Mi Jia Xiao Wu

Chapter 106 A Lavish Dinner

He felt an itch in his nostrils and sneezed, unsure how long he had slept.

A bath towel covered his face.

He pulled the towel aside and saw Xiao Yun propped on the bed, looking at him with a half-smile that sent a shiver down his spine.

"Why are you looking at me like that?"

"Did you do anything bad?" Xiao Yun retorted.

"What did I do? I didn't do anything." Guo Xuyang was still groggy.

"How did we get back?"

"Elena and I carried you back."

"Don't you have anything to confess?"

"Confess what? I searched for people all night yesterday to save you. I only found you this morning. What's going on?" Guo Xuyang asked.

"Is that true?" Xiao Yun's face changed, turning ashen.

"It's true. What's wrong?"

"It's nothing. Did you really not do anything to betray me?"

"No."

Hearing Guo Xuyang's decisive answer, Xiao Yun got up, looking lost.

She didn't know how to continue the conversation with Guo Xuyang.

When she woke up, she found an abnormal pain in her lower body. Although she couldn't recall exactly what had happened later that day, she knew she had become a woman.

She had assumed she had slept with Guo Xuyang, but he said she hadn't.

Could it have been with that Hughes?

She couldn't believe it. She didn't know how to face Guo Xuyang.

Should she tell him the truth? Her mind was a mess.

As she walked out of Guo Xuyang's room in a daze, Guo Xuyang was just waking up from his stupor.

He realized he might have misunderstood Xiao Yun's intentions.

Had Xiao Yun come to seek confirmation? And had his answer been somewhat incorrect?

He hurriedly put on his clothes and rushed out without even washing his face.

"Where is Xiao Yun?" he asked anxiously, finding only Elena in the room.

"She just said she was going to call you for the Hundred Beast Feast and went looking for you. What? You didn't see her?" Elena was also flustered, still shaken by what had happened yesterday.

"No. She just came out of my room, I thought she had returned." Guo Xuyang said.

"She shouldn't have gone far. Let's go look for her together."

"No need. You stay in the room, I'll go. Don't go out." Guo Xuyang instructed and walked out.

As he walked, he scanned his surroundings with focused eyes.

On the rooftop, the person with their legs hanging over the edge of the building, wasn't it Xiao Yun?

He hurried towards the rooftop.

"My dear little aunt, please don't scare me like this. What are you doing?" Guo Xuyang shouted, preparing to grab Xiao Yun.

"Don't come any closer. If you do, I'll jump." Xiao Yun yelled.

"No, my dear. If you have something on your mind, you can tell me. What is all this?"

"I'm sorry, I was..." Xiao Yun started to cry involuntarily.

"What are you sorry for? It's nothing. Please come down first, come down and let me talk to you."

"Don't come closer, you're lying to me, aren't you? Did you save me?"

"Yes. I saved you. That's right. I told you."

"But, but..." Xiao Yun couldn't finish her sentence after a long pause.

"Please come down first. I'll handle anything, no matter how big. Don't worry, no one will hurt you anymore."

"I, sob..." Xiao Yun started to cry loudly.

Guo Xuyang, catching her off guard, grabbed her collar and pulled her down, then slapped her on the backside.

"I told you not to be disobedient. If you do this again, it won't just be a slap."

Xiao Yun's face turned red at his words, and she forgot to cry.

Guo Xuyang felt he might have gone too far after the slap.

He had slapped her, but in his anger, he hadn't paid attention.

"Say what you want to say. How can I guess if you keep hesitating?"

"No. I feel I've wronged you."

"It's nothing. It's good that we're back safely. Alright, don't think about it too much. Elena is waiting for us in the room."

Saying this, he put his arm around her waist and they went downstairs.

Xiao Yun's face flushed again, feeling their closeness was a bit too intimate.

However, her heart felt warm, at least he truly cared about her.

When the two arrived at the room, Elena was pacing anxiously.

"Miss Xiao, are you alright? Mr. Guo said you were missing, and it scared me."

"I'm fine, thank you for your concern. I just went upstairs to get some fresh air and enjoy the view." Xiao Yun said nonchalantly.

Guo Xuyang inwardly grumbled, thinking: Was that getting fresh air and enjoying the view? It almost cost him his life.

The three changed their clothes and went downstairs to find the restaurant.

The Hundred Beast Feast featured barbecue, with roaring charcoal fires. Several large iron skewers held various meats, constantly rotating, while chefs brushed them with different ingredients.

"What do you want to eat? It's all you can eat today." Guo Xuyang said.

Xiao Yun looked at the menu, then at Elena, and said, "Let Elena order for us, she knows what's good here."

Elena signaled a waiter: "One order of oysters, one order of curry chicken pieces, one order of roasted lamb, one order of salmon, three fried eggs, three portions of spaghetti, and three black pepper steaks. And a bottle of red wine. That's all."

It seemed Elena had frequented this hotel, but why did Chick only come to take people away after they arrived? And why did Xiao Yun drink red wine while Elena was fine? Guo Xuyang pondered many things.

The ingredients were all very fresh, especially the oysters, which were delicious.

Xiao Yun ate very little, giving most of it to Guo Xuyang.

"People say this man is good at eating, so we can just try a little." Xiao Yun said, seeing Guo Xuyang's puzzled gaze.

Elena smiled secretly from the side.

"Mr. Guo, thank you for saving us. We don't know what would have happened if not for you." Elena raised her wine glass.

"It was my duty. Fortunately, you made a phone call, otherwise, Lv Liang would really have had no way to find you." Guo Xuyang was not telling the truth; he no longer trusted anyone.

"Oh, really? Regardless, you were the one who led us out in the end. We must thank you for that." Elena said.

"You're welcome." Guo Xuyang raised his glass and clinked it against hers.

Xiao Yun dared not drink red wine anymore.

Once bitten, twice shy, she had a psychological scar.

"Drinking a little won't be a problem, just don't drink too much." Guo Xuyang advised.

"I won't drink. And don't try to persuade me to drink red wine in the future. I'll get mad at anyone who does." Xiao Yun was firm about not drinking.

Finally, the bottle of red wine was finished by Guo Xuyang and Elena.
