twenty years old, was very beautiful but had a flushed face. She was sitting weakly on the sofa.

Beside her, an Eastern doctor was performing acupuncture. The woman coughed softly from time to time, her expression quite pained.

The woman was indeed Hisa Tamaki. She nodded slightly at Ye Tian and Ren Ping: "I am unwell and unable to rise to greet you. Please forgive me."

Her Mandarin was excellent, with no discernible Eastern accent, which surprised Ye Tian.

"Miss Hisa's Mandarin is very standard."

Hisa Tamaki smiled: "Is it? Thank you. My teacher was from your country, and I learned Mandarin from a young age."

Ren Ping said, "Miss Hisa, this is Mr. Ye, a renowned doctor in our capital."

The doctor performing acupuncture, who was in his fifties, clearly showed a disdainful expression upon hearing "renowned doctor in our capital," as if he found it unimpressive.

Hisa Tamaki said, "Thank you, Mr. Ren. My condition has already improved."

Ye Tian immediately said, "Although your cough has lessened, your illness has actually worsened. This doctor's acupuncture is completely in the wrong direction."

His medical skills were extraordinary; he could tell the treatment was problematic with just a glance.

The doctor straightened up, his face turning angry: "You say my treatment method is incorrect? Please enlighten me!"

Ye Tian asked, "What illness does Miss Hisa have?"

The doctor snorted coldly: "Naturally, it's a lung condition caused by a cold."

Ye Tian shook his head: "Although it resembles a cold, it is not a cold. It is caused by damage to the lung meridian from taking a certain medication."
