"Who are you, really? And where are the others, like Daga?" Weil's anxiety grew.
"I don't know where they went. I saw you escape, so I followed. But you still haven't told me who Xia is. Why is she so devoted to you that she'd risk her life to save you?"
Guo Xuyang was talking a mile a minute, extremely interested in this Xia. He knew that perhaps only a mother's great love could inspire such a selfless act; no other relationship could achieve it. Therefore, he was determined to understand the relationship between Xia and Weil.
"Xia and I are symbiotic. If I die, she can't live either," Weil said, glaring at Guo Xuyang.

"Her soul is a sacrifice to me. So, if I die, she dies too. In other words, by saving me, she's saving herself."

"My soul becomes more solidified. As long as it's not divine retribution, I essentially won't die."
"You mean you can possess others?"
"I'm not sure what you mean by 'possess others'," Weil said, looking at Guo Xuyang.
"It means if you were to be harmed, and your physical body was destroyed, your soul wouldn't perish. You could then be reborn by inhabiting another person's body."
"I've never done that. Xia is the first person I've taken under my wing. As for whether my soul can be reborn in another body after my physical death, I haven't tried. The risk is too great; if I can't possess someone, I'll truly be dead."
"I didn't realize you were so afraid of death," Guo Xuyang mocked.
