A few people had just walked in when someone called the boss.
"Boss, the people who cut top-grade jade from us last time are back. Do you have time to come and take a look?"
"You entertain them well. I'll be right there." A man approaching fifty hung up the phone. Then he made another call.
"Elder Wang, are you free now? The people who cut top-grade jade from my place the other day are back."
"Mr. Li, arrange for someone to pick me up. Let's go take a look together."
Guo Xuyang was unaware that he had been targeted.
The group of people walked into the Dama Kan mining area hall one after another to pick rough stones.
Guo Xuyang, however, walked into the Mu Na mining area hall.
He had left last time before he had a chance to look at the rough stones from the Mu Na mining area.
The material inside was indeed good, even better than the more than ten pieces he had bought when he was leaving last time.
He had originally planned to give one piece to each of the others, but with so many good pieces, it would have been a shame not to take them.
So, he picked out more than twenty pieces and asked the staff to help him load them into the car downstairs.
Just then, the owner of the specialty store and Elder Wang arrived.
"Young man, it's fine to stop when you've had enough. Isn't this being too greedy?" Elder Wang said.
"I'm sorry, I don't know what you're talking about," Guo Xuyang replied.
"The rough stones you've bought would be enough for an ordinary family to eat for dozens of lifetimes. Don't you think you've gone too far?" Elder Wang said.
"It's a business that's open to the public. Since they are displayed, they are for sale. Otherwise, you should just take them back," Guo Xuyang retorted, refusing to back down.
He didn't know who this person was, but he could sense that this person should have the same special ability as him.
Otherwise, he wouldn't be speaking like this.
"I don't know how you picked them out, and I haven't seen you before. But I can introduce you to the owner of this store."
Elder Wang pointed to the middle-aged man beside him.
"This is Li Ziwen, the elder brother of Li Ziqi."
"I'm sorry, I don't know any Li Ziqi, and I'm not interested in who the boss is.
I just came to buy a few rough stones, and I'm not interested in knowing any Li Ziqi or Wang Ziqi."
As he spoke, he focused his gaze on Elder Wang's head.
"Could it be that this guy isn't a special ability user? Otherwise, how could he not know Li Ziqi? Did I misjudge him? No. I have to ask him."
Guo Xuyang could see Elder Wang's thoughts very clearly.
"You say you don't know Li Ziqi, do you know Wang Shimin?"
"I'm sorry, I don't."
"You don't even know Elder Wang?" Li Ziwen asked. "This is the person beside me."
"Yes. I don't know any of the people you mentioned.
I haven't been in the capital for long, and I'm just interested in these stones.
I don't know why you're saying this, and I'm not interested in finding out. Please excuse me, I need to pay."
Li Ziwen was a bit troubled when Guo Xuyang said this.
He opened this store actually hoping to pave the way for his family by opening up channels to the higher-ups through another avenue.
He hadn't expected Guo Xuyang to be prepared to buy so many rough stones again.
In fact, he knew nothing about these things; these rough stones were all collected by Elder Wang Shimin for him.
He was a bit reluctant to sell them.
If he didn't sell them, it wouldn't look good to be open for business and then refuse customers.
Moreover, he didn't know if there was some powerful figure backing Guo Xuyang.
In the capital, you shouldn't underestimate anyone.
Those elderly people strolling in the park might not seem conspicuous, but they could be the parents of some powerful figure.
"You can buy these stones, but it will be two billion." Wang Shimin said.
"What? Two billion? Why don't you just rob a bank?"
Li Minxi happened to step in and blurted out upon hearing Wang Shimin's words.
"How much is the registered capital of your store? Should we have the relevant departments come and investigate?"
"Xiao Xi? Why are you here?" Li Ziwen looked surprised to see Li Minxi.
"Uncle? I'm sorry, I didn't see you just now. I came with my friends to buy some stones. Is this your store?"
"Everyone has their own way of addressing each other. Call me Big Brother. Little Si is also your friend. Is this your friend?"
"Yes. My friend just arrived from out of town. Please don't be angry if there's anything he can't do.
If you don't want to sell these stones, we won't buy them. There's no need to ask for an exorbitant price.
My friend is timid and easily frightened." Li Minxi spoke with a tone that was neither too soft nor too hard, as she couldn't stand people who acted superior just because they had some influence.
"Look at what you're saying. We're open for business, why would we drive customers away?
These stones are indeed good, and they are worth the price. If you genuinely want to buy them, I can offer a slight discount."
Li Ziwen heard Li Minxi's words and understood that something was amiss, so he explained.
"Forget it. You keep them yourselves. Never mind two billion, I don't even have two hundred million.
At most thirty million. Sell it or not, if not, then forget it," Guo Xuyang said.
"Could it be that he's just guessing? Without special abilities, how could he pick out such good stones?
If you look at the price he's offering, it doesn't seem like he can tell what kind of jade is inside.
Each of these stones, once cut, would be worth over a hundred million." Wang Shimin began to doubt his own judgment.
"Thirty million? That's not even enough for one stone. These stones cannot be sold," Wang Shimin said.
"Then never mind. If you're not selling, let's go. Let's go check out other places," Guo Xuyang said as he walked towards the exit.
The others, who had just come in and didn't know what was going on, also followed him out when they heard Guo Xuyang's words.
"Brother, what's going on?" Pi Xiaoqian leaned over and asked.
"They don't want to sell, so why should we stay here?" Guo Xuyang replied.
"Not selling? What kind of store is it if the owner doesn't sell things?"
"I don't know. Maybe they have other intentions?"
Guo Xuyang certainly wouldn't tell them what he sensed from Li Ziwen.
"Could it be money laundering?" It had to be said that Fatty's thought process was truly different from others.
However, his guess wasn't far off.
Seeking benefits for the family was not much different from money laundering.
"Don't talk nonsense. This is the store opened by Li Ziyu's elder brother," Li Minxi said. "Be careful not to get into trouble."
"Look at my big mouth." Pi Xiaoqian pretended to slap his own mouth.
"Alright. Stop fooling around. Who is that old man? How can he be in charge for the boss?" Li Minxi asked.
"I don't know. Perhaps this old man obtained these stones," Guo Xuyang said.
"Is he as capable as you?"
"I don't know."
After chatting, the group left the jade specialty store and went their separate ways.
Guo Xuyang and Iliana got into the car driven by Lu Liang.
He looked up at the Mu Na mining area hall and found no one there.
He muttered "Collect" and absorbed all the rough stones he had chosen into his mind.
He was a little indignant.
Not selling? I don't want to buy them anymore then. I'll still take them away.
