Chapter 125: The Truth Behind the Aura

Chapter 125: Chapter 125: The Truth Behind the Aura

The guild turned into chaos the moment Jax stepped into the meeting hall after letting Zela leave. All the girls immediately surrounded him, throwing questions at him nonstop, not even giving him space to breathe.

"Jax! How did you do it?"

"Yeah! Kalamus’s scales were like steel, our attacks didn’t do anything! How were you able to hurt him, let alone kill him?"

"And that blue aura! What was it?"

"When did you even learn it?"

"Can we use it too?"

Jax raised his hands, trying to calm them down. "Hey, hey, one at a time!" He let out a long sigh, scratching the back of his neck. "The truth is... I don’t really know what it is yet. It just... happened. I still need to figure it out before I can explain it."

The noise died instantly. Everyone went quiet, listening closely. Jax’s eyes grew serious as he remembered the top of the tower. "But there’s something I need to tell you. Up there... I met the being who created the system."

Gasps filled the room. A few covered their mouths in shock, others just froze with wide eyes.

"He’s called Celestial," Jax said in a low, heavy voice. "And just by saying his name... he almost killed me instantly. That’s the level of power I’m talking about."

Silence. The girls couldn’t even process it.

"But he also told me something important," Jax continued. "We’ve all been depending too much on the system. And that’s not how it’s supposed to be. The system is only meant to help us, a tool, not a crutch we lean on forever. We’ve been treating it like it’s everything... and because of that, we’ve stopped growing on our own."

They didn’t fully understand his words, but deep down, they knew they mattered.

Jax rubbed his temples and sighed again. "Look, I don’t have all the answers yet. That blue aura... it’s not a skill I can teach you, or a spell I can hand over. It’s more like a feeling. Something I need to figure out before I can even try to explain it."

The girls exchanged nervous glances but chose to trust him.

"I need some time alone," Jax said finally, standing up. "I need to think about how to use it. Until then... trust me, alright?"

No one argued. They all nodded quietly, watching as he left, carrying a weight none of them could understand.

Jax stepped out of the guild house, his mind restless. He needed answers, and there was only one place he could find them. His steps carried him back to the tower—the one that had sealed his fate. He climbed up to the tenth floor, where he remembered seeing the Celestial.

He stopped at the door, took a deep breath, and pushed it open, unsure if he was even allowed to enter. To his surprise, the door swung wide without resistance.

Inside, the Celestial waited, sitting calmly on his ethereal throne, a faint smile on his face.

"I knew it would be you," he said, his deep voice echoing through eternity. "I might not see another like you for a very, very long time. Tell me... who else could defeat a monster one step away from becoming a demigod?"

Jax froze. He always thought he was strong, but never once did he consider himself worthy of such a title.

"Don’t doubt it, boy," the Celestial said sharply, his gaze piercing.

Jax’s eyes widened. "Wait... can you read my thoughts?"

The Celestial chuckled softly. "Of course. You’re standing before the creator of all this. Here, there are no secrets."

Jax swallowed hard, trying to keep his composure.

"That’s right," the Celestial leaned forward slightly. "You’re in my presence. Now tell me... what’s your question?"

Jax didn’t hesitate. He had thought long and hard about what he really needed to ask.

"How can I control this blue energy?"

For a moment, silence swallowed the room, as if the entire universe itself was waiting for the answer. Then, the Celestial laughed. A deep, strange laughter that shook the air itself, making it feel like the whole world trembled along with it.

"Many have come before you... yet in just two moments, you’ve understood more than all of them combined. I congratulate you."

Jax clenched his fists, listening intently.

"That blue energy you see around you isn’t just power. It’s the laws of the universe. To control them... you must understand them."

Jax frowned. "But what does that even mean? How am I supposed to understand something I don’t even know?"

The Celestial watched him calmly, as if he already knew the answer.

"You don’t know... but you have it. That’s the difference between you and everyone else."

"But—" Jax tried to speak.

The Celestial shook his head. "I’m sorry. I can’t tell you any more. It would be too dangerous—for me, for you, and... for everyone."

The conversation ended there. Jax left the tower with a scowl, even more confused than before. He wandered aimlessly through the guild’s territory, lost in thought, trying to make sense of what he had just heard.

He walked in silence, his eyes distant, while the blue aura burned around him like a living flame. He didn’t try to force it, only to feel it, to let himself sink into that strange energy he couldn’t understand.

Then he realized—he wasn’t alone.

At his passing, different races began to kneel. Beasts, humans, elves, demons... all dropped to their knees, unable to resist. Some murmured words that sounded like chants of worship, others simply trembled, unable to meet his eyes.

The air itself grew heavy, so dense it felt like it was cracking apart. The aura surrounding him carried such an absolute presence that they felt like they were standing before a god.

Jax stopped. The aura grew thicker, more tangible, as if it were responding to the crowd that worshipped him. He closed his eyes and, for a brief moment, he felt it: the flow of their faith pouring into him, strengthening every fiber of his being.

And then he remembered—the last words the God of Time had told him before leaving.

"Faith..."

The word echoed in his mind, so clear it was as if it had just been whispered in his ear. The answer was simple, yet impossibly complex. Gaining faith wasn’t the problem. The question was... how should he use it?

Jax stood frozen in a trance, his eyes glowing as if blazing lights were trapped inside them, releasing an impossibly powerful blue radiance.
