Chapter 2 First Approach

The room was left with only the two of them. Lan Yan walked over, reaching out to help Jun Yelan up. However, she found that Jun Yelan had no good flesh anywhere on his body and only dared to gently grasp his arm.

But the moment her hand got close, the person on the ground opened his eyes. Those eyes were filled with hatred, but it was fleeting, and then returned to a cold expression.

He struggled to get up, his wounds tearing open, causing another wave of piercing pain. He propped up his upper body, moved to the side, and away from Lan Yan in front of him.

His lips, having not touched water for too long, were covered in a layer of cracked dead skin. He slightly parted his lips but made no sound. He then stared intently at Lan Yan's movements.

Lan Yan froze in place, but then she thought, the original host had hurt him so much before, it was normal for him to avoid her now.

Looking at Jun Yelan's current state, he should have been a favored son of heaven, but now he had fallen into such misery. A trace of sympathy couldn't help but appear in her eyes.

However, this trace of sympathy fell into Jun Yelan's eyes with confusion. Lan Yan was a bit different today. But he didn't show it. Who knew what Lan Yan was planning now!

If he could escape and recover his martial arts, he would kill this woman who tormented him first!

Seeing that Jun Yelan remained silent, Lan Yan thought he was afraid of her and said, "Don't be afraid, I won't hurt you." She noticed a flicker of disdain in Jun Yelan's eyes and said awkwardly, "I know you don't believe me now, but I will prove it with my actions."

Seeing that Jun Yelan had no reaction, she sighed inwardly, knowing this mission was as difficult as ascending to heaven.

At this moment, there was a knock on the door, and a maidservant brought in water, standing respectfully to the side.

Lan Yan then said, "You can go out now, I'm fine here alone." She looked at Jun Yelan with a smile. Of course, she had to take this opportunity to improve her favorability herself.

"You have wounds, first clean them, then apply the medicine."

Jun Yelan's pupils trembled slightly, unsure if Lan Yan was telling the truth. However, his body was indeed very uncomfortable and weak.

Lan Yan thought Jun Yelan couldn't stand up, so she stepped forward. This time, Jun Yelan still dodged. She shook her head helplessly and said sincerely, "I just want to help you."

Seeing that Jun Yelan no longer refused, she stepped forward with a smile and helped Jun Yelan into the bathtub. During this process, she saw that his snake tail not only had whip marks but also deep brands.

Jun Yelan followed Lan Yan's gaze and naturally saw it. He bit his lip; the brand was a lifelong shame for him. He closed his eyes, immersing himself in the water to clean the dirt from his body.

Lan Yan remained standing by the side, originally worried that Jun Yelan might have an accident. However, after Jun Yelan finished cleaning, she was stunned.

Jun Yelan's features were exquisite and well-defined, carrying a stern coldness. His eyes were incredibly deep, as if one more glance would trap you within them. His lips were unusually vibrant red, as if stained with blood.

She looked down his face, seeing Jun Yelan's collarbones and chest. Looking further down, she shifted her gaze, her ears blushing.

No, this was her mission target; she couldn't be attracted by his beauty!

Jun Yelan couldn't help but notice the way she was staring at him. A cold glint flashed in his eyes. He knew this woman had ulterior motives. He didn't want to continue washing and braced himself on the edge of the bathtub, preparing to get out.

However, after being tormented for so long, he no longer had enough strength. As he was getting out, he stumbled towards the ground.

"Oh dear." Lan Yan quickly stepped forward to support Jun Yelan. But there was water by the bathtub, and she slipped, causing both herself and Jun Yelan to fall to the ground. She looked at the person beneath her and asked, "Are you alright?"

Jun Yelan's face turned red with anger, and he said furiously, "Move aside." His gaze drifted to his waist.

Lan Yan also looked and then realized her hand was on Jun Yelan's waist, giving her the feeling of taking advantage of him. She raised her head, saw Jun Yelan's murderous glare, and quickly exclaimed, "No, it's a misunderstanding!"
