Chapter 608: Encounter

"Second Young Master Chu, this is the master I was talking about. His name is..." Bald Xie bent over, walking alongside, when he suddenly realized he didn't know the master's name.

Second Young Master Chu, originally named Chu Feiwan, was the second son of the old Chu Family patriarch. He had married three times, but all had ended in divorce. He was a womanizer; although he dressed impressively, his face was somewhat sallow and his steps unsteady, clearly a man drained by indulgence.

The old patriarch of the Chu Family had three sons and one daughter. The others were successful in business or politics, only Chu Feiwan hung around in Bin Hai all day, managing several entertainment clubs and idling away his time, hardly regarded within his own family.

Nevertheless, Second Young Master Chu was still a well-known figure in Bin Hai.

Yesterday, Second Young Master Chu heard that Bald Xie had encountered a master, but in his mind, a so-called master should at least be a middle-aged man, if not white-haired and showing the aura of an immortal. How could it be that the person sitting before him was just a child?

"Is this the master you mentioned?" Chu Feiwan frowned. "Don't tell me you're trying to curry favor with me by bringing just anyone here to appease me?"

"Second Young Master, even with the courage of a lion I wouldn't dare," Bald Xie hastily said. Yesterday, he had personally seen Lin Mo with a Golden Python that could also shrink in size. If this wasn't an expert, what is?

Second Young Master Chu harrumphed coldly, mustering a bit of energy as he approached Lin Mo, though his expression and demeanor showed little regard.

Although there were strange and remarkable people in the world, and the Chu Family had hired some, true masters weren't so easily encountered. Bald Xie was probably exaggerating to please him.

"Hello, I am Chu Feiwan. May I ask how to address you?" Chu Feiwan asked, trying to be patient.

"Lin Mo."

Lin Mo sat nonchalantly on the sofa, lifting his eyelids to give him a brief glance, his expression indifferent.

Chu Feiwan frowned. In Bin Hai, nobody had ever dared treat him with such disdain, not even those so-called 'masters' who were always very polite to him.

"Could this young man truly possess some real skills, or is he merely putting on an act?" Chu Feiwan wondered internally.

However, as his father was recently unwell and all his siblings and cousins were busy seeking experts and masters for help, he, Chu Feiwan, although seemingly prestigious in Bin Hai, depended on the Chu Family's name. Inside the family, those who turned their eyes skyward did not respect him.

Thus, Chu Feiwan was eager to find a master to stabilize his position in the Chu Family; otherwise, once his father passed away, being sidelined meant his prestigious days would be over.

"So, you are Master Lin. I have heard your great reputation from Bald Xie before. Actually, I just need help with one thing. My father is seriously ill and hasn't improved after seeing many doctors. If Master Lin can help, you can name your reward," Chu Feiwan stated.

"Hmm." Lin Mo nodded lightly.

A strange glimmer crossed Chu Feiwan's eyes as he spoke, "However, my father isn't feeling well today and cannot come out. Why don't you accompany me to the underground boxing ring at my Immortal Mountain Club?"

It turned out that the Immortal Mountain Club wasn't just for ordinary entertainment and leisure; it also housed an underground boxing ring and a gambling den.

These two facilities were the major sources of Chu Feiwan's income. The underground boxing ring was located on the second basement level of the club and was inaccessible without a VIP card or personal lead.

The underground boxing ring was almost as grand as a soccer stadium, surrounded by stands with pathways in between, leaving the center as the arena.

Chu Feiwan, with a proud look on his face, boasted, "Master Lin, my underground boxing ring isn't bad, right? It can rank in the top 20 across Huaxia." Lin Mo, however, seemed not to hear him, his gaze fixated on two women approaching them, his body visibly jolting.

The two women, one taller and one shorter, both dressed in casual attire and looked exceptionally ordinary—even more so than Zhang Xiaomei—and wore no luxury brands.

But as Lin Mo's gaze locked onto them, the taller woman also looked up. Her eyes, though not matching her plain appearance, were filled with an unusual spiritual energy—clean and clear, somewhat indifference, like a pure lake.

"Meng Die."

Lin Mo watched her, momentarily lost, before reaching out towards the woman's wrist.

Seeing his move, she recoiled sharply, her eyes turning cold as she slightly opened her lips and said, "What are you doing?"

"Meng Die, don't you recognize me?" Lin Mo's face showed surprise.

Both women had used magic to disguise themselves, but under Lin Mo's piercing vision, all illusions and disguises were futile. He clearly saw the familiar face.

But the current Xia Mengdie looked colder and more detached, as if covered in a layer of frost, her skin even paler and more delicate, her features exuding an ethereal quality. However, despite the transformations, Lin Mo was confident he could never misidentify her.

"What Meng Die, I don't know what you are talking about?" the woman said, furrowing her willow leaf eyebrows and looking at Lin Mo with a hint of anger.

