"How is it going?"
Guo Xuyang entered the room and asked.
"We're just waiting for you. Those people are all drunk."
Guo Xuhui replied.
"What about the shops?"
"Four people are left at each shop, everyone else is here."
"It looks a bit crowded over there."
"Twelve or thirteen per table, it's about right. I wanted to sit over there too, but there are just too many people. I can only sit here. Shall we go over?"
"Let's wait a moment. I want to have a drink with Uncle and Aunt."
Guo Xuyang said, picking up the wine bottle and filling his glass.
"Uncle, Aunt, congratulations in advance. I originally wanted to invite you to my parents' table."
"It wouldn't be convenient for us to speak there. It's better here, with our family."
Uncle said, looking at the women at the table.
"Thank you for spending the money again. I feel bad."
"What are you saying, family? Isn't this what we should do?"
Uncle said.
"Exactly. We want to share in your joy. Hopefully, you'll have twins."
Aunt chimed in.
Xiao Li's expression soured upon hearing this. Her mother-in-law was good in every way, except for her excessive competitiveness.
"Aunt, this requires fate. What is meant to be will happen."
"I think she's gone a bit mad. Let's ignore her. Let's have a drink, you and I. Congratulations."
"Thank you, Uncle. I won't pour you a drink."
"Don't be so formal. You should go attend to your business."
Uncle waved his hand after finishing his drink.
"Xia Li, you and Xiao Yun go to Brother Liang's table later."
Guo Xuyang said to Xia Li as he and Brother Hui left.
"I'll go now."
Xia Li stood up.
"Where are you going?"
Xin Rui asked.
"I have something to discuss. You sit here and eat."
Xia Li said and then left.
"What's so mysterious about it?"
Xin Rui muttered.
"Distributing spoils," Ye Zi pouted.
"Distributing spoils? What's going on?"
Xin Rui didn't understand what Ye Zi was referring to.
"Don't listen to his nonsense. They're discussing the first half-year's dividends," Yu'er said to Xin Rui, glancing at Ye Zi.
"Dividends? What dividends?"
"Jade. The jade was sold, right? The first half of the year is over, it's time to tally and distribute dividends," Yu'er said.
"How much will be distributed?"
"It's hard to say. We used to distribute dividends based on investment proportions."
"I mean, how much will each person get?"
"I'm not too sure about the profits from the first half of the year. We'll know after they finish distributing."
"Who are the shareholders?"
"I'm not very clear. There's Yang Zi, Xia Li, Brother Liang, Xiao Yun, Brother Hui, Mr. Wu, Mr. Cheng, and Mr. Jiang. I can't quite remember the others."
"I didn't expect Xia Li to be a shareholder. Why aren't you?"
Xin Rui asked Yu'er.
"Me? I didn't have money at the time."
"I see," Xin Rui muttered, lowering his head, seemingly lost in thought.
Guo Xuyang was unaware that his words had planted a seed in Xin Rui's mind. He was currently toasting Guo Xuhui.
"Mr. Guo, Big Mr. Guo hasn't organized any team-building activities since you left. You should talk to him about this," a pretty senior employee said, standing up.
"Is that so? Brother Hui doesn't have any equity in this store. If he organizes team-building, he'll have to pay out of his own pocket," Guo Xuyang said with a smile.
"We can split the cost. The lamb here is too delicious."
"How do you know?"
"My friends and I came specifically to eat here. Your lamb is famous in our provincial capital."
"Really? I hadn't noticed," Guo Xuyang said.
"You're doing big business, so you wouldn't pay attention to these things."
"Miss, please don't praise me like that. I'll get proud."
"Everyone knows how great Mr. Guo's business is. If I weren't married, I would have pursued you."
"Hou Li, that's enough! I'm still here," Xiao Yun said, displeased.
"Mr. Xiao, I was just saying," Hou Li quickly replied.
