Chapter 1103 Unspoken Assumption, Most Deadly!

The lounge.

Chang Yu brought Su Yu and Lin Yanyu in.

There weren't many people inside, only five in total including Louis.

And judging by their ages, they all had white hair.

These five individuals were undoubtedly the crème de la crème of the Blue Star art scene.

Each of their paintings started at an eight-figure price.

At this moment, a white-haired elder in a suit was diligently painting something.

Louis and the other three were sitting nearby, watching.

Sensing someone had entered, Louis turned around and a smile curved his lips upon seeing Su Yu, "Tingyu, come over here quickly."

Perhaps afraid of disturbing the elder's creation, he deliberately lowered his voice.

"Master Louis," Su Yu also greeted him softly.

Then, he turned his gaze towards the person painting.

It was a surrealist-style painting of a fish in water. The work was more than half-finished. Beside it were three completed paintings – a crab and a turtle, all aquatic creatures. The painting styles were different, likely belonging to the other three artists.

"This is Milo, the representative of the Surrealist movement," Louis introduced Su Yu.

Milo, with a pipe clenched between his teeth, lightly touched the canvas with his brush, exuding an aura of having been immersed in art for many years.

"Haha, his idol is Magritte of the Surrealist movement, so he's always puffing on that pipe and putting on a show," Louis whispered playfully in Su Yu's ear.

Then he introduced the other three.

They were all representative figures of various art movements.

Judging by the setup and the cameras, they were likely participating in an academic exchange, and it was being live-streamed. Therefore, the other three merely smiled at Su Yu before shifting their attention back to Milo.

"Will it disturb them?" Su Yu asked.

"It's fine, he's almost finished," Louis replied softly.

Su Yu's arrival also caught the attention of the livestream audience.

"Isn't that Tingyu?"

"He's actually here?"

"Tingyu is attending an exchange between several master painters!"

"Although his status in the music industry is similar to these masters, they are not in the same circle, so recognition is much lower. I'm quite surprised to see Tingyu at such an exchange."

"It seems Tingyu has wide connections."

"I guess Louis brought him, after all, his piano skills greatly impressed Master Louis at the gala before."

Su Yu's fame on Blue Star was already immense.

Even though most of the livestream viewers were from the art community, many still recognized him.

"Haha, everyone, what do you think of my fish?"

Just then, the painter named Milo, pipe in mouth, put down his brush and looked up at everyone.

"Mr. Milo is truly a master painter of the Surrealist style. Both his technique and artistic conception are astonishing!"

One elder watched intently and then commented.

"Milo's painting already has that Magritte-esque feel,"

Another person said with a smile.

"If you praise me any more, I'll surpass Magritte," Milo replied gruffly.

Although he was a master in his field, he knew there was still a slight gap between him and those world-renowned painters.

"Haha, today it's all about your mutual flattery," Louis chuckled, teasing them.

At this point, the painters finally turned their attention to Su Yu.

"And this is?" Milo asked, glancing at Su Yu and Lin Yanyu beside Louis with curiosity.

"You can call him Tingyu, the most accomplished producer in the Blue Star music scene. This is his wife, Lin Yanyu," Louis introduced with a smile.

"Oh?" Milo raised an eyebrow. "So young?"

He rarely paid attention to popular music, at most listening to piano pieces. Therefore, he was somewhat surprised that Su Yu, at such a young age, was the most accomplished producer on Blue Star.

However, out of trust for Louis, he did not question Su Yu's identity.

"Master Louis is too kind. I'm just an ordinary producer, not the most accomplished," Su Yu said with a slight tug at the corner of his mouth, humbly.

"It's a pleasure to meet you all." Milo wasn't particularly concerned about Su Yu's identity, but since he was introduced by his old friend Louis, his attitude was very cordial.

The other painters were the same. Since they were brought by Louis, even if they didn't know Su Yu, their attitudes were very pleasant towards him.

"So, is that all for today's exchange?" Milo clapped his hands and said.

"Didn't Louis want to paint something? He hasn't started yet," one painter said, looking at Louis with a smile.

"I'm just a pianist, I shouldn't come here to make a fool of myself..." Louis shook his head with a wry smile.

"After so many years as old friends, I don't know your skill level?" Milo also chimed in, "Your skills are considered top-tier in the industry."

"In that case, I'll give it a try..." Louis saw that he couldn't decline and stopped pushing back.

The staff had already replaced the paper with a new sheet.

Louis sat in front of the easel and began to paint with focus.

The theme of this exchange was fish and shrimp, and Louis chose to paint a fish as well.

"Little brother Tingyu, you're attending a painting exhibition, are you also a lover of art?" Milo chatted with Su Yu while waiting.

Su Yu was slightly taken aback. He was about to say that he didn't know anything and just wanted to buy a painting for his father-in-law.

However, he felt it would be impolite to say that to the masters, so he quickly replied with a smile, "It's just a hobby."

"If Louis can bring you to a painting exchange, it means you're not an amateur. You can paint too, right?" Milo said with a smile.

He didn't bring me here...

I just came to say hello to Louis.

I'm not here to participate in your exchange.

Su Yu complained inwardly.

He glanced at Chang Yu, who had brought him.

The latter was already standing behind Louis, watching him paint with great interest, completely oblivious to Su Yu's awkwardness.

This is too irresponsible.

Bringing me to a gathering of big shots and then abandoning me?

"Ahem... I know a little, just amateur level." Su Yu said politely.

"It doesn't matter, every master started from an amateur level. Louis and I are old friends, and I can tell his attitude towards you is even better than towards his own disciples. You should give it a try later. We old guys can point out your shortcomings, and if you focus on training, you'll definitely improve," Milo said with a faint smile, his tone full of encouragement.

"Ah, this..." Su Yu's forehead was covered in black lines, unsure of what to do. "There's no need, right?"

Lin Yanyu, standing beside Su Yu, almost couldn't suppress her laughter at his awkwardness.

This Master Milo had completely misunderstood, thinking that Su Yu was brought by Louis and wanted some pointers on painting.

But Milo didn't know that Su Yu couldn't paint at all.

However, he was genuinely kind.

For any other painter, the opportunity for guidance from such a master would be met with immense joy.

"It's okay, don't be nervous. Just treat it as painting for fun," Milo said, patting Su Yu's shoulder.

"Uh... alright then."

Alas... unspoken assumptions are the most fatal.

The other party was also being kind, and it would be inappropriate to refuse any further.

...
