Chapter 130 Receiving the Flying Device

The two had not been asleep for long when Kasa's voice suddenly echoed in Guo Xuyang's mind.

"Master, be careful."

Guo Xuyang quickly released Kasa. He saw a white eagle fly by, its claws clutching a giant python over twenty meters long, its waist as thick as a water bucket.

Good heavens, if he had been swallowed by that python, would he have survived? Guo Xuyang couldn't help but feel a chill of fear.

This was the first time Kasa had appeared before him in the form of an eagle.

Perhaps because it was nurtured with jade, it was entirely white and crystal clear. Its wings, when spread, spanned over fifty meters, much smaller than its original form.

It flung the python towards a large tree, then transformed into a miniature eagle, the size of the jade carving, and landed on Guo Xuyang's hand.

"Master, please put me away," Kasa's voice sounded in his mind.

It seemed that through its time spent with Yu'er, it had learned the national language.

"Receive," Guo Xuyang silently recited.

Kasa reappeared in his mind.

With such a capable subordinate, what danger should he fear in the future?

"Thank you, Kasa. If it weren't for you today, I don't know what the consequences would have been."

"You're welcome, Master. This is what I should do."

"Go ask your descendants where the aircraft landed. I'll retrieve it when I return and see if it's worth repairing. It would be convenient for you to return later, wouldn't it?"

"Yes, Master. You should rest first. I'll tell you tomorrow."

All this happened in an instant. Lü Liang was still sound asleep, completely unaware of the near-death experience they had just endured.

As dawn broke, Tim called out to the two men from beneath a tree, urging them to get up and move.

The rainforest was too dangerous; any accident could happen. Staying an extra minute meant an extra measure of danger.

The four of them found a relatively flat spot.

Tim started a fire, cooked a little food, and then used a military water canteen to boil water and fill everyone's.

"If there are no unusual circumstances today, we will not stop again. We must find the main road leading outside. We will rest only when we find it. Everyone, take your hot water with you; this is drinking water for the entire day," Tim specifically instructed them.

Although they had brought purified water when they came, the rainforest was humid, and drinking hot water was better for the body.

Tim was particularly concerned about Guo Xuyang and Lü Liang, as he didn't know their physical condition.

When the boss came, he had insisted on ensuring the safety of the two, which was why Tim was being so thoughtful.

If it were just him and Bochart, they wouldn't bother boiling water; even without water, they wouldn't worry, as the river water was drinkable.

After the instructions, he led the way and left, using his machete to clear the path ahead. Guo Xuyang and the other two followed closely behind.

This path had not been traveled for a long time.

Ever since the diamond mine began excavation, they had been traveling by water. If it weren't for the monsters causing everyone to withdraw, they wouldn't have had to go through the primitive rainforest with such difficulty.

Complaining was useless; the important thing was to return safely.

Tim led the way, occasionally taking out his compass to correct their direction.

They were getting further and further away from the river.

By noon, they could no longer see the river.

"Let's rest for a bit and eat some rations. We'll continue moving shortly."

Tim said as he walked to a relatively dry and flat area.

"We aim to find the main road before dark. That way, we'll be much safer.

There are too many large wild beasts in the rainforest. Jaguars are the most troublesome, as they can climb trees.

Other than shooting them, there's no good solution. Let's hope we don't encounter any."

As if a curse, what one fears often comes true.

Before Tim finished speaking, a peculiar sound echoed from not far away.

"Be careful. I'm afraid I was right. Everyone, get your guns ready," Tim said, taking his AK-47 off his back.

Guo Xuyang and Lü Liang each had a double-barreled shotgun, and Bochart also carried an AK-47.

The three of them held their guns tightly and quietly hid behind large trees.

A jaguar, about two meters long, crept forward from a distance. Perhaps it had smelled human scent, as it moved very quietly, stopping and starting, constantly observing.

Suddenly, its speed increased, and it lunged forward. It turned out that Bochart had deliberately exposed an arm.

Before the jaguar could pounce, Tim's gun fired. A burst of bullets, however, was dodged by the jaguar.

Before Guo Xuyang could even fire, he saw Lü Liang fire two shots in quick succession, blowing open the jaguar's skull.

As expected of someone who had served in a special forces unit, his marksmanship was excellent.

"Impressive," Tim gave Lü Liang a thumbs-up.

The few of them went over to check. The jaguar was no longer struggling; it was completely dead.

"This is good stuff; we can't waste it," Lü Liang said.

He intended to skin the leopard and take the pelt.

"Don't waste time; let's hurry and move on," Tim stopped him.

"Who knows what else we might encounter if we linger? Besides, we still have three to four days of travel ahead. Carrying even a little extra increases the danger."

Seeing Tim say this, Lü Liang had no choice but to give up.

The group skirted around the jaguar's carcass and continued forward.

Guo Xuyang, however, was not going to miss out on this good thing. After the others had moved a distance away, he silently recited "Receive" and stored the jaguar's carcass in his mind.

"Master, I've asked. You are not far from the aircraft now. It's in the middle of the river," Kasa's voice sounded in his mind.

"Alright, I know," Guo Xuyang replied.

After speaking, he released his senses, focused his gaze, and looked in the direction of the river.

The river was about four kilometers away. In the middle of the river lay a circular aircraft, like a flying saucer, about eight hundred meters in diameter and over twenty meters thick, embedded directly in the river.

Could such a large object be stored? He muttered to himself.

"Receive," he silently recited. To his surprise, the aircraft was indeed stored in his mind.

This jet-black aircraft, made of some unknown material, appeared in his mind.

This was truly incredible.

This storage ability was too powerful, he marveled.

"Hurry up and catch up, Yangzi," Lü Liang's voice called him back.

He didn't have time to examine it closely and quickly caught up.

By the time darkness fell, the four of them had arrived on a "main road" in the rainforest.

This so-called "main road" referred to a small path trodden by people.

From this point on, they could put away their machetes.

The four of them emerged from the rainforest undergrowth and were very happy. They found a clean spot, ate something, and then climbed into large trees to rest.

Perhaps because many people had traveled this road, no wild beasts attacked them at night.