"We don't know you at all. If you don't get out of our way, don't blame us for being impolite," the woman beside her added sharply.

Lin Mo's pupils constricted slightly, unable to help but clench his fists. Could he really have mistaken someone else for her?

Although she looked extremely similar to Xia Mengdie, the cold, emotionless aura she exuded made him feel so unfamiliar and brought a slight pain to his heart.

As Lin Mo stood dumbfounded, the taller woman frowned and brushed past the girl next to her, walking towards the door.

After hesitating for a moment, Lin Mo decided not to follow her. Now, he was somewhat unsure whether the woman was indeed Xia Mengdie, especially since she seemed to have impressive cultivation.

Xia Mengdie's Nine Yin Body was not suitable for cultivation, and even if she had cured her illness, she wouldn't possibly have completely forgotten him.

"Could she really not be Meng Die?" Lin Mo murmured, somewhat lost in thought.

"Master Lin, those two women looked pretty ordinary. Do you like that type? If you do, I can arrange to find a few for you tonight," Chu Feiwan laughed heartily, considering Lin Mo to be a passionate young man.

Chu Feiwan and Bald Xie completely missed Lin Mo's reaction and went to take their seats in the front row of the boxing match. Lin Mo sat beside them, but his mind was not on the match, rather on the two women who had just left.

Outside the Immortal Mountain Club, the two women stepped outside, performed a spell with their hands and revealed their true faces; both were exceptionally beautiful, but the taller woman looked even purer and prettier, almost like a fairy descendent from heavens.

"Sister Miao Xin, who was that man just now?" the woman next to her frowned, "Hmph, if only Master hadn't forbidden us from casually using magic, I would have taught him a lesson for daring to flirt with you."

"Miao Zhu, perhaps he mistook me for someone else?" Miao Xin said, parting her red lips slightly, yet feeling a bit puzzled inside. When she had seen that young man earlier, a strange, unsettling feeling had surged in her heart, one she had never experienced before.

"Let me not meet him again," Miao Zhu snorted coldly, then sighed and said worriedly, "We still haven't found him; has he already left Bin Hai? If we can't find him and retrieve the Immortal Herbs, how are we going to explain it to Master?"

"He should still be here; the Purple Spirit Pearl can still sense his aura," Miao Xin said with furrowed brows, shaking her head. "Let's go back to the hotel first and think of another plan."

"That's all we can do. If the Divine Grass is away from the Miao Xue Divine Palace for too long, even the Purple Spirit Pearl might not be able to detect its aura," Miao Zhu expressed her concerns.

In the Underground Boxing Ring.

"Second Master, I'm here."

As everyone just took their seats, a middle-aged man dressed in multi-layered soled cloth shoes and a black practice outfit came over and greeted Chu Feiwan with a fist salute.

"Master Zhang has arrived, please take a seat here," Chu Feiwan hurriedly invited him to sit to the left of the main seat, showing a slight sign of respect, while Bald Xie also nodded and bowed beside him.

Chu Feiwan then turned to Lin Mo, "Master Lin, you can sit over there," pointing to the most secluded corner.

Lin Mo had no objections and took his seat.

"Master Lin, Bald Guy, is this the master you were talking about?" Master Zhang glanced at Lin Mo with a look of contempt in his eyes.

Bald Xie glanced at Lin Mo and seeing that Lin Mo didn't even dare to utter a word, he couldn't help but laugh awkwardly, starting to doubt himself.

Thinking this, Bald Xie felt a bit uneasy; if Master Lin really had no real skills, his own status in Second Master's eyes might plummet in the future.

"I think he's just a young man," Master Zhang coldly snorted, then swaggered to his seat.

Master Zhang was a well-known boxing expert in Bin Hai, having a special relationship with Chu Feiwan. If not for Chu Feiwan's personal invitation and a promise of ten million in cash, he wouldn't have easily agreed to help.

Although Chu Feiwan is an underground powerhouse in Bin Hai, this doesn't mean he dominates alone; he has a sworn enemy, Liu Mazi, another prominent figure in Bin Hai's underworld. However, there are deep conflicts between the two, and it's said that this time Liu Mazi invited a fighting master from South Korea to challenge the arena.

Hence, Chu Feiwan had to spend heavily to invite Master Zhang for support.

This was why Chu Feiwan was so respectful towards Master Zhang.

As for the recently met 'Master Lin,' Chu Feiwan was still uncertain; maybe he was just a fraud that Bald Xie had brought in to please him, nowhere near as formidable as Master Zhang.

"Master Zhang, we'll have to rely on you today," Chu Feiwan said humbly with a hand-folded salute. "Don't worry, I still need to go back for tea after the fight," Master Zhang replied nonchalantly, maintaining an expert's demeanor.
