Hearing that Lin Feng was going to the capital, Hua Yu couldn't sit still.
"You can't go to the capital!" Hua Yu stopped him coldly.
"Brother Feng, I'll leave first. You can chat with sister-in-law." Sun Xiqing realized the atmosphere was a bit off and wisely drove away in his Land Rover. He had plans to meet some young models that night and intended to have a good time.
Seeing Sun Xiqing leave, Lin Feng plated the fried steaks. "Let's talk while we eat. Where I go doesn't require your approval." Lin Feng smiled and opened a bottle of red wine that Sun Xiqing had brought.
In the courtyard as the sun began to set, Lin Feng and Hua Yu sat facing each other. Two exquisite steaks, paired with a bottle of red wine, created a somewhat romantic atmosphere.
"The reason I came to Qingcheng with you was to avoid the capital," Hua Yu said earnestly. "If you go to the capital, all my plans will be ruined. I hope you can consider that for me!"
"Miss Hua, don't you think some things are unavoidable?" Lin Feng retorted. "Do you think that by staying away from the capital, the Hua family and the Lin family will let us go? You're too naive. It makes no difference whether we're here or in the capital; the Lin and Hua families will still send people. Rather than waiting to be slaughtered, why not take the initiative!" Lin Feng raised his wine glass and gently clinked it with Hua Yu's.
"Taking the initiative? Don't you think that's like walking into a trap?" Hua Yu asked incredulously. "To fight the Lin family and the Hua family, you need the strength for it first, don't you?" Hua Yu found it amusing; while Lin Feng's words sounded reasonable, they were actually quite childish.
"I'll improve my strength as soon as possible; that's not for you to worry about," Lin Feng stated. "What you need to worry about is supporting your husband. Wherever I go, you follow." Lin Feng took a bite of the steak. "This tastes good. Eat it while it's hot."
"Going to the capital is just one of my plans. I'll let you know in advance when I decide to go," Hua Yu said, changing the subject. She started eating her steak and drinking her wine. Seemingly unable to handle the alcohol, Hua Yu's fair face flushed with two rosy hues after just one glass of red wine.
"Lin Feng, we have no feelings for each other. You don't need to go to the capital for me," Hua Yu reminded him, her voice laced with a hint of drunkenness. "After we finish this act, I'll help you resolve all your troubles. Until then, please don't cause trouble."
"It has nothing to do with you. You're unhappy with the Hua family, and I have some personal grudges with the Lin family," Lin Feng replied seriously. "Everything I do is for myself." He genuinely wasn't doing it for Hua Yu; their relationship hadn't reached that level.
"Alright, it's good that it's not for me. We are only temporary spouses. From now on, we'll mind our own business," Hua Yu smiled, her flushed face appearing somewhat charming.
"You've had a bit too much to drink. Let me take you for a walk to sober you up," Lin Feng said, seeing Hua Yu's eyes becoming hazy. He stood up and led her outside.
"Lin Feng, it's really beautiful here. I truly love this place," Hua Yu said softly, embracing nature with open arms. "It's quiet, free from family worries, a world that belongs only to me. I wish time could stop and stay like this forever." As she spoke, she suddenly sat down on the ground, leaning against a large tree with a dreamy look in her eyes, staring blankly at the sunset.
"Hey, if you're too drunk, I'll take you back to rest," Lin Feng said, noticing Hua Yu's unusual state and showing concern.
"I'm not drunk. I'm just happy. You, you're a puppy!" Hua Yu pointed at Lin Feng and then giggled foolishly.
"I'm a puppy? Why am I a puppy?" Lin Feng was bewildered. Even if the woman was drunk, she shouldn't call him a dog.
"Didn't you say that a wife follows her husband like a chick follows a hen, or a dog follows its owner? Since I'm married to you, doesn't that make you a puppy?" Hua Yu's logic was quite sound.
"Alright, I'm a dog. Whatever you say goes. I'll take you back to rest first," Lin Feng said, seeing that Hua Yu could barely keep her eyes open. He had no choice but to pick her up from the ground.
When his large hands touched Hua Yu's delicate, boneless waist, Lin Feng trembled. "Oh Hua Yu, you're going to make me commit a crime!" Lin Feng chuckled, inhaling the faint fragrance emanating from the woman, finding it hard to resist.
He carried Hua Yu to the bed on the second floor, and she had already fallen asleep. He covered her with a blanket and then went to the courtyard to cultivate. During his cultivation, a new prompt appeared in his mind. It depicted a sword, a fiery red sword. The characters "Cang Long" were engraved on the sword's body. Clearly, the key to activating the fourth skill was this sword named Cang Long.
Realizing that a new prompt had appeared, Lin Feng immediately sent a WeChat message to Lu Jingzhe, asking him to come find him. Lu Jingzhe, naturally, did not delay and soon arrived at the small building.
"What's wrong? You suddenly called me, is something the matter?" Lu Jingzhe knew that Lin Feng wouldn't ask for him without a reason.
"Help me look up a sword called Cang Long. See if there's any information about it online," Lin Feng said, knowing that Lu Jingzhe was good with computers. Lu Jingzhe didn't waste time and took out his laptop to start searching.
"There's no sword like the one you mentioned. But you can describe its appearance to me, and I'll try to search for information," Lu Jingzhe said with a smile. Lin Feng closed his eyes and gave Lu Jingzhe a general description of the Cang Long sword.
"The sword you're describing is likely from the Tang Dynasty. Tang Dynasty swordsmiths liked to forge swords in the shape you mentioned," Lu Jingzhe explained. "Also, Li Chunfeng of the Tang Dynasty once collected a sword. See if this is what it looks like." Lu Jingzhe showed Lin Feng the laptop screen. Lin Feng glanced at it and felt it was somewhat similar, but not exactly the same.
"Then there's nothing else I can do for now. I need to research more. I'll let you know when I find something," Lu Jingzhe stated.
"No rush. You haven't eaten yet, have you? I have some fresh wagyu beef here. I'll fry you a steak," Lin Feng said, and then began to fry a steak for Lu Jingzhe.
"Lin Feng, why don't I see Hua Yu? Is she in the room?" Lu Jingzhe was curious about how Hua Yu had been getting along with Lin Feng during this time. The other girls were also curious, but without Lin Feng's signal, they wouldn't dare to disturb them.
"She drank too much and is sleeping in the room. Don't worry about her. She and I are just roommates," Lin Feng replied with a smile.
"Roommates? Are you sure you have no feelings for her?" Lu Jingzhe asked, not quite believing him. "She's very beautiful, the type that all men like? Lin Feng is so lustful; how could he resist such a stunning beauty like Hua Yu?"
"Hey, have some faith in your man, okay? Am I short of women right now?" Lin Feng gave Lu Jingzhe a look.
"That's true. If Hua Yu agreed to be with you, you wouldn't be coming to find us late at night to play cards," Lu Jingzhe smiled, leaning on Lin Feng's shoulder and quietly watching him fry the steak.
"After you finish your steak and regain some strength, we'll play cards properly," Lin Feng gave Lu Jingzhe a meaningful glance. Lu Jingzhe was taken aback. "Here? Aren't you afraid your roommate will walk in?"
