One night passed, and Lan Yan did not wake up. Jun Yelan grew increasingly gaunt. Coupled with his previous injuries, he was extremely weak.
He was no longer the ancient demonic beast he once was, but a creature that even a minor demon could defeat.
The wolf demon, hearing sounds at the door, entered and was moved by the sight. He knew Jun Yelan had feelings for Lan Yan, but he never imagined they ran so deep.
Tears welled up in his eyes, and he went to call the shaman. "Shaman, if you can't save my boss, I'll burn down your house."
The shaman looked troubled and went into the room where Lan Yan was being treated. He saw the horns and wings that had appeared on Jun Yelan due to his weakness and said, "This young lady is, after all, human. Her injuries are irreversible and difficult to heal."
"However, if she could have a top-tier cultivation item, she might awaken."
Jun Yelan's dim eyes brightened. "What is it? No matter where it is, I will retrieve it." He tightly gripped Lan Yan's hand, pressing it to his chin.
The shaman hesitated, then spoke.
Wolf Fang was so anxious he wanted to hit someone. "Just say it!"
The shaman then exclaimed, "It is the horn of His Highness Jun. For cultivators, it is an excellent item to increase cultivation."
Wolf Fang was stunned. To have a horn removed was a bone-gnawing pain. He looked at Jun Yelan in disbelief.
Jun Yelan did not hesitate at all. He reached for the single horn remaining on his head. He squeezed the horn hard, gritted his teeth, endured immense pain, and forcefully removed it.
Blood immediately flowed from his head, down his cheeks, making him look like a ghost.
Jun Yelan, however, smiled. "Yan'er, this horn was left because of you. It's good that it can now be used on you." He held the bloody horn, looking at Lan Yan with a smile.
He then handed the horn to the shaman, asking him to process it.
The shaman held the horn with both hands, feeling deeply moved. He would do his utmost to save this young lady; she was Jun Yelan's beloved.
The wolf demon followed to help, unable to bear staying there any longer.
Only Jun Yelan was left to guard Lan Yan. He took out a handkerchief to wipe his cheeks, afraid Lan Yan would worry if she saw him in this state upon waking.
He tossed the handkerchief into a basin of water, which immediately turned into bloody water. But he didn't care, continuing to stay by Lan Yan's side, a smile on his pale face.
"Yan'er, we have arrived at the wolf tribe. Besides mountains, there are flowers here. Your favorite flowers, your favorite dresses, your favorite pastries, everything is here. So you must wake up."
As he spoke, a tear fell from the corner of his eye.
When the shaman arrived and saw this, he advised, "Your Highness Jun, please go and rest. She will be fine." He ground the horn into powder and gave it to Lan Yan, who would awaken soon.
But Jun Yelan refused to leave.
The wolf demon said, "Jun Yelan, you don't want her to be scared when she wakes up, do you? You look terrible right now." He then shrunk his neck, having done his best for his boss.
Jun Yelan gave the wolf demon a cold look, then stood up and walked outside. "Where is the water pool here?" He wanted to take a bath and then prepare various wonderful things for Lan Yan.
Seeing this, the wolf demon quickly followed Jun Yelan, leading the way. He had finally managed to persuade the great demon beast!
So Lan Yan was left alone in the room. She was truly exhausted this time, sleeping for a full day before opening her eyes. She tried to move her neck and wrists and found there was no pain.
When she was in the abyss, she had been holding on, but now she was fine. A smile formed on her lips as she sat up and looked at the unfamiliar room.
"This must be the wolf tribe." She walked to the cave entrance and looked at the wolf tribesmen's ears, knowing she was right. "But where is Jun Yelan?"
With a clatter, something fell to the ground nearby. Lan Yan turned her head and saw Jun Yelan. She smiled, "Jun..." The next moment, she was embraced fiercely by the person before her and was slightly stunned.
Jun Yelan held Lan Yan tightly, tears streaming down his face. "Yan'er, you're alright now."
Lan Yan stroked Jun Yelan's back, thinking she had only slept for a day. "Yelan, I'm fine. But you, have your injuries healed?"
She knew Jun Yelan was more severely injured than she was.
Jun Yelan curled his lips. "Everything is healed." His heart was healed, and he no longer had to be afraid.
Lan Yan felt something was not quite right, especially Jun Yelan's demeanor. He had been trembling when he held her just now. She lifted her head from Jun Yelan's embrace, touched his face, and asked worriedly, "Yelan, you're not lying to me, are you?"
"Yan'er, I have never lied to you." Jun Yelan placed his hands on Lan Yan's, a wild smile on his lips. As long as Lan Yan was awake, his world would become bright again and filled with smiles.
Lan Yan's cheeks blushed. She was asking about his health, why was she blushing!
Jun Yelan took Lan Yan's hand and led her into the room. "Yan'er, I found many things in the wolf tribe, thinking you would like them." He presented a pile of items, including food, clothing, and a small blue flower.
Lan Yan was amused and touched. "Yelan, you went and collected these while I was asleep." Her eyes reddened, and she didn't know why, but she felt like crying.
She threw herself into Jun Yelan's arms, desperately holding back her tears, and cried out, "Yelan, let's eat together."
Afterward, the two ate pastries together, their eyes filled with smiles, with a small flower swaying beside them.
After eating, Lan Yan leaned on Jun Yelan's shoulder and looked at the moonlight outside the window, wondering, "Yelan, did nothing happen yesterday while I was sleeping?"
"Yan'er, everything is fine." Jun Yelan put his arm around Lan Yan's waist, a smile always on his lips. He didn't want Lan Yan to worry about these things anymore; as long as Lan Yan was well, it was enough.
Lan Yan nodded hesitantly. Since Jun Yelan wasn't saying anything, she would ask someone else tomorrow. She clasped Jun Yelan's hand, their fingers interlacing, her eyes curving into a smile.
Fortunately, she and Jun Yelan had survived the abyss. The demon realm and the cultivation world had suffered greatly, and they should not be disturbed for a while. "Yelan, let's stay here a bit longer."
"Okay," Jun Yelan agreed with a smile, hiding the depth in his eyes. He also wanted to spend time like this with Lan Yan; here, he could temporarily forget those unpleasant matters.
Listening to Jun Yelan's response, the smile on Lan Yan's lips deepened.
The night quieted, and Lan Yan fell asleep.
Jun Yelan, however, got up and went outside the cave, spitting out a mouthful of blood. He wiped his mouth, looked at the blood on the back of his hand, and knew his body was completely failing.
He had already lost one horn, and after the battle in the abyss, removing another horn now had severely drained his vitality.
He was currently unable to protect Lan Yan and needed to cultivate quickly. He cast a deep look into the room and left.
