Chapter 262 No Way With Her

Lan Yan took out the spiritual herbs from the bag and applied them to Jun Yelan's horn. She tried to move as gently as possible, looking at the horn that was already broken in half, and tears fell uncontrollably.

She wiped them with the back of her hand, but tears streamed down her cheeks.

With a soft plop, they landed on Jun Yelan's palm. He looked at the wet spot on his palm, his eyes showing confusion. Was this human tears!

Demon beasts did not shed tears. This was his first encounter with tears. Unlike his cold palm, the tears seemed to have a warmth that almost burned him.

He felt a pang in his heart.

Lan Yan, not noticing Jun Yelan's change, bandaged him and then sat on the ground. Her back rested against the wall, and she murmured, "Jun Yelan, I finally understand why you hate cultivators so much. I hate them now too."

Clearly, demon beasts also felt pain, but these cultivators acted as if they knew nothing.

Jun Yelan looked down at Lan Yan, sensing sadness from her. In his impression, Lan Yan always smiled at him. Seeing her in this state made him feel concerned.

"Cultivators have always been like this, destroying our demon beast homes and forcibly taking parts from our bodies." He didn't use the term "you cultivators," feeling that the person in front of him was somewhat different.

Lan Yan sighed, "Although I didn't do it, I still want to apologize to you."

"No need," Jun Yelan blurted out.

Lan Yan smiled, "Jun Yelan, you are truly different from others. You don't think that way but your mouth is still sharp. I'm used to it, as long as you don't chase me away now."

She had finally found a breakthrough and couldn't waste it.

Jun Yelan remembered his current relationship with Lan Yan and wanted to ask her to leave, but Lan Yan had already closed her eyes, looking very tired. In the end, he said nothing and stayed put.

Suddenly, something leaned against his leg. He looked down to see Lan Yan's head, which made him even more helpless.

Lan Yan leaned against Jun Yelan, relaxing her body, and dreams began to surface in her mind. In her dreams, she saw Jun Yelan, but they were all scenes of him suffering and enduring hardship. She couldn't help but murmur, "Jun Yelan, don't."

Hearing his name, Jun Yelan looked at Lan Yan. Seeing her frown, was she having a nightmare! Was he in that nightmare?

He tugged at the chain and sat down. Seeing Lan Yan about to fall, he reached out and supported her shoulder. He was taken aback, confused by his own actions. He looked down and saw the wound on Lan Yan's hand.

Unfortunately, Lan Yan was already fast asleep and showed no signs of waking up.

Jun Yelan gripped Lan Yan's wrist and activated his palm, watching the bloodstains on her hand disappear. "Now I don't owe you anymore." If it weren't for Lan Yan just now, his horn would have been taken. He had to repay this favor.

He moved to the side, but Lan Yan moved with him. "You!" Seeing Lan Yan's eyes tightly closed, he helplessly stopped, letting Lan Yan lean against him.

It was strange; he always felt helpless when he encountered this person.

Lan Yan felt a familiar presence, and the nightmares in her mind gradually stopped. She calmed down completely.

A night passed. Lan Yan woke up to find herself lying on the ground. She got up and stretched. "I slept so comfortably." After saying that, she saw Jun Yelan staring at her and awkwardly greeted him.

"Good morning, Jun Yelan."

Jun Yelan ignored her. He had been leaned on by her all night, and his body was now a bit stiff. "Aren't you leaving yet? I don't have anything here."

"How could that be? There's a stunning demon beast here." Lan Yan raised an eyebrow. Glancing at Jun Yelan's slightly red ear tips, she realized Jun Yelan was shy.

She chuckled to herself, worried that Jun Yelan might get angry later. She waved and said, "I'm leaving now. Rest well, and I'll come to see you later." She walked towards the cave entrance.

Jun Yelan didn't respond but felt a little flicker of expectation in his heart. He thought he must be crazy!

Lan Yan went to the kitchen, bought some ingredients, and stewed a nourishing soup. Jun Yelan had lost so much blood yesterday; he definitely needed to replenish himself. This soup was just right.

She added some more tonic herbs and looked at the thick soup, nodding with satisfaction.

Everyone in the kitchen smelled the aroma and looked troubled, saying, "Miss Lan, don't you think it's a bit too much?"

"Not at all," Lan Yan felt it was still not enough, but she had no spirit stones left. Otherwise, she would buy some more.

The crowd was speechless.

Lan Yan looked at the thick soup, "Hmm, it's almost ready." She portioned it into a large bowl, placed it in a food container, and cheerfully walked out, casually grabbing a radish to gnaw on.

The people in the kitchen muttered, "Good heavens, that nourishing soup is for Miss Lan to give to someone. Won't that person be in trouble?"

"Probably not!" They held a sliver of sympathy for that person, as they themselves couldn't bear to watch the process.

Lan Yan happily arrived at the cave, opened the food container, and said, "Jun Yelan, haha, didn't expect me to come again, did you? Drink this."

"What is this?" Jun Yelan smelled the aroma and felt extremely uncomfortable. He wanted to escape but couldn't.

Lan Yan smiled, "Ten-ingredient nourishing soup." She held the large bowl to Jun Yelan's mouth, looking at him expectantly.

Jun Yelan: "..." He didn't want to drink it. "I'm not hungry."

"Drink a little," Lan Yan blinked, her smile deepening at the corners of her mouth.

Seeing this, Jun Yelan closed his eyes and brought his mouth to the bowl. He took a sip, and his stomach felt like it was burning. He almost couldn't help but spit it out. This bowl of soup was simply a nemesis to their demon beast kind.

He looked at the radish in Lan Yan's hand and exclaimed, "I don't want to drink soup today, I want to eat radish."

Lan Yan saw Jun Yelan staring intently at the radish, thinking how much he wanted to eat it, so she gave it to him.

Jun Yelan quickly finished the radish and said, "I'm full. Take this soup back." After saying that, he closed his eyes, fearing Lan Yan would make him drink it again.

"Alright." Lan Yan reluctantly put the bowl back into the container and walked outside.

Jun Yelan, behind her, opened his eyes and breathed a sigh of relief.

Lan Yan walked in the courtyard and saw Lin Qian. She called out, "Junior Brother, you're in for a treat. Sister made this soup herself, for you to drink."

"Really, Senior Sister!" Lin Qian became excited. He took the food container and saw a large bowl of soup inside. When he smelled it, it seemed a bit strange.

But this was specially made by his Senior Sister, so he had to support her. He lifted the bowl and took a big gulp, only to spit it out immediately. "What is this stuff? It's too weird."

He spat for a long time, feeling the taste still lingering in his mouth.

Lan Yan looked at the bowl and muttered, "Strange, Jun Yelan ate it quite well just now. Could it be that only demon beasts can tolerate this taste? Alright, Junior Brother, it seems you're not suited for it."

She nodded at Lin Qian and left with the food container.

Lin Qian stood there stunned, muttering, "What does Senior Sister mean by that!" He felt inferior to a demon beast and was heartbroken.

Alas, it seemed his Senior Sister was becoming more and more concerned about demon beasts.
