Seven Star Divine Fish

Chapter 212 See Who I Am Clearly

Luo Keke, though she called Lin Feng "mean," was actually delighted, secretly hoping the little bully would fall into misfortune.

Upon returning to the villa, Luo Keke intended to upload the recorded video online. However, when she tried to post it, the platform's review flagged it as too graphic and bloody, delaying approval.

"Little Linzi, what should we do? The video can't be posted!" Luo Keke sounded anxious. She had painstakingly captured footage of the crime and was frustrated that her efforts might be in vain if the culprits couldn't be brought to justice.

"That's understandable. Short video platforms have strict review processes, so it's normal for videos like this not to get through," Lin Feng replied. "Here's what you can do: give me the video, and I'll send it to the relevant authorities for them to handle the matter."

"That works, but you have to promise me you'll round up this entire organization. They're too detestable," Luo Keke declared indignantly.

"I promise," Lin Feng agreed readily. He then sent the video directly to Xia Xue, believing she was the one who would stay true to her principles and champion the people.

Just as Lin Feng predicted, upon receiving the video, Xia Xue was furious. She led her team to raid the criminal hideout, apprehending all involved. She even specifically invited a television host to livestream the arrests. This action caused quite a stir in Qingcheng.

Concurrently, Lin Feng received a call from Xia Xue.

"Lin Feng, do you have time? I'd like to treat you to dinner tonight!"

"Treat me to dinner? Are you feeling alright?" Lin Feng chuckled slyly. Xia Xue, who had previously looked down on him, was now inviting him out? Something felt off.

"You..." Xia Xue almost cursed at Lin Feng, but remembering the Dragon Head's instructions, she suppressed her irritation and tried to sound as gentle as possible. "You're overthinking it. I'm inviting you for dinner purely to thank you for your meritorious tip-off."

"Dinner is fine, but reporting criminal organizations is just what an ordinary citizen like myself should do. If you were to give me some 'three good youth' award money, I wouldn't mind!" Lin Feng said with a light smile.

Seeing Lin Feng's seemingly avaricious demeanor, Xia Xue couldn't hold back any longer. "Waterfront Garden, private room number eight. I have no money, only a meal. Come if you please!" With that, she promptly hung up.

"I'm really speechless. Is this how you invite someone to dinner? Is this a banquet of good will?" Lin Feng muttered to himself.

"Hey, Little Linzi, you're really going to eat with her? You're not allowed to go!" Luo Keke, having overheard their conversation, interjected with a hint of jealousy.

"My dearest Keke, who I have dinner with shouldn't concern you, right? Even Miss Luo doesn't interfere with my private life, so why are you managing me?" Lin Feng asked with amusement.

"Because you belong to me, Keke. I even gave you my first kiss. If you mess around with other women, it's like wearing a cuckold's hat for me, so of course, I have to manage you!" Luo Keke stated righteously.

Lin Feng was at a loss for words. "My dearest Keke, you were the one who forcibly kissed me. Besides, we're really not compatible. You should find someone else to torment. Please let me go."

"Scum! None of you men are any good. Once you've had your fill, you forget about it!"

"In any case, if you dare to go, Keke won't be polite with you!" Luo Keke's small face flushed red, feeling incredibly wronged. How was she inferior to Xia Xue that Lin Feng would say such things about her?

"I didn't plan to go originally, but I dislike being threatened. I'm going!" Lin Feng's competitive spirit flared up, and he grabbed his car keys and left. It wasn't that he was intentionally defying Luo Keke, but rather he wanted to make her give up on him by making her dislike him. To be honest, Lin Feng was well aware of Luo Keke's feelings for him. However, after much consideration, Lin Feng genuinely felt they were incompatible. This was the only way he could think of!

"Little Linzi, you're actually going! You're making me furious! I hate you, you bastard, you stinky man! Ahhh!" Luo Keke was beside herself with anger, tears welling up in her eyes. Although Lin Feng felt a pang of regret, he resolutely walked out.

