After practicing swordplay for a while, Ye Tian took a glass bottle and collected some corpse insects from the female corpse. He planned to study these insects to uncover the secret behind their ability to maintain youthfulness.
He added some water to the bottle and then vibrated it with his internal energy. The corpse insects burst, releasing all their medicinal properties into the water, which turned a pale blue.
He grabbed a mouse and fed it a drop. As soon as it drank, the mouse struggled violently. After a few seconds, it became still, its body rigid.
Seeing that it wasn't dead, Ye Tian placed it in a small cage to observe when it would recover.
By noon, the mouse stood up again. Its eyes had turned purplish-red, though its movements were stiff. However, it was evident that the mouse had gained more strength and its fur was glossier, clearly showing signs of rejuvenation.
Ye Tian understood that this indicated the corpse insects contained both beneficial and harmful components. When he had time, he would find a way to extract the beneficial elements.
At half-past twelve, Zhang Longsheng called. He chuckled, "Mr. Ye, I heard your people are in Shu?"
Ye Tian immediately realized that Zhang Longsheng must have someone else with him, and that person was likely Tang Xuansi.
He replied, "Brother Zhang, I'm in Shu for some matters. I'll come to have a drink with you later."
Zhang Longsheng said, "Mr. Ye, we are not strangers, and this friend from the Tang Sect is also my close confidant. Could you do me a favor and spare some spiritual medicine for him?"
Ye Tian chuckled, "I don't have any spiritual medicine."
Zhang Longsheng continued, "Mr. Ye, you and I are not outsiders, and this person from the Tang Sect is also my close friend. Could you give me some face and let him have some spiritual medicine?"
Ye Tian deliberately paused for a few seconds before saying, "I really don't have much spiritual medicine, just a bit of ginseng and ganoderma."
Zhang Longsheng smiled, "Ginseng and ganoderma are also good things. How about this, Mr. Ye, I'll send someone to pick you up, and we can discuss it when we meet?"
Ye Tian replied, "Alright."
After hanging up, Shui Yuexian asked, "Do you need us to accompany you later?"
Ye Tian said, "It's our first meeting, so it's better if I go alone. Please wait for me here for now."
Soon, a luxurious stretch limousine stopped at the entrance. A butler in white knocked on the door and asked with a smile, "Are you Mr. Ye?"
Ye Tian approached the door, "I am. Did Zhang Longsheng send you?"
The butler replied, "Indeed. I am Old Luo, the butler from the East Courtyard of the Tang Sect."
Ye Tian got into the car, and it drove out of the city towards Qingcheng Mountain. After driving for a while, the car began to ascend the mountain, taking a one-way narrow path instead of the main road.
There was a guard post at the entrance, and vehicles entering were subject to inspection. Two people were inside the guard post, and upon seeing the license plate number, they immediately allowed the car to pass.
The road was about five meters wide, with a railing on one side and flowers and trees planted on the mountain side. The scenery along the way was pleasant.
After a few minutes, the car passed through a long mountain tunnel. Beyond the tunnel lay a valley that was spring-like throughout the year. Numerous ancient buildings were constructed in the valley, some dating back a thousand years.
As the car reached the entrance of the valley, there stood a massive jade archway, intricately carved and exquisitely decorated. Two ancient characters, "Tang Men," were inscribed upon it.
The car drove past the archway and entered the Tang Sect. After driving for a short distance, it entered a magnificent courtyard.
Upon alighting from the car, Ye Tian followed Butler Luo into the living room, where Zhang Longsheng and a middle-aged man were chatting.
Seeing Ye Tian arrive, both men stood up. Zhang Longsheng smiled, "Mr. Ye, thank you for giving me face. Let me introduce you, this is the Sect Master of the Tang Sect, Mr. Tang Xuansi."
Ye Tian cupped his fists, "Sect Master Tang, I've heard much about you."
Tang Xuansi was about 1.8 meters tall, wearing a purple robe made of Shu cotton. He was in his early forties, with thick eyebrows and large eyes, and a smile on his face.
"Mr. Ye, I've heard about you from Brother Zhang and wished to meet you. It is my great fortune to meet you today."
Ye Tian smiled, "Sect Master Tang, you are too kind."
After they were seated, Zhang Longsheng said, "Mr. Ye, since you are here in Shu, you must stay for a few more days."
Ye Tian replied, "I'm here to accompany a friend, so I can stay a few more days to enjoy the beautiful scenery of Shu and its beauties."
They all laughed. Tang Xuansi said, "Speaking of beauties, Mr. Ye, you must ask me. I will definitely make perfect arrangements for you."
After some pleasantries, Zhang Longsheng got to the main topic, "Mr. Ye, do you have any spiritual medicine with you?"
Ye Tian nodded. He had brought a briefcase with him. Opening it, he took out a ginseng root and a ganoderma mushroom.
The ginseng was one he had found in the medicinal field, the one with the most potent medicinal properties and strongest efficacy. Its quality was comparable to a mutated wild ginseng of six or seven hundred years.
The ganoderma was something he had purchased from a tribe and continued to cultivate on Jiuhua Mountain for some time, further enhancing its quality.
Tang Xuansi immediately picked up the ginseng and tasted a root fiber. After a moment, he smiled, "What a fine ginseng! This ginseng is at least six hundred years old."
