Ye Ling emerged from the parallel dimension and returned to the planet's surface. Tian Xing and A Yun immediately rushed to his side.
"Ye Ling, how did it go? Was Nuo Ying rescued?" Tian Xing asked with concern.
"Things have become a bit complicated," Ye Ling shook his head and recounted all his experiences in the other dimension to Tian Xing and A Yun.
"So, the Primordial Yan King is holding Nuo Ying and the World-Destroying Spirit Fire hostage, forcing you to rescue his true body, right?"
Tian Xing's brow furrowed after hearing Ye Ling's story.
Setting aside the inherent danger of the Overseers' base, ancient kings like the Primordial Seven Kings were also enemies of the current world. Even if Ye Ling managed to evade the Overseers' surveillance, successfully break the seal, and release the Primordial Yan King, he would be unleashing a colossal disaster upon this world. Ye Ling himself could not predict how the situation would unfold afterward.
Ye Ling sighed slightly and said, "Although releasing the Primordial Yan King isn't a particularly wise decision, Nuo Ying and the World-Destroying Spirit Fire are currently in the Primordial Yan King's hands. To save them, I have no choice but to do it."
"Fortunately, the Primordial Yan King hasn't set a strict deadline. We have ten thousand years to prepare."
Although ten thousand years sounds like a long time, for powerhouses like Ye Ling, a mere moment of cultivation could span millions or tens of millions of years. In reality, ten thousand years would be but a blink of an eye.
A Yun, however, said, "Perhaps... we don't have to rescue the Primordial Yan King."
"A Yun, do you have a way?" Hearing A Yun's words, Ye Ling was taken aback and immediately asked.
A Yun replied, "The Primordial Seven Kings each have their own territories in the Primordial Chaos. If the Primordial Yan King were to hide Nuo Ying and the World-Destroying Spirit Fire, he could only hide them within his own memories."
"The archives of the Overseers' battles against the Primordial Seven Kings are not classified. I have read this information from the Overseers."
Ye Ling's heart stirred slightly, and he quickly said to A Yun, "Meaning, you know where the Primordial Yan King might have hidden Nuo Ying and the World-Destroying Spirit Fire?"
"I can't be entirely sure, but I think it's worth a try," A Yun said. "If the Primordial Yan King truly hid Nuo Ying and the World-Destroying Spirit Fire in his territory, then we wouldn't need to risk infiltrating the main base."
"Hmm... it is indeed worth a try." Ye Ling nodded, his excitement growing. "A Yun, where is the Primordial Yan King's lair?"
When the Primordial Yan King held Ye Ling hostage with Nuo Ying and the World-Destroying Spirit Fire, he likely didn't anticipate that Ye Ling had A Yun, created by the Overseers and privy to their archives. The matter of the Primordial Seven Kings might be top-secret to the current inhabitants of the Primordial Chaos, with very few even knowing of their existence, let alone the location of their lairs. But the Overseers were different. Although the current Overseers were not the same ones who participated in the Seven Kings War, they shared the same archives. Since the Overseers had sealed the Primordial Seven Kings, they naturally knew everything about them. The Primordial Yan King's oversight of A Yun's existence provided Ye Ling with an opportunity.
"In the Primordial Yan Domain, a desolate region filled with endless chaotic fire, devoid of any living beings. Even the Overseers are unwilling to approach it," A Yun explained. "However, since you now wield the Primordial Yan King's power, the chaotic fire of the Primordial Yan Domain should have no effect on you."
"Mm..." Ye Ling nodded slightly, then asked, "But there's no concept of space in the Primordial Chaos, so we can't move normally. How should I get to the Primordial Yan Domain?"
A Yun responded, "To prevent the Primordial Seven Kings from returning, the Overseers have archived all of their domains. Periodically, Overseers patrol the Seven Kings' domains to hunt down any residual power. For convenience, the Overseers created teleportation arrays to their domains. We just need to infiltrate an Overseer's teleportation array to enter the Primordial Yan Domain."
Ye Ling then asked, "Where should I go to find a teleportation array?"
"Uh... that would require finding an Overseer," A Yun pursed her lips before continuing, "The teleportation arrays need to be activated by an Overseer. I don't have that ability... If you want to find a teleportation array, you'll need to capture an Overseer and control them using the Ink Dimension."
"But don't worry, the teleportation arrays aren't core secrets. Simply using an Overseer to open the teleportation array to the Primordial Yan Domain shouldn't cause the Overseer to self-destruct."
"Capture an Overseer..." Ye Ling murmured. "That's easier than infiltrating the Overseers' main base to destroy the seal."
Tian Xing then asked, "Where do we find an Overseer? So far, the Overseers have always found us. We don't seem to have a way to locate them."
"I have a way for that," Ye Ling replied. After receiving the Primordial Yan King's power, he had also obtained the method to reach the Overseers' main base. Since it was their main base, there would naturally be plenty of Overseers. He only needed to infiltrate the periphery and stealthily capture a lone Overseer; that shouldn't be a major issue.
Having made his decision, Ye Ling told A Yun and Tian Xing, "This operation is a bit dangerous, so I'll go alone. You two wait for me on this planet."
"Be extremely careful, don't be careless," Tian Xing did not insist on accompanying Ye Ling and advised him.
A Yun also said, "I'll stay put and guard Black City."
"Mm." Ye Ling nodded to the two women. He left a portion of his soul information and a rune imprint for his teleportation with Tian Xing. Then, using the method taught by the Primordial Yan King, he opened a spatial passage to the Overseers' main base.
Looking at the spatial passage before him, Ye Ling took a deep breath, concealed all his aura, and said to the two women, "I'm leaving now." With that, Ye Ling directly entered the spatial passage.
...
At the other end of the spatial passage, the surroundings were pitch black, filled only with endless void. In this silent darkness, a white palace, as bright as the sun, floated alone. The palace was immensely vast. Even placing the actual sun before it would only be equivalent to half a stone brick on its city wall. Around the palace, countless black mist clusters drifted, each emanating an aura far exceeding that of an ultimate expert... Each black mist cluster was equivalent to an Overseer.
Ye Ling emerged from the spatial passage and gazed at the dazzling palace in the distance, unable to help but exclaim, "Holy crap... what a magnificent palace!"
"We have many wanted criminals, but you, Ye Ling, are the first to dare come to our main base."
As Ye Ling just arrived in this space, an unfamiliar voice suddenly sounded behind him, causing his pupils to contract sharply.
"Who?"
