Master Cang's Sword God

Chapter 955: The Six Treasured Lands of the Ruins

TL: Etude

After entering the trial space, Ye Tian noticed that the figure of True Monarch Dragon Sea had disappeared. Although he could still vaguely sense True Monarch Dragon Sea’s presence, he could not contact, observe, or interact with him, as if the two of them were now in different dimensions.

Ye Tian didn’t dwell on this. Instead, he focused on the incomplete body refining secret technique transmitted to him from the damaged stone stele.

“Huh, this incomplete body refining technique isn’t simple at all!” Ye Tian exclaimed in surprise.

The technique was called the Boulder True Body Technique. While its tier wasn’t high and it couldn’t compare to his Profound Void Technique, it seemed to belong to an entirely different system of chaos body refining techniques, unlike any he had encountered before.

Moreover, it was incredibly difficult to memorize. If one failed to master it, it couldn’t be passed down, nor could it be recorded.

Clearly, the Boulder True Body Technique hinted at some trace of a forbidden body refining technique, which gave it such unique properties.

“If I can complete the Boulder True Body Technique and fully master it, only then will I truly possess this technique. Otherwise, it will soon fade from my memory, and I won’t even be able to pass it on to others.

Even if it is successfully cultivated, modifications will still be necessary before it can be transmitted through consciousness to another person. But doing so will require a price to be paid.

Essentially, this chaos body refining technique is meant for personal use only.

Alternatively, it could be passed down by creating… a stone stele, just like this one,” Ye Tian murmured to himself.

“Super Enlightenment Talent, activate!”

With the activation of his Super Enlightenment Talent, Ye Tian’s comprehension surged to a terrifying level. He then began to comprehend the Boulder True Body Technique.

Only by fully understanding the technique would he be able to perfect this incomplete chaos body refining technique.

Furthermore, obtaining such a technique presented a valuable opportunity. If he could refine and improve it, it might lead to the creation of a chaos body refining technique that would be suitable for the continuous inheritance of the human race, greatly benefiting its development.

Currently, the chaos body refining techniques cultivated by humans were relatively mediocre. Ye Tian couldn’t pass down the Profound Void Technique either, as that would violate the rules of the Void Sky lineage.

This time, however, he had the chance to acquire numerous chaos body refining techniques, and none of them were ordinary.

As time passed, many True Monarchs—apart from a few such as Ye Tian—chose to abandon the task of perfecting the chaos body refining techniques and left one after another.

For most True Monarchs, perfecting such techniques was too time-consuming, and the rewards weren’t particularly enticing. Exploring other areas seemed more promising and might yield unexpected rewards.

Ye Tian had considered visiting other places as well, but he wasn’t lacking in resources at the moment. The legacy of the damaged stone stele was valuable to him, though it would require a lot of time to comprehend.

However, spending time on a profound inheritance with immense potential was well worth the effort.

Ye Tian was confident that once he achieved a breakthrough, the stone stele would reveal a chaos body refining technique comparable to, or even superior to, the Profound Void Technique.

Although the strength of the Sky Ape Sect couldn’t compare to the Void Sky lineage and didn’t even reach the level of a Dao Ancestor, it was still a sect of the Domain Realm. Therefore, it carried the legacy of the Domain Realm, which to some extent surpassed that of the Void Sky lineage.

A sect’s legacy couldn’t be judged solely by its strength but also by the environment it operated within.

The True Ancestors continued to observe the ruins, but their perception was limited to the general architecture. They couldn’t perceive what lay within the damaged stone stele.

Even when the Dao Ancestors projected their consciousness into this place, they only took a brief look at the Sky Ape Sect. Once they confirmed that it was merely a True Ancestor-level sect, they lost interest.

Had they taken the time to investigate more thoroughly, they might have uncovered something worthwhile.

As time passed, the various structures within the ruins were gradually broken through by the True Monarchs. Some fortunate individuals even obtained an unclaimed True Monarch puppet—a treasure more valuable than a top-tier half-Dao artifact. Selling such a puppet to the True Ancestors would undoubtedly yield a massive profit.

Some also obtained inheritances, though most were from True Monarchs and not particularly valuable.

After several decades, nearly all the buildings within the ruins had been explored. Among them, six locations stood out as the most valuable.

1. The Scripture Pavilion:

This pavilion housed numerous precious texts. However, half of it had been destroyed, with the highest floor—the one containing the most advanced tomes—completely ruined. The remaining texts only included knowledge pertaining to Heavenly Monarchs, True Monarchs, and a limited number of True Ancestors.

Although part of the pavilion’s formations remained intact, they weren’t particularly powerful. However, obtaining any texts required browsing them one by one, which consumed a great deal of time.

2. The True Time Pagoda:

This structure was relatively well-preserved, allowing anyone to enter for cultivation. Inside, cultivators could activate a time-acceleration formation by consuming energy, with the highest setting offering ten thousand times time acceleration.

Such acceleration was extraordinary. Even Ye Tian could not achieve such a level on his own without immense divine power consumption, which also made it difficult to concentrate.

However, cultivating within the pagoda eliminated these concerns. As long as cultivators stored sufficient resources in the energy core of the time formation, the formation could run smoothly without further management.

Once the True Time Pagoda was discovered, many True Monarchs entered to cultivate, eager to grow stronger as quickly as possible.

3. The Damaged Stone Stele:

This was the location where Ye Tian currently resided. However, very few True Monarchs had chosen to enter this area.

4. The Forest of Heaven and Earth:

This area was a stone forest filled with countless natural formations, all of which followed a brand-new formation system. For True Monarchs who specialized in formations, this place was a treasure trove. Many of them remained within the forest, immersing themselves in the study of these new formations.

5. The Trial Space for True Disciple Candidates:

Though this space was heavily damaged, with many of its trials missing, it was the only location where one could obtain a True Disciple Token.

Initially, this trial space didn’t attract much attention. However, that changed when a ranked True Monarch managed to obtain a True Disciple Token from within. This allowed them access to the sixth treasured land, the True Inheritance Hall.

6. The True Inheritance Hall:

This building became the center of attention after news spread of the True Monarch who entered it using the True Disciple Token. The hall remained the only structure in the ruins that had yet to be breached. Even though its protective formation was partially broken, its power far exceeded the capabilities of the True Monarchs.

The True Monarch who emerged from the True Inheritance Hall had obtained a complete inheritance—a powerful legacy that allowed cultivation to reach the pinnacle of the True Ancestor realm. Such a legacy was immensely valuable, comparable to an ordinary Dao artifact.

With a treasure of this caliber at stake, no one could ignore the hall.

However, none of these events concerned Ye Tian. He had remained within the trial space of the damaged stone stele, and he had already completed the first layer of the trial, perfecting the Boulder True Body Technique.
