"What do you want?" Xu Bingshan asked calmly.
Xu Bingshan's composure and calmness surprised the captain and the others. They were in control of the entire ship on the vast sea, and should have been terrified. Why were they still so self-possessed?
The captain showed a cruel smile. "Miss Xu, my men have been preparing for this operation for over half a year. Your father is a wealthy magnate in the dragon trade. We're asking him to fork over a billion US dollars to save his own daughter. That's not too much, is it?"
Xu Bingshan said lightly, "Ten thousand US dollars? Does it require alarming my father? I have it right here."
The captain and a few of his subordinates exchanged glances, then burst into laughter.
"Very good. Miss Xu, you can also pay the billion US dollars yourself, and then we'll release you."
Xu Bingshan said indifferently, "I can give you the money, but are you worthy?"
The captain's face darkened. "What are you talking about?"
Xu Bingshan said, "Let me introduce you. This is my boyfriend, his name is Ye Tian, and he's incredibly good at fighting."
The captain looked at Ye Tian, then roared with laughter. Just as he was about to say something mocking, Ye Tian gently waved his right hand. Four gunmen were sent flying over ten meters as if hit by a tank, falling directly into the sea. These people had already lost all signs of life in mid-air. Ye Tian's full-force strike had shattered their internal organs.
The captain was stunned. He trembled and asked, "You... you're a sorcerer!"
Xu Bingshan said lightly, "He's not a sorcerer, just the North American champion of peak combat. He alone can wipe out the entire Dolphin Commando unit. How dare you provoke us? Who gave you the guts?"
The captain had heard of peak combat in his early years. He turned pale with fright and slowly knelt on the ground, trembling, "Please don't kill us!"
Xu Bingshan said calmly, "You are the captain, so I'll spare your dog life for now. But from now on, you must obey and do your job as captain."
The captain breathed a sigh of relief. "Yes, yes, we will be diligent and do our work well!"
Xu Bingshan: "Now, I have a few questions for you."
The captain quickly said, "Miss Xu, please ask. I will answer truthfully."
"Why did you choose me?"
The captain said, "We were commissioned by someone to kidnap Miss Xu at sea. Then he would bring his men to rescue you. After the job was done, he promised to give us ten million US dollars."
Xu Bingshan asked, "Who is that person?"
The captain said, "His name is Luo Yaozong."
Xu Bingshan exclaimed angrily, "So it's this scoundrel!"
The captain: "However, after we learned of your identity, we decided to make it a real kidnapping, bringing Miss Xu to sea and then demanding a billion US dollars. Once we get the money, we'll go live in Europe."
Xu Bingshan asked no more questions. She checked various places to prevent these people from playing any more tricks.
Ye Tian accompanied her on the inspection and asked, "Bingshan, how much longer until we arrive?"
Xu Bingshan: "About ten more days of sailing. Fortunately, the journey has been smooth sailing."
As they spoke, a vast expanse of dense fog suddenly appeared ahead.
Seeing the fog, the captain's face changed drastically. He had been a captain for twenty-five years and had encountered countless strange things. He shouted, "Turn back, quickly!"
Everyone became tense, and the ship quickly turned around.
Ye Tian asked, "Why turn back?"
The captain's face was filled with terror. He said, "This is a sea of ghostly fog, and there are very terrifying things inside. I encountered it once nineteen years ago. Out of over a hundred people on the ship, ninety-five died!"
Ye Tian narrowed his eyes and said coldly, "No turning back, continue forward!"
The captain was stunned and said, "We absolutely cannot go in, it's too dangerous!"
Ye Tian glanced at the captain. The latter's heart skipped a beat, and he gritted his teeth, ordering the crew to continue sailing forward.
Ten minutes later, the ship sailed into the fog. There was a faint fragrance in the dense fog, and visibility was extremely low. Anything beyond ten meters was almost invisible.
Fortunately, this was the open sea, and the ship could sail freely.
