Bai Han greeted Chen Yi with a self-satisfied air as they shook hands. "Dr. Chen, hello."
The handshake made Chen Yi's emotions surge, his heart rate spiking to 120. "Mr. Bai, how about this, I invite both of you to dinner?"
Although he didn't know why these two important figures were interested in meeting him, it was an opportunity to get to know prominent families. He felt he had to be enthusiastic.
Bai Han smiled. "There's no need to rush to dinner. Dr. He still needs Dr. Chen's help."
He had followed them simply to see if He Mu was telling the truth, whether he had come with ulterior motives or was genuinely just meeting up with his colleague for a casual outing.
Now, with this person present, it proved that He Mu was not lying, or at least, he hadn't told a readily disprovable and outlandish lie.
Chen Yi blinked in surprise and looked at He Mu. "He Mu, you need my help with something?"

However, Chen Yi was still happy that He Mu could help him get acquainted with influential people. He felt he had to maintain a good relationship with such helpful colleagues. More importantly, He Mu seemed very familiar with these two "big shots."
He Mu said calmly, "Yes, I do need your help. I was stabbed in the back, so I need you to take care of it."
Chen Yi was shocked by this statement. "You, you, you were stabbed?"
As he spoke, he began to examine He Mu and finally noticed the large bloodstain on his back. "Come here quickly, let me see. My heavens, that must be a significant wound. Are you alright?"
The amount of blood indicated a substantial wound. He Mu had managed to endure and come to find him; how had he not noticed He Mu's bravery before?

Chen Yi nodded in agreement. "Alright, I'll take a look."
With that, he reached to lift He Mu's shirt.
The edge of his shirt was slightly lifted, revealing a few well-defined abdominal muscles.
Seeing this, Chen Yi couldn't help but tease, "Wow, you said you were going to work out, and it looks like you really did! You've developed such great abs."
He recalled that He Mu used to talk about going to the gym often, but he rarely saw him exercise.
On this trip, he did notice He Mu eating healthier and making time for workouts.
It seemed that limiting his diet and exercising really worked. He Mu wasn't exactly fat before, but he certainly didn't have abs. Chen Yi couldn't help but want to look at his physique more.
Hearing Chen Yi's remark, Bai Xi and Bai Han were involuntarily reminded and their eyes were drawn to He Mu's physique.
Everyone appreciates beauty; it's human nature.
In the next second, He Mu directly reached out and stopped Chen Yi's hand, which was still trying to lift his shirt, and looked at Bai Xi. "Mr. Bai, if you wish to stay and talk with Dr. Chen, please do. However, Miss Bai, would you mind excusing yourself? I don't mind being looked at, but it might not be very appropriate for you."
Bai Xi snapped back to reality. "Okay."
To be honest, having worked in the dark department for so long, she had seen men with their shirts off countless times and didn't think much of it. This was why she hadn't reacted immediately when Chen Yi lifted He Mu's shirt.
But with He Mu saying that, while it was nominally about appropriateness for her, she suspected he himself would feel awkward. After all, they were of opposite genders, and not particularly familiar with each other. Being so exposed frankly was indeed not ideal.

Bai Xi raised an eyebrow and looked at her brother. "Brother, didn't you say yesterday that you wouldn't interfere with Mom and Dr. He's free interaction?"
Bai Han replied calmly, "I am not interfering. I merely wish to ascertain the safety of this person, He Mu."
