"In that case, I need to hurry back. I'll contact you after I'm done here," Guo Xuyang said, glancing at Lü Liang.
"There's no need to rush. We have plenty of capable personnel guarding things over there, so it'll be fine," Lü Liang said, seeing Guo Xuyang's slight anxiety.
"I'm still not at ease. How about this: I'll have the people who were protecting me earlier stay in the room next door. You can arrange for someone to wake them up when I return," Guo Xuyang suggested.
"Do you know what that place next door is?"
"Brother Liang, you should know my capabilities. This place isn't really that large for me. Oh, and on the way here, I found something interesting. It's a bit large, though. I'll contact President Jiang about it when I'm back."
"Alright then. I'm completely beaten by you. You don't need anyone to protect you at all," Lü Liang said with a smile.
"I'll head back first then. Arrange for someone to drive the car away for me later," Guo Xuyang said, walking into the adjacent room. He placed the six people protecting him on the ground and, with a pinpoint teleportation, appeared in the room next to Xiao Hong's.
"Yangzi, why are you here at this hour?" Li Xiaolu asked, seeing Guo Xuyang.
"I couldn't sleep at home, so I came over. How is it? Was Xiao Bao good today?"
"He was good. He fell asleep after eating. Sister-in-law Xiao Hong just fell asleep too."
"I'm going out for a smoke, and I'll be back in a bit," Guo Xuyang said, walking out.
"Yuanyuan, did you notice when Yangzi arrived?"
"No. What's wrong?"
"I was too busy looking at my phone and didn't notice when he came in. If he blames us, you'll have to cover for me," Li Xiaolu said.
"It's okay. Isn't Xiao Bao asleep? Your job is to look after Xiao Bao and Sister-in-law, we don't need to worry about anything else," Gao Yuan comforted her.
"This isn't ideal, though."
"Then what do you suggest? How about you offer yourself to him to gain President Guo's forgiveness?"
"What are you talking about? He has to agree to that, too."
As the two were talking, they didn't notice a nurse who had quietly entered.
"What are you doing?" Guo Xuyang walked in just then and saw the nurse bending down to pick up Xiao Bao.
"The baby is spitting up a little milk, I'm just checking," the nurse said, gently lifting Xiao Bao's head to the side and placing a towel under his head.
"Li Xiaolu, Gao Yuan, what are you two doing? Why didn't you notice Xiao Bao spitting up milk?" Guo Xuyang reprimanded them.
"It was fine just now," Li Xiaolu and Gao Yuan quickly stood up upon hearing Guo Xuyang's scolding.
"I asked you to come here to look after him, not to chat. If not, starting tomorrow, you'll each take turns for a day."
"Yangzi, I was wrong. I'm sorry," Li Xiaolu said pitiably.
"Move aside, let me see," Guo Xuyang said, pushing the nurse away. The nurse dodged, evading Guo Xuyang's hand.
This nurse is suspicious. This was Guo Xuyang's first thought. However, he didn't make a sound, instead looking at Xiao Bao. There were no signs of milk spitting from Xiao Bao's mouth; it seemed to be the nurse's excuse. As Guo Xuyang leaned forward, the nurse took out a military knife from her embrace and thrust it directly forward.
Unfortunately, she didn't feel the knife entering another's body, but rather her own. Yes, in that split second, Guo Xuyang had controlled her hand and driven the military knife fiercely into her heart.
"How... how did you discover me?" The fake nurse still couldn't quite believe it was real.
"Xiao Bao wasn't spitting up milk, was he?" Guo Xuyang said with a half-smile.
Cleverness overreached itself; she hadn't expected such an ending. It was a pity that she was now powerless. Bleeding, she gasped like a fish out of water, but had to accept the reality of being killed.