He drove to the Waterfront Garden restaurant. Lin Feng immediately spotted Xia Xue's car parked outside. It seemed the "violent girl" hadn't lied; she really did want to treat him to dinner.

"Wolf Team!" As soon as Lin Feng got out of the car, Chu He rushed over with an excited expression.

"Officer Chu, are you calling me?" Lin Feng asked, feigning ignorance.

"Wolf Team, stop pretending. I already know it's you. You've been acting for so long, aren't you tired?" Chu He chuckled, wondering when his old captain had developed such excellent acting skills.

"Officer Chu, I really don't know what you're talking about. You've mistaken me for someone else!" Lin Feng stubbornly refused to admit it.

Sensing Lin Feng's reservations, Chu He smiled slyly. "Wolf Team, how about a deal? If you admit it, I'll tell you a little secret about Captain Xia."

"Admit to what? I'm really not some Wolf Team!" Lin Feng gave a dry laugh.

"Wolf Team, this is no fun. Don't you want to know why Captain Xia is inviting you to dinner?" Chu He tempted Lin Feng step by step, successfully piquing Lin Feng's curiosity.

"Why?" Lin Feng asked.

"Then admit you're my Wolf Team first. Whether you admit it or not, I already know you are," Chu He probed unhurriedly.

Lin Feng sighed, realizing he couldn't keep it a secret any longer. He finally said, "Alright, I admit it. It's your turn to speak."

"Shouldn't you have admitted it sooner? My dear old captain, you've lied to me so badly!" Chu He smiled with satisfaction and gave Lin Feng a man's embrace.

"Don't be so cheesy. Quickly tell me what's going on with your Captain Xia!" Lin Feng was eager to know Xia Xue's intentions.

Chu He didn't hide anything. He explained the Dragon Head's desire to recruit Lin Feng and incidentally mentioned the Dragon Head's instructions to Xia Xue.

"Chu He, are you saying Xia Xue wants to actively win me over?" Lin Feng asked, surprised.

"Yes, that's the Dragon Head's order. Even if Captain Xia is unwilling, she has to go through with it. And you two are indeed quite a match. You should take our Captain Xia!" Chu He said with a knowing smile, and as he smiled, a tear rolled down his cheek. He had truly missed his old captain, Lin Feng, so much.

"Alright, don't act like a woman in front of me. Don't spread the word about my identity; I don't want anyone disturbing my current life," Lin Feng patted Chu He's shoulder and instructed.

"I know, Wolf Team. You should go in quickly; our Captain Xia is waiting for you." Chu He wiped away his tears and broke into a smile.

"I'm genuinely curious how this violent girl Xia Xue plans to win me over. You go ahead; don't contact me unless it's important." Lin Feng then headed straight into the restaurant.

Arriving at private room number eight, as Xia Xue had specified, Lin Feng was stunned by her appearance upon entering. She was actually wearing a dress, and a rather revealing, low-cut one at that. What was this? A honey trap? Lin Feng was taken aback. Xia Xue, in a pink dress and with light makeup, her hair cascading down her back, had a cleavage that looked like two tightly squeezed steamed buns. Most importantly, Xia Xue was smiling at him, her smile incredibly sweet. Good heavens, was this the "female Tyrannosaurus Rex" he knew? Lin Feng momentarily suspected he'd entered the wrong room and turned to check the doorplate.

"Hey, what are you doing? You're leaving after just arriving? Do you dislike me that much?" Xia Xue yelled irritably.

"Yes, I'm in the right place. It's you!" The familiar voice and attitude confirmed to Lin Feng that the woman before him was indeed Xia Xue.

"What do you mean 'it's me'? I just changed my clothes, and you don't recognize me? Stop pretending!" Xia Xue was unhappy, feeling that Lin Feng was deliberately mocking her.
